Rocky Start!!!
Upscale area with private key pass beach access was great. We were not impressed by the community swimming pool and elected not to go. It would have been so nice to have had our own home pool. That is a must have on our next rental. The kitchen was very well-stocked and ample enough dishes and flatware. The kids enjoyed fishing off the dock immensely.
The evening sunsets were beautiful!
Our check-in was very difficult. The 10 digit number we were texted did not work. Called the company and tried to unlock the area to use the key. We found out later we were at the home owners que box in back of the house. There was another in the front but we were not told this by the phone personnel! After 45 mins waiting outside we had to call the maintenance man. He came and gave us a 3-digit lock reset that worked perfectly. Said he didn't know why they don't give visitors the 3 digit combination, the 10 digit never works!
The elevator didn't work for 2 days. Again the maintainence man called and after using his screw driver to pry a section open, said the elevator was stuck between floors. Not our fault because we cd never get it to open either up or down!!!
My husband really needed this since he has a pin in his broken pelvis.
The Master Bedroom bed mattress was atrocious. The added pillowtop mattress cover was not a good addition just pulled the fitted sheet off.
Unless VACASA improves their guest check-ins and maintains the elevators, we will not be paying this kind of money any more. We usually rent our vacation homes through VRBO. WE've never experienced these kind of problems with their high end rentals.
The home and grounds were very nice and we were pleased with them.
