This charming retreat boasts ample space for large gatherings, featuring 8 bedrooms and cozy living areas where memories are waiting to be made. Whether you're unwinding indoors or exploring the beauty of the Upper Peninsula, this property offers the perfect blend of comfort and adventure.

Situated just minutes from the lake shore, outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate easy access to riding trails, hiking, rock hunting, and so much more! The barndominium was perfect for our family. The communal room with shuffleboard, dart board, basketball hoop, game collection, comfortable seating, television, etc. was awesome. We loved our stay.

Very accommodating. House was clean with lots of activities for the kids to play with. It was close by to the beach, where the kids can bicycle to. Very spacious that can easily fit 25-30 people. Plenty of beds, bathrooms & laundry rooms

Our family of 17 (12 adults, 5 children) had a great stay here in August 2026. Plenty of room and things to do for everyone. Location is great - being so close to Grand Marais, very easy to pop into town or to the beach, which had great rock hunting. The place could use a few updates in general (couches were definitely dated, upstairs bathtub doesn't really fill well, etc) but overall was very clean and we would stay here again.

Amazing place. Stayed with a group of 12 and everyone had their own bed and never got bored of things to do. Basketball, hot tub, card table, outdoor stuff nearby. Highly recommended

A wonderful place for large or small group. The open barn space have plenty of room for everyone to play and do their own thing while still being together. We had great weather but if it had been rainy it would’ve still been a great place to hang out with all the indoor activities. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms as well so you could escape if needed. Very well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Two laundry rooms helped keep up with that task as well.We walked to the beach but then called for a ride back- it’s about 25 min downhill- so more of a drive to town. Our first time to Michigan and we loved it!Would highly recommend this location!

Our family had a fantastic visit to Grand Marais and surrounding areas. There was so much to do within a relatively short driving distance from the VRBO. The scenery in the UP is spectacular. The Barndominium, “Copper Top” suited our family perfectly! We had 19 family members including adults and children. The accommodations were simple but perfect for our needs. The owners have made sure that there was enough cutlery, cooking items, linen and essentials. The accommodations were very clean. Our group was large so having the drink coolers, large refrigerator, extra freezer, black stone, dishwasher, and 2 washers/dryers were extremely helpful. Copper Top was well maintained and comfortable. We loved our stay in the UP. Thank you Brent Pevey and other owners of Copper Top!

The Best!!!

This place is legit!!! Totally what we wanted and needed. Super fun place to stay in a great remote part of the UP. We had so much fun and will definitely stay again if we make it up this way again.

Great home for our family!

Campfires to sit around, cook s'mores & generally relax. This was the starting point for our sight seeing and it was wonderful. Sable falls beautiful

Great property

Our 3 generation family had a great time here! Different, fun experience from most places we’ve rented - kiddos loved the bounce house, BB goal, toys and games and adults enjoyed all the space and bedrooms! No problem getting a quick response with any questions we had! We’d definitely stay here again!

A Time to be together

The property and facilities were beautiful. We went to Grand Marais to bury my husband by his family. Copper Top allowed us a place to gather our family and just be a family.

What an awesome place and hosts !

Went on our annual fishing trip to the UP. The place is amazing and the hosts are top notch. This place has everything you could want and more. We can’t wait to come back. Best VRBO we have ever stayed at. Wish I could give it more stars because they deserve it.

Everything we had hoped for and more

Great concept, great location! We were up there with friends to ride and check out the fall colors, there was a lot to do at the property when we came back in the evenings so we were able to relax and have a great time even when we weren't out exploring! 10 out of 10

Extended Family Vacation

This place was perfectly located for our trip! Short drive to local attractions and very very short drive to more than one local beach in case we didn’t feel like venturing out very far for the day! As described and we loved using the grill to cook so we had minimal dishes. The space is very well laid out for multiple families or big groups. Would love to visit again. Thanks!!
