Welcome to the newly renovated Manatee Manor! With room for up to 10 guests and even furry friends under 75 pounds (with a pet fee), this haven is just steps from the bay, offering easy access to local beaches and all the area has to offer. Perfect for your next family escape!

Calling all outdoor enthusiasts! At Manatee Manor, enjoy parking for six cars, a fenced yard, outdoor shower, fire pit, basketball, tetherball, giant connect four, and horseshoes. It's the ultimate blend of relaxation and recreation!

Indoors, the lower level boasts a game room with a wet bar, laundry, and a half bath. Entertainment options include bumper pool, pinball, a Ninja Turtle arcade, and a TV. Kids of all ages can enjoy the cozy space with a futon and bunk overhead. The wet bar, equipped with a full-sized fridge, caters to any grocery overflow. Sliding glass doors lead to the lower deck and fenced side yard, enhancing the indoor-outdoor living experience.

Heading upstairs, you'll find two large decks and a screened porch. The sunroom has a dining table, game shelf, and space for twin beds. In the great room, there's a cozy living area with a large TV and plenty of seating. Three bedrooms are up here: one with a bunk bed and a chair that turns into a twin, another with a queen bed, and the master with a queen bed, adjustable frame, and French doors to a private deck with bay views. There's a full bath and a half bath for convenience, and smart TVs in every bedroom for streaming your favorite shows!

PLEASE NOTE: Beach toys and chairs are provided for guest use. Keep in mind that linens and towels are not included, so bringing your own or renting locally is recommended. For cozy evenings by the fire pit, guests should bring their own firewood.

Fall birthday getaway

Weather was great! We were able to enjoy the deck and yard with our dogs. Beach is close to the house. The house was very comfortable. Would definitely book here again. Thank you for sharing your lovely home!

Beach House for All Ages

The beach house was wonderful. Superb layout with various porches for any weather. The rooms and bathrooms were perfect. The bunkbed was a hit for the grandkids who dropped by on the first Saturday. We didn’t use the game room much but it was fun. The fenced side yard helped manage late night walkies. A real star. You can even sea the ocean from the master bedroom.

Fall Getaway

Just what we needed for a quick fall getaway. We enjoyed our repeat stay at the Manatee Manor and Lisa is a very accommodating, communicative host. The house was clean and spacious and the perfect fit for 2 adults and 2 dogs. It had everything we needed. Just like we remembered from our stay last year. Perfectly situated near our favorite Delaware stops, Dogfish Brewery, Woody’s and Nassau Winery. The outside fenced in yard was perfect for the dogs We took advantage of the large screened and unscreened deck in the day & evening . Because Broadkill is so quiet and laidback it is a great place to sit and listen to the waves. Perfect location. We love taking off season vacations to the shore. Lisa, thanks again for everything and I’m sure we’ll be reaching out again next year

First visit ever staying in Delaware for 7 days

Nice place to stay. possibly come back again. close to the Bay Beach area for Delaware. everything worked fine. My grandson made three new friends. Beach area was not crowded. Nice quiet neighborhood. It would have been nice to have an indoor stairway going down to the game room I think I ran out of room have an indoor stairway going to the game

Peaceful quiet stay during high season

Great property with everything one would need for a relaxing week at the beach. Beds were comfortable, clean, everything worked well and felt fresh. Directions and instructions were clear. Outdoor shower was wonderful to have. Fire pit, grill/deck, screened porch—all added to the space. Everyone (5 adults and 2 kids) had their nooks and crannies to retreat to when needed. We wanted to avoid the schlepping, traffic and commercialization at some of the other beaches and tried Broadkill this year. Really glad we did and this house was the perfect spot. It was a 2 minute walk to the beach. Could easily walk back and grab a beverage or take a break from the heat, eat lunch and head back out to the beach chair to nap without packing coolers when we didn’t feel like to. Everyone loved it and no one wanted to leave. The beach itself was not crowded and very clean. There were some biting flies which we anticipated but with a little OFF spray, we were fine. We were really spoiled being so close to the beach and feeling like it was all ours. Some days it seemed like an hour would go by before we would see someone else walk by our set up. Still close enough to go into lewes, rehoboth or milton for dinner/groceries. General store at the end of the block was wonderful for some ice cream and the best homemade donuts I’ve ever had. Put your order in for pick up on saturday morning when you have to check out as they soften the blow of vacation ending. Hope to be back next summer.

Total comfort

We are an older company and this rental was extremely thought out in all areas. All amenities were top notch and anything you possibly could need, other than linens and towels, were there. The decor just captures a beach vacation, very well appointed. The home was very clean and each space was set up for comfort and convenience. Several Pine trees surround the property, therefore a bit of pine needles do make ground level a little messy, however, my doggie didn’t want to leave, completely safe and great respite for the owners. Definitely give it a 10 and would definitely rebook. Thanks for the fun setting!!!!!!!!!!

