This stylish, family friendly Capitol Hill rowhome will provide you with the quintessential DC experience. Originally built in 1914, this home has been fully remodeled with all the amenities you need to feel at home.

Great location, 1 block to Lincoln Park, near Capitol, Union Station and Eastern Market. Walkable to Barracks Row, H Street and the Fields at RFK. Great bike and walk scores! METRO nearby: Stadium-Armory, Potomac Ave, Eastern Market.

This is a whole-house rental, so you have exclusive access to the entire house and to the patio. There is a separate one-bedroom English basement beneath. It has a separate entrance as well as separate climate control and utilities. There are no shared spaces or communicating doors.

Great additional space for family reunion coming to see us in DC

Close by to my home in DC. Great extra accommodations for overflow family we could not put up in our home during our family reunion. Safe walking distance. Pizza restaurant on the corner is delicious

Fantastic place to stay!

We can't say enough about how happy we are to have secured this property for our week long trip to DC. The communication with the owners was always timely and very helpful. The location is extremely convenient: there are several quaint restaurants easily within walking distance (think 3-5 minute walk), the nearest grocery store (Safeway) is only a 10 minute walk, and getting to and from sightseeing in the city is anywhere from 15-30. The neighborhood is very well maintained and feels truly like a community (at all times of the day people are walking their dogs, pushing babies in strollers, exercising, bringing food home for dinner). It feels extremely safe to walk around and getting Ubers/Lyfts usually only takes 5 minutes. The property itself is well kept and looks just like what is advertised. It has all the modern amenities you'd want (washer/dryer, toaster oven, large fridge, microwave, coffee maker, juicer, mounted tv, AC, etc). We have stayed in a lot of VRBOs, and this one tops the list. We really enjoyed our stay at this property and would encourage anyone else to do the same :)

Truly a home away from home

We were in town for a few functions and lots of sightseeing with a 7 year old so this location was perfect. Great neighborhood! We walked to the Metro, the park and the grocery store. The house is an old- school Washington row home that's been tastefully and comfortably renovated. I grew up in DC so the style of house brought back lots of memories. Walking in the front door truly felt like we were coming home. The kitchen was spacious and fresh. The beds were great and the bathrooms were clean and attractive. The house has all the conveniences-washer and dryer, dishwasher, A/C and plenty of hot water. We loved the entire experience and would stay here again in a minute!

Great location and hosts!

We visited our daughter for Mother’s Day weekend and this place was perfect. Lots of walkable restaurants and parks nearby! Perfect kitchen/dining room table for playing card games, etc. Comfy beds but could have used a few more pillows. Enough room for us to spread out in this cozy home for a little nap time if needed. Wonderful kitchen with anything you need! Best of all, super responsive and kind hosts to the few questions/requests we had.

Delightful

This was a wonderful spot for our family to stay while celebrating our sons wedding nearby. Very homelike feel in a very safe neighborhood. We were too busy to explore much by walking around, but this is a nice place. There was some issue with VRBO not showing this as a trip in my account, but an email to the owners got a rapid response to clarify my questions. Highly recommended.

Family trip to DC

We had a great stay at this location. The property was well maintained and very cozy. Very close to local restaurants and grocery stores. Owners were a joy to work with and communicate very promptly to all questions. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone else.

Perfectly quaint town home

We had a great family vacation to DC and our stay at this VRBO made the trip that much better. Very clean, nicely decorated with all the amenities you’d need between kitchen, entertainment and bathroom. We had three young kids and the bedrooms for them were great. Grocery store a few blocks away and two great restaurants, one breakfast and one dinner away. I would book this again 1000%.

Family of 4 touring Capitol Hill

Perfect location for a family trip to DC. We parked our car out front and left it for the most part and rented Capital Bike Share every day and it worked perfectly. The house was clean and comfortable and safe and a great location to tour the area and see the tourist sites we wanted to visit. Highly recommend this great VRBO! Very nice and responsive hosts when I had questions.

Great location!

The property was in a great neighborhood. Home was comfortable and had everything we needed with the exception of Kleenex. Parking was easy with parking passes. Would stay here again. Only issue was that the steps and walkway to the sidewalk were not shoveled during or after the snowstorm so they became very icy and there was not any ice melt available to put on the steps or walkway.

Perfect House in Perfect Location

Our family of five (parents and three young adults) stayed here the first week in January and we couldn't have been more pleased. It's stylish and well appointed. The neighborhood is ideal for walking. We walked to local restaurants, coffee shops and the Eastern Market. Highly recommend.

Thanksgiving in DC

Compact, well appointed house. Felt like we were locals. The guidebook the host sent was a little out of date, but super helpful overall. Easy bike ride to National Mall and great restaurants and grocery shop nearby. We explored all of the sites and had an awesome visit!

Beautifully appointed house close to everything

This property is really beautifully designed and feels like you are staying at a very nice hotel with all of its upgrades, nice towels and very comfortable beds. We were visiting my brother who lives nearby and the house was perfect for the 5 of us. The kitchen is so well appointed and had everything you could need. The house was spacious for DC and has a nice front patio and back porch and small yard. It's also close to everything and we loved the cafe that was only two blocks away and the pizza restaurant that was just at the end of the street. We hope to be able to stay here again the next time we come to visit!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Great place to stay in DC

The host is very accomodating and communicates in timely manner. Check in and check out process is straightforward. The property itself is very clean, cozy and ideal for family stay. It has complete household supplies and appliances and could be considered your home away from home. It is at a great location and very accessible by metro bus (B2) and Silver, Yellow or Blue train at Stadium armory station. Neighborhood is nice and quiet and there's nearby restaurants.Trader's Joe is also reachable within few minutes by bus. Our stay was awesome and would love to book it again if it is available once we're back in Washington DC. A big thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us.

Enhance Your Stay/Vacation

We four were absolutely charmed by this vrbo. Everytime we reached for something, it had been provided! The decor is rather winsome and top notch clean! Our location provided some lovely walks and were not too far from the awesome Washington sites we wanted to visit. We had one tiny glitch which was fixed in a matter of hours -on a Sunday! Communication was immediate and the booklet a wonderful resource. We could not have been more pleased! Thank you!

Nice Neighborhood

No complaints whatsoever

Good communication with owner prior to stay. Unfortunately, I overlooked some of the info the owner provided regarding parking permits. Parking is scarce in DC and requires a parking permit even on residential streets. To me, DC traffic was a little too much, so I really didn't want to drive the huge Chevy Suburban I rented for my family. So we walked alot and used Uber and Metro Rail. The property was very nice. No complaints.

In the neighborhood you'll find The Cupboard, Hill Cafe, Wine + Butter, Manna, The Pretzel Bakery and more. Three METROs nearby: Stadium-Armory, Potomac Avenue, Eastern Market.

W/D and Dishwasher in unit. Wi-fi, Netflix and other streaming including. Parking pass for street parking can be provided and should be requested in advance.

Keyless entry, 2 separate front and back entrances. Please note there are stairs at each entrance.

Upstairs unit of 2 unit property. New ceilings have been installed between units and greatly reduces sound transmission, however, as is typical in older DC rowhouses, noise may still carry between units (upstairs or neighbors) as these row homes were built in 1914.
