The house was my childhood home and has been in my family for several generations. My husband and I couldn't bring ourselves to sell it when my father passed away so we decided to completely restore it. The house is like new with everything updated. We lovingly remade or restored all the best the house could be.

I believe you will be surprised by the quiet country feel of the neighborhood. The location is perfect for just about everything.
- New Braunfels is several minutes away with two rivers and the best waterpark in the country.
- Some of the best shopping in the state is less than 30 minutes away.
- San Antonio and the riverwalk are 45 minutes to the south and Austin is only 1 hour to the north.

- And the Texas hill country is at your back door.

Cute and adorable. Everything we needed for a quiet, peaceful stay. We really enjoyed all the deer and the close location to Gruene. Can’t wait to stay there again.

The home and property and owners were beyond amazing. We are definitely wanting to come back during cooler months to spend the most time outside. Everything is exactly as described. The owner is super helpful and quick to respond to any need. The house is the cutest thing ever. The deer are so fun to watch. We would highly recommend this house to anyone. It is perfect!

A beautiful home just a stone's throw from Gruene Hall and a short drive from the water recreation areas on New Braufels. The owner was a prompt communicator throughout the rental process and our stay there. We had an issue with a coffee maker after a few days. I texted Marjorie and almost before I set my phone down her husband was coming throught the gate (they live next door) with a replacement!

Clean, cute, and cozy. The perfect space for a girls weekend. Marjorie had the place decorated for Christmas which was the cherry on top!

We loved this home. It was so welcoming. The host was so nice and available when needed. We will definitely go back. And we highly recommend this place.

Perfect house for a getaway! You feel like you are out in the country, but so close to everything. We spent a day at Guadalupe River State Park and another exploring Gruene that’s only a 5min drive away. The house is very well stocked with amenities and we enjoyed sitting out on the patio watching deer walk by and listening to the peace and quiet. The owners are next door if you need anything(doubt you will) but were very respectful of our space and privacy. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Stay in Deer Heaven

Loved our few days in the adorable Rahe House and lovely neighborhood amongst the deer. Oh yeah, and nearby Gruene and New Braunfels were fun too!!

Cozy stay

We very much enjoyed staying here for our weekend trip. The hosts were excellent. The house was clean. It was close to everything. We loved seeing the deer and the animals out back.

Relaxing Gruene Getaway

I enjoyed staying here. The accommodations were comfortable, clean, well-outfitted, and well-maintained. Whether relaxing inside or outside with the deer, the house had everything we needed.

My wife and I stayed for a couple nights visiting family in New Braunfels. She was very impressed on how beautiful the house was. It's well equipped with everything you need and the beds are very comfy.It's location is excellent for visiting Gruene or anything else in New braunfels. We really enjoyed sitting outside having coffee in the morning and watching the deer feed next to the house. The owner is very sweet and was very attentive to our needs.

Peaceful respite in serene setting

Quaint and comfortable cottage close to NB and Gruene. Lots of deer roaming around. Very peaceful. Fully stocked and clean. Friendly and helpful owner.