Fun, quiet Easter

My family and I had a great Spring Break at Manatee Manor. It was quiet and peaceful, not too far from nearby towns and pretty much right on the beach. I loved the decor, although the living room couch and chair could use updating/ back support. My 2 young girls loved all the kid activities that were there, especially the game room, basketball hoop, magnet tiles and large legos. It was fun to just be able to walk up to the beach with our dog several times a day since it was right there. We cooked and ate most of our meals there and the kitchen had all of the supplies we needed. We did go into Milton, Lewes and Rehoboth several times, which were not too far away. Our small dog loved the fenced in yard as did we, but be careful of the gate where the bars are just slightly further apart than the rest of the fence; our dog snuck out but thankfully we we were right there and we discovered the large Connect 4 set was a good barrier for this 😋 I would definitely come back to Broadkill Beach and consider staying at Manatee Manor again ☺️

Mini Spring Break

We arrived Sunday, very excited about our stay until we realized an east coast storm, with high winds, and coastal flooding was going to spoil anytime sitting at the beach. However the home was comfortable, warm, and equip with everything we could need. If we get the chance to stay there again, we will! Our only bummer was that the basement was not accessible from the upstairs, but out teen was happy feeling like they had their own little apartment. The decor was stunning, and the home was beyond clean. The gated yard was a big help for us as we had our two dogs.

Awesome location

Access to beachfront (delaware bay) was awesome! Neighborhood quiet & safe ! Remember to bring sheets & towells, we missed that on the listing. Needed to buy paper towells & sponges - just minor things like that - otherwise no big problems at all. Overall really good trip & affordable. Ideal to be able to be that close to the water.

Quick getaway with Pups

Check-in process was easy, as was communication with owner. Location was as listed, quick walk to the beach and within driving distance to shops and restaurants. The home is well equipped with all you need for a quick getaway and more. We did not use the game room but we will enjoy that next time we come. Manatee Manor was great getaway spot for us and the puppers!

Wonderful Getaway

My wife and I had a great time during our winter getaway. We brought our dogs and the property was in a nice, quiet spot outside of Rehoboth. Host was fantastic. Would not hesitate to rent again.

Wonderful property and host

Christmas Get away

This was our family Christmas and hostess had the house decorate beautiful for the holiday. The house was fully stock and was close to the beach and we enjoy the weather on the porch for the holidays!! Great Stay!! Thank you!!!

Lovely winter getaway

We had a great winter weekend getaway! The house is beautiful and very clean.The kitchen was well stocked. We took advantage of the surprisingly warm weather to walk on the nearby beach, stargaze and have a fire in the fire pit. The deck was great and we were able to eat on the screened in porch.

Thanksgiving getaway with family

This was a wonderful place to meet up with family for Thanksgiving. It's just steps away from the beach and a short drive to the nature preserve, which made for lots of wonderful walks. There were tons of things for our kids to do--they had a blast playing nonstop tetherball outside and video games in the basement. And having a fenced in yard for our small dogs was a huge plus. The kitchen was well stocked to make a Thanksgiving meal (although there were no coffee filters, which had us running to the store; make sure to pack your own!). Some of the days we were there it got quite cold, and the one thing we were really missing were some blankets--the house has only thin, summer-weight comforters on the beds--so definitely pack your own if you like to sleep with a blanket or have one while lounging on a couch. We would definitely go back to Manatee Manor again.

Just what we needed

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Manatee Manor and Lisa was easy to communicate with. The house was clean and spacious for our party of 3 adults and 2 dogs. It had everything we needed. Definitely a place for families with all the thoughtful additions. Loved the pictures and beach decor, and of course the manatees. The kitchen had all the supplies we needed to cook breakfast and a few dinners in. The shower was roomy and had good water pressure. You might want to bring your own bath mat and a throw for watching tv on the couch. The outside fenced in yard was perfect for the dogs and the outside shower helped to rinse them off after a good swim in the ocean on a warm day. Tons of deck space both screened and unscreened, and a view of the bay from the master deck. The gas grill was put to good use during our stay. (Don't forget an outside water bowl for the pups if you plan to spend some time on the decks). We loved hearing the sound of crashing waves. We didn't really use the party room downstairs (it is not directly connected to the upstairs but is its own space). We did end up using the washer and dryer which was nice to have. Perfect location, just three homes from the dunes and Broadkill Beach. (The descent to the beach was be a bit of a challenge for my 80 yr old mother). Love, love, love the beach. So nice and quiet and empty and peaceful, just the way we like it and why we come on the off-season.

Being from Dover, Delaware Broadkill Beach isn't far away so we spend a lot of spare time in the area. As a busy family of four we are always on the go but when we come to Broadkill Beach the world slows down a little and we get to spend quality time together making memories. We love sharing our home with guests so they can experience Broadkill Beach and all the area has to offer!

Our family discovered Broadkill Beach several years ago and have been hooked ever since. We love it for the "old fashioned" summer feel. Our kids love riding their bikes to the store to get a treat after dinner or a donut that is still warm on the weekend. There is a sense of community here that you don't find in so many of the larger beach towns.

The house sits on a double lot which offers more outside space to play and a fenced yard for the dogs. This house truly has something for everyone young and old. There is a game room with wet bar on the first floor that all ages can enjoy. The out door area with fire pit, basket ball, tether ball, horseshoes and giant connect 4 is perfect after a day at the beach. The deck and screened in porch space is perfect for morning coffee or unwinding in the evening. The screened porch lets you be outside even if it is raining or the bugs are pesky.
