Great deck right on the lake. Fire pit and chairs right on the lake. House was comfortable but all of our time was spent outdoors.

This was a perfect place to unwind from the network. Peaceful hideaway. The fire pit by the water was especially a bonus. Ray the host was very kind and helpful. Lovely place with so much to do there for relaxing or water fun. Thank you

As always, we enjoyed our stay at Morningside Cottage. The new boat motor was an added bonus. We hope to return next year for our fishing trip on Little Platte Lake.

Cozy and simple with amazing view

My friend and I stayed here. Loved the location to different hikes and ski resorts. Would stay here again.

Great setting and view

We enjoyed our week's visit to Morningside Cottage. Beautiful location and views of the lake. Especially enjoyed the large deck and firepit down by the lake.

The sleeping bear dunes were our favorite

This was a beautiful cabin by the lake. We enjoyed having breakfast on the deck and watching the morning sunrise.

The view was amazing!!!! So, relaxing!!!! Kitchen had more than enough for cooking and serving food. Ray was so helpful with making sure we enjoyed the area.

Lovely setting

A nice cabin on a beautiful peaceful lake. Lake Michigan just a few miles for day trips and sunsets. Sleeping bear dunes and wine country. We had a wonderful stay.

Morningside Cottage is just wonderful. Our host, Ray, made sure we had everything we needed and spent a nice amount of time getting to know us and pointing out great places in the area to visit. The cottage is very clean and well appointed. I highly recommend this rental for those who want to explore the “Northwoods” of the beautiful state of Michigan.

Great cabin on the lake

Nice house with plenty of space and a beautiful deck overlooking the lake. Great kayaking and wildlife watching on the lake. Only a few minutes to Sleeping Bear and Glen Arbor. The owner is great & has lots of good local tips!

The house is beautiful with an awesome deck that has an amazing view of little Platte lake. The house is spacious and can accommodate few to many comfortably. Ray is an exceptional host great communication from booking through checkout. 5 stars all around. We will be back again

Annual Fishing Trip

House was great. Record breaking heat was intense but the basement was a cool 70 degrees- perfect for relaxing after a day on the lake. This was the first time we used the fire pit and we loved it. Next year we will definitely plan to cook a couple meals on it.

NW Michigan in the Fall

A wonderful cottage perfect for the two of us! Comfortable and cozy and very welcoming! Owner was the highlight, spending time mapping out points of interest he thought we would enjoy and did we ever enjoy! Sitting on the deck overlooking Little Platte Lake watching the trumpeter swans was a bonus! We can’t wait to return to Morningside Cottage in the future!

Great Cottage in Beautiful Natural Setting

Ray's cottage is an awesome traditional cottage. Cottage is clean and very well maintained. The stone fireplace and deck views were amazing. Cottage sits on a very nice large wood lot. Loved listening to the Loons in morning and evening. Excellent fishing lake, caught several good size large mouth bass and a few smallies. Great location and area to see all the local beautiful beaches, lakes and towns. I definitely recommend and want to return soon. Great place Ray!

Sweet Isolation

Just close enough to local establishments to scratch the wanderlust itch yet remote enough to loose yourself in nature. Ray’s little Morningside Cottage was a quaint and accurately described place to stay. Reasonably priced and super clean it met the needs of our small group for a place to lay our heads, shower, and leave the city behind. As mentioned in other reviews the cottage is somewhat dated, however it has all the basics and was very clean and tidy. You won’t find a better place to stay in this county for the price!
