Owner was very on top of issues and that was appreciated. Prior renters left problems that he quickly fixed. Place was welcoming and great for dogs. Location was good as well!

Your search is over! This is the one!

This newly renovated home was ideal for our family get together of four adults and two teens. All the rooms were well appointed, with a beachy decor and many amenities. Chris, the owner, thought of everything, from toiletries in the bathrooms to a bowl of fruit on arrival to info on things to do and restaurants to visit. The house has great living space, and the upstairs bedroom suite was perfect for providing privacy for each family. Chris had water in the fridge, coffee on hand and a stock of cleaning supplies and condiments that allowed us to relax on our first day and not have to rush out to the supermarket. Chris made himself available to answer questions and to come over to help us out with the garage door. He lives locally and is very attentive. We’ve vacationed in Broadkill Beach several times. This rental was the best!

Fantastic house tucked back from road with cool features inside. Great space for our family of 6 with 3 teenagers and 1 person who needed to work. We love this neighborhood! Host was super responsive and helpful, too. We couldn’t see the water from the house but we could hear it. Would definitely go back.

This house is an absolute dream! I couldn't think of one possible thing that wasn't there that we needed. From beach gear to kitchen stuff and everything in between this house has it all and then some. It's decorated beautifully and was immaculate. Chris is so friendly and responsive. We can't wait to book this property next year.

Fully updated house with lots of toys

We had a great stay here and would recommend to anyone! Chris, the host, was so responsive, kind and helpful to us as we didn’t know the area well. He offered lots of recommendations on where to go to eat and fun things to do with the kids and such. The large wraparound deck was awesome. We enjoyed eating out on the deck for meals. The house is really nicely appointed and fully updated with beautiful and unique pieces. He bought lots of beach toys for the kids; there are three beach wagons, lots of beach chairs, a ton of kid bikes, and a few adult cruiser bikes along with lots of games/badminton and books/toys for kids. My kids loved the boat themed bunkbed. Loved how there was a brand new washer and dryer there to use along with air purifiers, lots of dishes/kitchen ware, and cozy blankets. The hoses on the ground level and on the deck, made it easy to rinse the sand off. The restaurants in Milton are about 15 minutes away, and we got food at the Broadkill store, 2 mins away. It’s about a five minute walk from house to beach. One of the beach days on the bay beach, the green flies were bad and biting but not bad the other days. It depends which way the wind is blowing. If wind comes from the east, they are not bad. The bay water was so calm and warm, sand so soft. It is perfect for families with young kids because you don’t have to worry about the big waves. We were the only ones on the private bay beach at times, which made it even more relaxing and special. Book it!

The house at Broadkill Beach was excellent! It is clean, comfortable, and filled with amenities. The separate upstairs area allows for some separation, if you want it, and the enclosed yard and deck allow your dog to wander on their own. Our only issue was with the black flies at the beach that bite and can cause welts for those with sensitive skin. The flies aren't deterred by clothing or bug spray. We were told that they only show up when the wind blows in a certain direction, but the beach was off-limits for us on most days.
