This is a excellent location to explore New River Gorge National Park. Crystal was very helpful in getting us settled in. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Highly recommend.

One of my favorite rentals! The place was amazing! The river views were perfect, the house is beautiful and massive! The host made us cookies and left little dog treats for the pups. My whole group had the best time!

Came on a little family trip and was very pleased with accommodations. Would definitely stay here again. Great communication with owners, had cookies and dog treats waiting on arrival which was very thoughtful. House very clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast at the General Store next door was great as well. Highly recommend this rental.

Host was very welcoming. The home was clean, inviting, and had everything we needed to make our stay a memorable one. We hope to go back again for a longer stay!

House was spacious and clean, very comfortable. Took about 45 min to get to the bridge. Nice close public place to put in kayaks. Trains were not a problem. Very quiet, when no train :). Nice little general store that was close. Sandstone ranger station, very close.

House was very nice and as described. Very clean. The river patio view was awesome. The only negative at all was the trains coming by and sounding alarms for the track crossing. I would like to return in the future.

Clean and comfortable. Attention to detail seen throughout house. Open and charming farmhouse. New River a few steps away for fishing. I’ll be staying here again. It is near to a railroad, but it didn’t bother me at all.

Great attention to detail with every creature comfort. There were even fresh baked cookies upon arrival! An absolutely beautiful remote location! The General Store is an added bonus, with very helpful and friendly staff.

Beautiful older home

This place has the charm of an older home with some nice modern upgrades. The river is beautiful and the train was very relaxing believe it or not. We will definitely stay there again!

The kitchen was full equipped for us to cook breakfast and dinners with. Had everything we needed. A great spice selection. The gas station has pretty much everything we may have forgot. Plenty of room for everyone. Communication witb host was great. Check in was smooth

Mini Vacay

We picked this house for a white water rafting trip and it did not disappoint! Beautiful home with everything we needed! The owners were wonderful to work with and attentive. Would stay here again!

Beautiful views!

Beautiful house with beautiful views! Was there for a quick weekend trip to go whitewater rafting and we hiked in the Sandstone Falls! The general store in the area is very convenient as well and they have good food!

Loved staying here! I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay here! Very clean place, had everything we needed and more. Such a great place to stay at, and anyone that doesn't stay here is missing out on a great place and area. The Richmond's and Boyds showed great generosity through the things,they did to provide us with a wonderful stay and delicious cookies! We love to visit again, and thank you so much!

Weekend Fishing Trip

We stayed at The Big House for a weekend float on the New River. The house was great and came as advertised. Excellent proximity to the house river. Convenience store right next door was great.

We cannot praise this property enough. Super clean. Well appointed. Better cookis than the DoubleTree Hotel. The general store has excellent food right next door. Super friendly people. We would stay again in a hearbeat.
