Charming country retreat. Minutes away from the beach! A perfect getaway!
The house is set behind a long tree lined driveway giving the property maximum privacy and security.
The house sleeps 10 comfortably. Three large sized bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms. The Primary bedroom is locted off of the main area with a bathroom that has a skylighted dual shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed amd a full futon, also a powder room. The third bedroom is on the ground floor level with two full beds and a seperate bathroom.
The main area of house is an open plan layout, with a wall of sliding glass doors affording views of nature from every point of the house.
The property is wrapped by a Nature Preserve (Clinton Land Trust Preservation) for solidarity and quiet. The trail can be picked up from the driveway. A large deck off of the main living area is a private retreat to the natural habitat, with a view of a small pond, and sounds of the crickets and birds.
This is the perfect location for family gatherings around holidays, summer vacation, college graduations or for visiting professors' families. Yale University, Connecticut College and Wesleyan University are all under 30 miles away.
The house is ten minutes away from Hammonasset State Beach, ten minutes away from a Clinton Premium Outlet Mall and ten minutes away from downtown Clinton. Also close to New Haven where there are many restaurants, ie Little Italy, Yale and art galleries. A 30 minute drive to Powder Ridge Mountain Park and Resort and Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods Resort Casinos.
Enjoy swimming, skiing, apple picking, kayaking, hiking trails, and many excellent restaurants and wineries in the area.

Serene Oasis
This property was exceptional. It’s a peaceful oasis in the woods while being convenient to local attractions. The hosts made it very comfortable and inviting. Plenty of room for 2 couples or family of 6. Would highly recommend.

I highly recommend this property. We were a family of six adults, a 4-yr-old, 16-month-old and a 6-month-old. The home was spacious, including the bedrooms that each “sub family” occupied. The house is well equipped—the host thought of everything we could possibly need to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. It was truly a home away from home! I appreciated the extra no-shoes-in-the-house rule—just another plus to this immaculately well-kept, clean home. The only extra I might recommend is a baby gate for the stairs to the basement and to put away any breakables, valuables or keepsakes to keep children from being tempted to touch, grab or play with them. Thank you to the host for providing one of the, if not the most comfortable vacation rental properties to date!

This charming retreat was calm , peaceful and perfect for our family of 8. It was the most well stocked short term rental we have ever stayed. Everything but a few groceries were there for us. Cathy was a fantastic host. She responded almost instantly when I asked a question. Thank you

Lovely site. Very calm and Peaceful, Pleasant babbling brook sounds. Enjoyed the hiking trails right behind the house. The house was well equipped with everything needed: salt, poncho, toilet paper, bandages, etc. No need to run out. Totally prepared kitchen with plates, pots, tools. Everything needed was there. Simple check-in. Cathy is very easy to work with.

Off the road in a quiet wooded grove, the property met all our family needs and was just a short drive from conveniences. Our hosts were responsive to our inquiries and generous with an earlier checkin!
