This is truly a charming place! It is very cozy , with comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. There is a binder with lots of information on the area - hiking trails, restaurants, etc. I loved sitting on the little patio in the morning, drinking coffee, and listening to the elk bugle. I would come back to Payson just to stay here.

The house is so welcoming and cosy! Very well equipped kitchen for any cooking adventure. The views of the mountains are beautiful. The back deck was a quiet spot both morning and in the evening. We will defintely be back soon. Thank you George!

George was an amazing host. He went above and beyond what we expected and the cottage was spectacular. We attended a wedding at Woods Canyon Lake and this was the perfect place for our home base and to relax. Beautiful mountain views and a quiet neighborhood which we loved.

From reading the description of the property, we felt this would be a good fit for us. We were not disappointed. We had the warm feeling of "Welcome" walking to the front door. Once inside we knew this was perfect. From the decor, all the special items that make a house a Home, well-appointed kitchen, comfortable furnishings and bed, views, and a beautiful sunset, to all the modern conveniences, we felt this property was a very Special Jewel. A perfect fit for us. The Host, George, was wonderful - great communications and very accommodating. We will return, hopefully many times.

Everything was perfect, with great views from the back patio. This was one of our favorite VRBOs and location was convenient to all of Payson.

No question, the Spanish Jewel truly is a gem! Its decor is creative and imaginative. The host, George, does everything possible to make your visit special and memorable. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need, the furnishings are comfortable and elegant - the only sad moment we experienced was having to leave.

The inside was clean and charming and for the length of our stay worked out great

The property was a little tattered however clean on the inside it was a charming little place to spend a couple of days and the price was right I would definitely return

It is clear that this is a much loved home. Take a moment to just sit and look around. The artwork, antiques and decor are truly charming and the result of a lot of thought and hard work. The home is amazingly well equipped with everything you need to cook. We were very comfortable during our stay.

Short Stay Vacation

The cottage was everything and more. As soon as I walked in, I felt at ease. There was everything that I could think of and more as way of information on the cottage and what to do or where to go in Payson. I highly recommend this place to anyone. I will definitely be going back again and again.

We stayed here for our 22-year anniversary and absolutely loved it! The house was cozy, clean, and comfortable — the perfect place to relax and unwind. The host was excellent and communicated clearly from start to finish. He even left us thoughtful gifts for our anniversary, which made the stay extra special. We were also so grateful to be allowed a late checkout — such a kind gesture that made our weekend even more relaxing. We’ll definitely be coming back!
