We actually had tornadoes couple days before she came a lot of water everywhere. They was a nice group, but actually took the body wash with them.

Beautiful neighborhood. Host was gracious enough to allow us to enter early. Short walk to grocery store with very reasonable prices and a very impressive assortment of hot prepared food.I would recommend it.

The property was awesome kids love the pool table and bunk beds also the couches definitely pet friendly everyone in the area was nice got some good places to eat from a cpl ppl convenient area also parking was great the host always answerd and helped in anyway highly suggest staying here if visiting Chicago

Perfect place for my family, just outside of the city. Neighbors were great, host was amazing, and the place was perfect for my teenage boys!! Lots of space to sleep and the pool table was a fantastic bonus! Walkable neighborhood, and if you prefer public transportation there are a ton of options!! Definitely will look up this host for future trips!

The place flooded. There was no toiletries except for toilet paper no silverware or dishes and one bedroom had no air-conditioning.

Unfortunately, I thought they were a nice group of people. I actually bent over backwards, accommodating them by buying them $,70 worth of food and replacing towels, but I guessed that wasn't enough. Everybody wants something for free.My fellow owners.Please don't rent

The host was great about communication, and responded quickly whenever I had questions. Check in was simple and straightforward, which was great. Parking was on the street right outside, which was convenient. The location is great if you're riding the Metra Electric Rail or CTA buses, but it is in a rougher part of Chicago (there's a higher crime rate, but we did not experience anything dangerous). The apartment had all the amenities listed, but the unit itself could use some work. It's a basement unit in a 100 year old building, and it's not ventilated very well, which meant a lot of things were sticky feeling from the humidity or had a smell (potentially from a previous tenant/guest or from a neighbor), including the floor. However, for the price we paid, the place was absolutely a steal. It just could use some TLC.

Check-in was fairly easy, though the space itself was not very clean - floors, towels, and bathtub were visibly dirty and smelled of mildew. There was only one plate and no bowls or utensils at all. Location was great, though - very close to buses and Metra.

The location is great. It was in great distance of everywhere I needed to go. The apartment itself was lovely. Lennell responded to all my messages promptly. The only problem I had was that the main bedroom didn't have any heat

Nice space and could have held more people if we had a bigger group. Any issues we had the host helped. Only thing we didn’t like was there wasn’t hand soap in the bathroom or any trash bags.

The property was in a very poor area and lots of fallen trees and we could not get to the property without going the wrong way on one way streets because of trees that had fallen down from a recent rainstorm. We did not get any heads up about the situation and it was very difficult to access the property because of the rain storm and flooding on the streets. The area around the home had graffiti and businesses with barred up windows, furniture in the alleyway, and I realized we were not in a good area in Chicago. This is despite some good reviews about it being a safe neighborhood however it did not feel like a safe neighborhood. Despite this, the person renting the home was very accommodating, I walked through the residence and it smelled very musty, vrbo offered me 50 back on the rental. But the renter offered me a third of the price of the rental which I appreciated.

The host was very responsive, and the place was clean and safe, exactly what we needed in a landing pad for our babymoon getaway to Chicago! The access to the metra (commuter rail, NOT L train service) and bus service was nice, but I do want to let other travelers know there’s not a ton of food options nearby nor many dishes (cups, plates, cutlery) or an ice machine/molds in the apartment. The walls are mostly bare, and you can certainly hear the neighbors who seemed to argue nightly during our stay. We also only had one roll of paper towels and one full roll of toilet paper which was thankfully enough since we stayed out exploring for most of our trip. Overall, we appreciated the space and it worked for us, but wanted to let anyone with a larger group/more needs know before booking! Thanks Lennell for hosting us!
