Great place for a large group

Everything went amazing and without any difficulty whatsoever. The place is huge, very well equipped, and the manager is very responsive. We had a BLAST.

Such a nice property. We loved the large garage could fit 7 motorcycles in just fine. The hot tub was wonderful. Very nice views and the house was large and beautifully decorated. Large bedrooms and bathrooms. Would recommend

Great place to stay if you need the space and want to be able to spread out and relax. We ended up staying wirh only 7 people because part of our group didn't make it, but we'd definitely go stay there again! If I had the extra cash I'd be interested in buying this one because of the space and open layout. I wouldn't hesitate to book it!

We had an amazing stay at this home in the Black Hills! It was absolutely perfect for our group of 21, which included six families. The house was so thoughtfully laid out and everyone had their own room and bathroom, which made it comfortable and stress-free for all.The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials we needed to cook meals together, and we loved the added touches like games and fun extras for both kids and adults. It truly felt like a home away from home.We would absolutely love to come back and stay again with our family, and we highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a spacious, well-equipped, and welcoming retreat in the Black Hills!

Just WOW! Every one of us rated this VRBO a 10+. This is a newly built VRBO. Beautiful. The description was spot on. And having the use of the community clubhouse was frosting on the cake. The kiddos loved the pool! We just wished we could have stayed longer. Until next time…

Great for a large group!

This house was so beautiful! All the rooms had accommodations for multiple people making it a great place to rent if you have family and friends. The large kitchen and living room area was great to hang out with everyone at the same time. There was also an area for gaming with 2 tvs to watch all of the games! The kitchen is fully equipped with many different cooking tools plus 2 grills and a flat top on the deck. The outdoor space was so wonderful, yard games for added fun. The hot tub was an amazing feature as well. I will definitely be back! We didn’t get to the clubhouse but it is definitely on the list for next time!

Large, Well-Equipped Home Perfect for Big Family Gatherings

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 18 had an incredible stay at Overlook Trail Lodge. The home was spacious, spotless, and designed with large groups in mind. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware, serving items, and utensils, and flowed seamlessly into the living and dining areas. The oversized table made shared meals easy, and the open living great-room with TVs in all the right places throughout the house provided multiple perfect gathering spots.The outdoor areas were just as impressive, with two large BBQs, a Blackstone grill, and covered patios on multiple levels offering great views and plenty of seating. The spa and patios made for relaxing evenings, and there were games inside and out for both kids and adults. Parking was more than ample, even for a group with off-road vehicles.The layout gave everyone space—sometimes you had to go looking for people because the house was so large! Bedrooms, patios, and common areas were all thoughtfully arranged and stocked with perfect furniture, never cramped. The addition of a grocery-store style glass door fridge in the garage was a huge bonus, making it easy to store food and prepare meals for a big group. Multiple washers and dryers across levels added great convenience.The location was excellent for local activities, especially off-road adventures. Communication and access were seamless, and it was clear the hosts designed the property with large groups in mind.This home truly exceeded expectations and gave our family plenty of room to connect and enjoy our time together. Highly recommended for large families or groups looking for comfort, space, and great amenities.

We had a wonderful time while there. The refrigerator and freezer were huge! Loved having an ice machine as everyone could fill up water bottles and/or coolers before we left for the day. It was also a nice surprise that there was a washer and dryer on both floors. We had a couple minor concerns when we first checked in that probably reflected on the previous guests or cleaning crew but when we contacted the host they were dealt with right away. Beds were comfortable and towels were plentiful. Club house pools were a big hit with the kids. Very nice stay

My husband and I rented this home for a family vacation that included our 4 sons and their families. A total of 15 (10 adults & 5 children). The home was everything we hoped it would be. We enjoyed the large open area that included the living room, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area that accommodated our entire family. We went with the kids to use the community pool several times during the week & we used the hot tub & firepit at the residence. The location was very convenient for our sightseeing in Spearfish Canyon, Deadwood, Custer State Park and even Devil's Tower in Wyoming. I have rented over 45 homes over the past 20 years, and I have to say this was the nicest home of all. I would highly recommend renting this property. Buddi was also very easy to contact and he answered all of our questions promptly. For future renters we were able to order our groceries and have them delivered from the Walmart in Spearfish.

Overlook Trailhead Lodge Weekend Getaway

The large table and counter space made it easy to play games, share meals and have a buffet of food. The hot tub was great! The garage space was perfect for the kids to get their wiggles out. We put the beverage fridge to great use with our drinks and overflow of food. Much easier to grab drinks from that than wet coolers. The padded patio furniture was appreciated to snuggle, rock and rest in the fresh air! And the laundry access was wonderful to stay on top of towels! All of these amenities plus the fully stocked kitchen made it so easy to arrive and start relaxing! Thank you!
