INITIAL SUPPLIES - UPON ARRIVAL
Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar and body wash. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom & one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens & towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.


All credit card payments will incur a non-refundable 3.5% convenience fee. E-Checks are accepted for advance reservations at no additional charge (provided they are submitted at least 30 days prior to check-in).

The beach was just a short 5 minute bike ride from our location and the pool at The Pointe was beautiful. Our unit was clean and comfortable. We could easily walk to the shops and restaurants at Rosemary Beach. Definitely a great place to stay on the 30A!

Annual Birthday Family Getaway

We’ve been coming to 30A for last few years, and this was our best yet. The location was perfect and the condo is very spacious. We would absolutely stay again.

Amazing property!

Great condo and spacious for our family of 5! Biking distance to so many shops and restaurants. Big bad breakfast was a delicious on site restaurant for breakfast and lunch! Property manager was very responsive to the couple questions we had during our stay. Would definitely stay here again on our next visit to the area.

40th Birthday weekend

Very cute condo, tastefully decorated and clean. Well stocked kitchen with plenty of towels noted in the bathrooms. Loved the ground floor location. Just a few steps away from the pool, hot tub, and out door fireplace. We will certainly stay here again.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The condo was clean, comfortable, and stayed nice and cool even during a hot Fourth of July weekend. The location is excellent. It’s an easy walk to Rosemary Beach, shops, restaurants, and the free public beach access at Winston Lane. We used Coastal Beach Services for chair and umbrella rentals; they were fantastic and accommodated us on relatively short notice during a busy holiday weekend.The biggest surprise with this rental was that you aren’t really renting directly through VRBO. After booking, you’re directed (and required) to work through the property’s management company, pay via that website, pay an extra fee if you use a credit card (bank transfer avoids the fee). Communication was also confusing because messages came through both VRBO and the management company’s texting system, and the information wasn’t always consistent.The 4 included bikes were another frustration. The management company outsources the bikes to a 2nd company, which then uses a 3rd company to maintain the bikes, making the process more complicated than it needed to be. We initially received the wrong bike lock code 1 bike had a flat tire, & I wasn’t thrilled that multiple companies ended up with my data and personal information.Suggestion for improvement: would have been really nice to have more than 2 laundry pods and 2 dish detergent pods for a 4 day stay.Overall, this was a good, budget spot to stay on 30A.

I would recommend asking about the current condition of the property. The listing does not show pictures of the major construction that is going on. Every singe patio had massive beams. I googled it and found that Walton County shut them down for unsafe conditions. None of this was mentioned in the listing. I read reviews that the elevators were not working so I sent a message during the booking to see if there were any other limitations to the property, aside from the elevator. I was told no. Upon arrival, we also found out the roof top is not accessible. We also had an issue with a gas smell when we turned on the oven. After happening twice, we asked maintenance to come. They came and the pilot was out. The next time we fired up the oven, there was a gas smell again. The next guy came out and in 5 seconds said it was the mat that was in the bottom of the oven, simply remove it and the gas smell goes away. They add it to help make the oven cleaning quicker but we were not able to use the oven for four days. The maintenance guy said he gets those calls all the time for those "cleaning mats". The unit was very nice and clean. Stocked very well for a family that likes to cook! Having a restaurant on the property was really nice too! The beach walk was only 5 minutes, very accessible. Really appreciated having bicycles, beach chairs and beach dolly.

Great location with easy access

My mom and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. The check-in and out process was very easy. Communication was prompt. The pictures matched the space and the place was nicely maintained and spacious. The beds were comfortable. We did not cook but they provided plenty of utensils and cookware. The location was great and the complex was quiet. It’s a quick bike ride or walk to Main Street or 30Avenue. You have everything you need in less than a mile! The town is quaint and absolutely beautiful. We had a great time and will definitely be coming back.

The unit was clean and the location to to the beach was great. The smoke alarm went off at midnight our first night there. I called to property mgt company at 12:30. No one showed up until 4:30 the next day. They had to come back the following day because the one battery wasn't installed correctly and was beeping! The toaster did not work. There was no strainer for pasta. A few more dishwasher pods would be nice along with another roll of paper towels

Good, but not quite perfect

Overall we were very pleased with the cleanliness, layout and space provided by this unit. Being on the ground floor provided easy access to the pool area but it wasn’t too loud despite it being Spring Break. We also loved the short walk to the beach and restaurants nearby. Our only negative experiences were with The Pointe property itself and accuracy of the listing, as well as communication with the rental company. -The listing indicates the pool is heated year round but it definitely didn’t feel heated and another guest mentioned they spoke with the front desk person who told them they don’t heat it after March 31st (our stay began April 1st). The weather when we visited was in the high 60’s to low 70’s so it was generally too cold to enjoy the pool since it wasn’t heated. -The listing shows pictures of a rooftop lounge area. We were told this was not yet open for the season. -The listing indicates beach service is included, but it took multiple emails and texts to the property manager to find out how to book this service. Instructions were not included with our check in email or welcome packet as I would have expected. I learned it’s best to text them for a timely response.
