Loved the house! The owners were great. Accommodations were fantastic. The owner checked in with me a couple times while I was staying there to make sure everything was good. Would definitely stay here again. The area was great.

We had such a wonderful stay! The hosts were very very responsive and they go above and beyond for their guests. The lake was absolutely beautiful, and we loved seeing the sunsets every evening by the water. Thank you for everything!

Lake side cabin with a pontoon. Great location, very quiet with birdsong. Some deer wandered past on our last morning. All the amenities you need to stay comfortably and short drive to shops for groceries. With large suitcases stairs could be an issue but we managed fine. Very good washer and drier if you are mid trip! Great hosts!

This place was very nice. Lovely decor. Nice view of the water with tables outside to dine if you'd like. The bed was quite firm but that worked well for me. If you want to stay here, make sure that you bring sandals because there are small rocks on the walk down to the lake. If you have mobility issues, keep in mind that the bedrooms and the only bathroom are upstairs. The steps down to the lake are also uneven at points. I particularly liked that it was easy to swim under the wooden deck over the lake to keep out of the hot sun. Hosts were professional and responsive.

There is nothing I would have changed about our stay or the property. There was nothing needed that was not found. We enjoyed swimming and fishing in the lake. We made full breakfasts and dinners in the kitchen. Both beds upstairs were so comfortable that we are going to try to buy the mattresses for our house. While there are a lot of steps - so keep that in mind for anyone who has young children or mobility issues - we found that easy to overlook when taking into consideration everything we gained with such a lovely home and a fantastic view of the lake. It truly was an incredible week.

My friend and I had a girls weekend at the Trout Pond in late September and it was exactly what the doctor prescribed. We kayaked and paddleboarded, cooked at-home meals and ate on the dock, and generally just relaxed! This small cove has a nice view of Lake Wiley activity, and nice calm and safe waters to paddle around in. The large dock is perfect for lounging and parking large boats, and there is a small area from which kayaks etc can be put in as well. As a plus, we got a great workout going up and down the steps between the house and dock! The cottage was very clean and kitchen was extremely well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, etc, and water. The furniture (couch, easy chair, beds) was comfortable and we enjoyed the light and view from the large windows in the living room.We experienced a rare NC weekend with perfect weather but I imagine this would be a great place to jump in the lake for hot summer days, as there's also an outdoor shower. Also, the neighbor's dog was adorable, and check-in and check-out process was very easy.

We had a very relaxing time here! beauitful views of the lake. . The property was Clean upgraded, fully stocked with evething we needed. Our hosts were very kind and responded quickly to our inquiries. Will rebook again in the summer great for boatng with the private dock

This was a beautiful cabin with all the modern updates, but the old feel will definitely stay here again. The host had everything perfect and the views were amazing. Recommend this to anyone.

Awesome weekend getaway with grown kids and an 8 yr old
