Wonderful spot to have as a home base while exploring Monterey, Carmel, etc. Very comfortable and clean, plus has everything you would need! Communication was easy and clear. We enjoyed our stay!

Was a very comfortable stay in a good location. Was not aware there was no air conditioning but luckily it was cool enough outside during our stay. The kitchen has everything, master bedroom and bath are great and comfortable.

Air conditioning is uncommon on the Monterey Peninsula, as our typically cool coastal climate and ocean breezes usually keep temperatures comfortable. House worked perfectly for our stay. Lots of room to spread out and relax. Proximity to beach/ocean was nice. Perfect location for 2-3 couples. Would not hesitate to book and stay again

Unit does not have ac and it never cooled down with windows open. Unit was very dusty especially in the living area and kitchen. We felt very exposed in unit , not enough blinds or curtains.

We had a wonderful stay in this charming rental! Very clean, great kitchen, and fun location. Easy check-in and communication with the host. We’d definitely consider visiting again in the future!

Wonderful property and would stay here again! The road noise looks like it'd be awful, but we didn't hear anything. No concerns about the neighborhood either. Beds were great, facilities excellent, and it made for a great base for excursions to Pinnacles, Monterrey, and beyond.

Very comfortable beachy house which was suitable for toddlers. The location was convenient and there is a pocket park with a playground like a block away. We had a great stay.

Very cute well appointed home very central to everything. The only thing that could be better was the water pressure and temperature- the shower would not stay hot. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Host was communicative and transparent. Check in/out instructions were easy to follow. Space was well decorated and stocked. We had a nice evening eating on the balcony around the fire pit. Only things to keep in mind are that the AC doesn’t work and traffic between the VRBO and Monterey/Carmel-by-the-Sea can be heavy, but it’s still a much cheaper accommodation than you would find in those more popular areas.

Sand Castle Stay.

Stayed at the Sand Castle for 4 nights with my family. Accommodations were outstanding. Lots to see and do in the area. It was nice to come back to a nice spot to relax Definitely would stay here again!

Great Stay

The house is beautiful and has everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The beach is a short walk and it's super easy to drive or uber to other Monterey attractions.

Great house for visiting with your group.

I spent 5 nights with 3 family members and this house was the perfect place to visit and catch up with each other. The open area including the kitchen, dining, and living was light filled. The house is located in a very quiet area. The house was very clean and the kitchen was well supplied, The beds were comfortable.

Great place to stay at

Really enjoyed our time in this house. We stayed in a few different properties on this trip and this one was by far the best! Plenty of space for 6 people, fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms and very clean. It's on a dead end street, so very quiet.
