Take it easy at this charming and tranquil farmhouse on 2 private acres on the Chesapeake Bay.

The 1920’s farmhouse has been has all the charm you want plus the modern conveniences and light and bright home styling you love.

Mathews County has 214 miles of shoreline - more than any county on the Chesapeake Bay. With rich local history, two historic lighthouses, several natural beaches, excellent local restaurants, and a really helpful visitor center. Exceptional fishing off the private dock, and room for extra guests to camp on this private lot.

Only the we needed was more time here!

Our family loved our time here! Perfect place for relaxing! Our host was extremely responsive and made the visit worry-free. Would love to return and spend more time!

We loved our stay! Brandon was an excellent host. He responded right away when we decided we had to stay an extra night. The beautiful views, and sunrises made this a most memorable Christmas!!

Spectacular setting & a beautiful property. Clean and well maintained. A very helpful and communicative host. Great having kayaks available for the guests!

A lovely property with incredible views from every room. Brandon was very responsive with any questions. The house felt like a home by the end of the week. We very much enjoyed coffee on the deck while watching the sunrise.

Great property in Mathews County with spectacular views from most rooms. We lived on the pier where the kids swam and played as well as everyone enjoying kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming in the creek. The house is perfect with space for kids and adults with a beautiful deck overlooking the water. The host family is extremely attentive and responsive. Mathews is a perfectly charming small town with good restaurants and shops. Five star rating in our book.

Brandon was very responsive with our questions. The house is absolutely beautiful and we loved being right on the water. The grandkids had a blast and we were able to enjoy our vacation together. We loved the nearby shops and restaurants. A hidden gem for sure!!!

Tranquil property with beautiful water views

Loved our stay here at this peaceful and quiet property. We spent most of our time in the back room that has large windows overlooking the water, watching for eagles, egrets, cormorants, ducks, and gulls go about their daily business. On warmer, sunnier days, we spent time in the secluded yard taking in the wildlife or venturing down the dock to take in the lapping sounds of the water. The house itself has the charm of an older house with modern conveniences. Altogether, we enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the future.

Vacation

Great place to unwind. Brought the boat down from the upper bay and took part in the fishery with lots of success. We will certainly be back next year.

The house is charming and comfortable, with enough room for multiple families. The sunrise views are unmatched, and sunset on the large deck and new dock are hard to beat. We welcome guests to bring their boat or camper. With about 2 private acres on a point, there’s plenty of space and privacy with a 14-mile view across the Chesapeake Bay to Cape Charles.
