The first impression of this large 5000 s.f. mid century home designed by renown architect Richard Dodd, is it's openness, large ceilings, and the amazing panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Channel islands, the Clark Bird Refuge and famous Huguette Clark Estate, the SB Zoo, downtown Santa Barbara, and its harbor too, all while retaining total privacy.

This home was completely remodeled and upgraded with the finest amenities and furnishings making it ideal for that modern but casual indoor/outdoor California lifestyle.

This home features a large pool, decks and grounds with beautiful mountain and ocean views, 3 Large bedrooms all with king size beds and massive ocean views, 4 Fireplaces, 4 baths which are finished with mahogany cabinets, marble & mosaic stone. Including a separate home office.
All bedrooms & almost every room in the home have amazing views of the Montecito Country Club, the Pacific Ocean, Channel Islands, Santa Barbara and it's coastline all the way to Ventura.

The master suite includes a private living area/den with a wet bar, fireplace and flat screen TV, and a private patio, wonderful for getting away from it all, but also a great place for small children to sleep close to Mom & Dad.

State of the art entertainment systems are though out the home and Pool area.

The lower level includes a seperate living area/den with fireplace, sofa bed, flat screen TV, sound system, full bath with jacuzzi tub and a large view bedroom with flat screen TV. All on the pool level making ideal for a kids hang out.

The gourmet kitchen hosts sleek stainless steel appliances, a center island with gas cook top and a dining counter for 4. The adjacent dining room has seating for 6, enjoy the protected outdoor patio off the kitchen with a three tiered cascading stone waterfall, a large stainless steel gas BBQ, a teak dining table for 6 and separate conversation area with seating for 4.

Centrally located and a 5 minutes drive to either the upper or lower Villages of Montecito both with unique restaurants and chic shopping, Butterfly beach and the Four Season Hotel and Spa, and the Coral Casino. The SB Zoo, downtown Santa Barbara and harbor are all within a 10 minute or less drive.

Pool heating is included June 1st through Sept 31th. The pool is heated to 82 degrees. The fee to heat the pool balance of the year is $250.00 for 7 night or less.

Amazing Stay

Our family had an amazing stay at the Montecito Mid Century Estate property. The home was exactly as listed, very clean and had the most amazing views. We will definitely stay here again, next time we are in the area.

Great house, Great view, Great location

Everything was easy, location was great. Spent time on the back decks enjoying the views. Loved the layout of the house and all the unique gathering areas. Vintage style took me back in time in a good way.

Amazing house and hospitality

We had a chance to stay at the house for a week, and would have loved to stay longer! Ample space, fantastic views and the pool was ideal for the kids. Tons of outdoor entertaining space as well. Would absolutely return again! Also, our hosts were exceedingly gracious and welcoming - one of the best experiences we’ve had.

Fabulous home & location

This home was exactly as described and a perfect getaway while visiting family. Many homes you rent feel sterile - not this one. You feel right at home immediately. And the view…it was amazing, as was the owner’s communication. We look forward to returning again.

Spectacular Getaway!

Our stay in Montecito was spectacular. The property was expansive so that two very active small grandkids and four adults could all partake in their preferred activity without negatively impacting others. The pool was great for an afternoon swim after sightseeing or beach time. The views were amazing during the day and also at night when relaxing by the firepit. It was all we wanted and more.....and would certainly like to come back.

Paradise

Our family had the most wonderful 3 night getaway in this stylish and comfortable home. It is spacious, private and beautifully designed with multiple gorgeous outdoor spaces and a great pool. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the bathrooms and kitchen were modern and well appointed. Vanna was responsive and a great communicator and has thought of everything one would want and need on a vacation. Highly recommend!

Montecito paradise

I cannot say enough about this property and its location. The floor to ceiling windows in all rooms mean you are captivated by the stunning views of the Pacific which are only bettered when you go on to the beautiful decking area. The house feels like home as soon as you enter and is without doubt the best equipped house I have rented. Vonna the owner was a joy to deal with and I would not hesitate in recomending this property to anyone that planned to visit this area.

Amazing Home + Outstanding Ocean Views

We were in SB for our daughters wedding and needed a place for the immediate family (3 couples) as well as open space for the bride and bridemaids to get ready all morning the day of the wedding. This place was absolutely perfect! 3 bedrooms each with their own bath. Huge kitchen / dining area / living room open space with ceiling to floor windows over looking the SB coastline. Everyone wants to come back, even the extended family members that stopped by throughout our stay. 5 Stars all the way.

Montecito Mid Century Estate

Exceptional says it all. Spectacular 180 degree view of the ocean, pool, well appointed kitchen and decorated beautifully. Family came with grand kids, layout of house was perfect with a suite bedroom, master bedroom and spacious bedroom for our family. Vonna, our host was terrific, communication was accurate, quick and cordial. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Wonderful time to spend with family and friends in celebrating my son's PHD celebration at UCSB.

Stunning Views, Cozy Home

My group and I enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. There were endless places to relax, have me-time, meditate, etc. The fountain and firepit make for a beautiful night outside. The views were gorgeous and plenty of space to relax outside as well. The home had pretty much all we needed for prepping meals and even a nice surround sound system for music and entertaining. The layout and design of the home are aesthetically pleasing. The neighborhood is nice and very peaceful. The location is close to the freeway and plenty of shops and restaurants. I would recommend for family or friends getaway. It is definitely a peaceful retreat!

