The home matched the photos and located at the end of a cul-de-sac. The area felt safe and was very quiet. The home itself offered a modern well stocked kitchen. The living room was a comfortable hang out spot, the couch was comfortable and the tv had loads of channels to choose from. The beds were wonderful and the bathrooms were clean and spacious. The backyard was lovely. Would definitely stay here again!

The property was very clean and charming. The deck in the back was a bit run down and the house backed to the freeway so a bit noisy but bonus was easy access to freeway. Definitely could use more bath towels. Only 1 TV. Would have enjoyed one in the master at least.

The house was very nice. The out door furniture needed to be updated. The chair cushions were old soiled appearing and very sun damaged. There wasn’t any directions on how to operate the jacuzzi.. the actual button panel,on the jacuzzi was broken and u was unable to use it. Aside from the fact that it didn’t look so clean. The BBQ had no direction and the one button on it was broken. You had to turn the gas on a then light it with a match, which can be very dangerous. The lighting outside was very dim and made it difficult to see especially if you were trying to BBQ. Overall the inside of the house was very nice. Outside needed some work.

We loved our stay! The house was very clean, well decorated, and we felt like it was a home away from home. The kitchen was well stocked for several meals we made, and the backyard area was perfect for relaxing. Our host was incredibly communicative for the questions we had.

Relaxing and peaceful

This is our 2nd time at this location. It is close to everything and yet very peaceful and spacious. Great indoor & outdoor spaces and has a jacuzzi!dowoutdoospaces

Overall the house was just right for us. The layout was great, and the kitchen was well stocked. We were concerned about the powder room and a smell that emitted after its first use so I reported it and we did not use it again. The master bedroom mattress was so comfortable it was difficult to get up each morning! The location was perfect for walking to our son’s home as well as to the shops! Some maintenance items that need some attention but nothing major are the trim around the front door, some boards on the back deck, doorknob on back door. Another set of bath towels would have been useful. Overall the house was 5 star and we look forward to staying here again!

Lovely stay in Kensington!

The house is a great home base for Kensington and was a good fit for our family of 5! The hosts were very responsive and went above and beyond and brought us new blankets when we didn’t see any. So appreciated!

My family was pretty cold the whole time. Loads of large windows without curtains to retain the warmth. Thermostat was difficult to figure out. Air coming out always felt like AC. Easy, convenient location, within walking distances to many cafes. The house was clean and spacious with 2 very nice outdoor spaces. Hot tub was nice.

House is great, location felt safe on the end of a cup-de-sac. The Kensington neighborhood north from the location is very luxurious, the first night we walked to a nice tap room and the area was very elegant. Going south leads you to a more run down area, but nothing too crazy. House does have a highway behind it, but couldn’t hear anything when inside, only when in the backyard using the hot tub. My group only had one car, so we were fine in the driveway, but otherwise the street parking is packed by neighbors. You could get a 2nd car in the driveway if needed. Check in code we were given didn’t work, and it took over 30 minutes before we were able to get a response to clear up the situation and get a new code. The last evening the same door lock had the batteries die with no warning locking us outside again. Fortunately the response time was much quicker this go round, and they had an emergency key box on site that they gave us access to. We didn’t hang around inside the house for too long during our trip, but the furniture in the living room wasn’t that comfortable. Trash cans outside were already full before we got there, so it made the requirement of emptying the trash upon exit a bit inconvenient.Overall though the house was very tidy, with basic amenities provided. Beds were firm and worked well for our group of 3 high school buddies - now middle aged guys - getting together for a little reunion. Would definitely consider this location again for a future visit.

Beautiful home!

We rented this home because it was near my friend’s house. It’s a great neighborhood- we walked to all the restaurants around there. Outdoor area is lovely. It was even nicer in person than the pictures! Loved it!

Perfect spot for college move in

This little retreat was a perfect home base for moving my daughter into her apartment at SDSU. It was close to campus and also very quiet and tranquil. The outdoor area is very nice for sipping coffee and planning the day. Lots of construction going on just across the road, but the noise wasn't too bad.

Home away from home

The house was as described. It was clean, well appointed, with all the comforts of home. Communication with the host was great. Whenever we had questions we texted them and they were very responsive. The neighborhood was quiet, with restaurants nearby and easy access to highways. We look forward to future stays there.