The Perfect Place

My husband and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary in Montecito and Vonna's lovely home made it a very special occasion. Our adult kids joined us for the first week; we had the second week alone. The view of the Pacific O is beautiful, from the home, the decks with fire pit, and the pool. The back garden has a waterfall, grill, table and chairs and yet another fire pit. It is the most well equipped and well appointed home we have ever rented, anywhere. The area is lovely with many activities to participate in and Vonna was very attentive to our requests and needs. We are planning our return trip!

Beautiful home that was fully stocked but could use some attention.

The home had lovely common and sitting areas, a great kitchen and the view was spectacular. There were a few areas that needed some attention. There were multiple lights that needed bulbs both inside and out, the pool can use a refresh painting and several sockets did not work. The house does not have air conditioning and we happened to hit a warmer than usual week but it did have fans to help. Overall though, this was a beautiful, clean home that allowed us the opportunity to enjoy time with friends. It is in a great location close to restaurants and shops and the owner was so nice and easy to work with.

One word: Fantastic

This was our first trip to California as a family from the east coast. We'd asked nearly everyone we knew from CA where to visit and unanimously everyone said go to Santa Barbara. We have young adult children (24,18 and 18) so finding someplace that everyone will like is always challenging. This place was it. I can go on and on abut Santa Barbara as it was well worth the visit but the best part about it was THIS HOUSE. Here it is in a nutshell: First of all - it is huge. There were 5 of us but it always felt like you had so much space both inside and out. The outside garden is truly amazing. There are 5 different places you can sit outside to drink coffee. You couldn't see any of the neighboring gardens - SUPER PRIVATE. The kitchen, living room, bedrooms, bathrooms (best shower ever) all had everything you needed and then some. Everything made you feel like you were staying in a castle. I guess the best way to put it is that it was EASY to stay here. Everything is more fun when it is easy. If you've made it this far - here are the 2 BEST things about it: 1. The location. You are 5 minutes from downtown Montecito and 8 minutes to Santa Barbara meaning you had enough space to separate from both of those areas, but you could be there in an instant. I would NOT recommend staying somewhere where you could "walk to the beach" - just too busy and crowded for us. Here - you don't have that as the neighborhood is super cool and in the perfect place. 2. The owners - we were fortunate to meet the owner who also manages the property. She gave us all kinds of great info on what to do, where to go, where not to go, and also some background on her fascinating house. She made us truly feel at home. Bottom line - if you are visiting from anywhere - stay in this house - it's fantastic and you won't regret it. John D. Massachusetts

Incredible Santa Barbara / Montecito Escape!

So, just imagine. You’re driving up to Santa Barbara from LAX, full of anticipation and so excited to see the town and surrounding area for the first time, and to see this home that looked so beautiful from the photos online. You exit the highway, start weaving your way up the mountain... with the neighborhood revealing gorgeous homes and peaks of the ocean. You then arrive at the entrance/driveway to the house and look out over an incredible ocean view expanse (that includes a golf course!) that will be your vista for the next few days/week. You park, jump out of your car, enter the home to an incredibly well appointed and comfortable interior... with just the right balance of luxury and relaxation setting. The great room, overlooking the back patio and pool area... and ofcourse the ocean is stunning. The kitchen is delightful, equipped with everything you could possibly need... including a very cool coffee bar. Immediately off of the kitchen is a beautiful patio area with a soothing waterfall, pretty plants/vegetation... like you’re in a private garden oasis. The outdoor living area overlooking the ocean... nice pool with comfy chaise lounges and a cool built in sun bathing deck, multi-level, multiple sitting areas, a fire pit, heating lamp, ping pong table, etc.. We hung out there a ton during our stay. The house has a very cool dual master sweet set up on opposite sides of the house... so perfect for couples/families that want some privacy at times. The main master sweet has a very well appointed bathroom and massage-like shower with multiple heads. All bedrooms have views of the Pacific! So that’s the house. In terms of location, tough to imagine a better spot. Nestled up on the hill, but literally a few mins from Montecito Village, and about 10-12 mins to the ocean front and pier. Marina, boating, watersports, chilling on the beach, etc all right there. Shopping, restaurants, bars on State Street also 12 mins away. If you’re into wine tasting, the St. Ynez region only a 35-40 mins drive away (beautiful, through the mountains), so very mellow. Los Olivos is a wine tasting haven! There’s also great hiking and walking virtually at your doorstep. Also played two great golf courses! Finally, the property owner was amazing! Responsive, attentive, super honest, and totally focused on you having a great time. This is easily one of the very best rental experiences we’ve ever had... and we’ll return... again and again!

The house was beautiful, multiple seating areas outside with plenty of shade, and 2 fire pits (altho we didn't use them). It is well-maintained. I was impressed with the fact that it was well-stocked as opposed to other places we have stayed. My daughter has to be completely gluten-free, and we had options for 2 other besides the main one so we were able to avoid any contamination. The property manager, Vonna, was easily reachable and very responsive. Unfortunately, the pool wasn't usable, issues with the heater, and although she tried to have it fixed while we were there, we maybe had one day, altho it didn't seem to maintain the temperature. I would suggest that perhaps they should consider replacing the mattresses, they're ok but somewhat worn. Santa Barbara was easily accessible, we had a great time. We would absolutely return as it was very comfortable.

Jetliner Views in a Mid-Century Gem-box

Stayed here with a group of longtime friends for a getaway in Santa Barbara. The house had plenty of space for all 6 of us, is well provisioned and equipped - but the jewel in this crown is the humongous deck with killer views. We will hopefully be back.
