This quaint, turn of the century home is walking distance from downtown Colorado Springs & Memorial Park (Prospect Lake), less than a mile from the Olympic training center, & Penrose/Memorial Hospital & roughly 15 minutes from Fort Carson, the airport & the Airforce Academy. With all the architectural charms of it's 1901 age, and the updates necessary to make this abode truly comfortable, it's a perfect home away from home. The adorable decor and functional amenities make this a great find.

Nice hot tub and walking distance to pretty park with great views. Coffee pods plentiful which is always a fantastic bonus.

Was easy to access the house. Everything was cleaned and up kept. The hot tub was ready and clean. Over all a very wonderful stay

Elopement Trip

We spent 5 nights at the Blue Bungalow Downtown for our elopement. Everything was wonderful! We had plenty of room and were very comfortable throughout our stay. The bed is comfy and the kitchen is well equipped. The hot tub made for a great ending each day! We will definitely book the Blue Bungalow for any future trips to Colorado Springs.

The home was well decorated and for the most part clean. The rug near the hot tub was covered in leaves when we arrived. The hot tub appeared to be clean as well. The host let our pet come and they loved the backyard!! Prior to booking the host did take awhile to answer but communication improved after we booked! We didn’t use it but they had a coffee bar and ice trays ready.The porch swing was slightly loose as well so we didn’t feel super comfortable sitting on it lol. Overall the house was very cute and gave some southern charm and in a good area where most things are 5-20 minutes away. I will say if you are bigger than mid size or tall you will not fit very will in the bed or bedrooms as they are slightly cramped.

Nice stay!

We stayed for two evenings, and the Blue Bungalow met our needs. We brought pizza and snacks in, and the kitchen worked well. We played games, and seating was limited’ish, but it worked. We didn’t receive check in directions until a couple hours prior to arrival, and we didn't get check out details at all (I sought that info out, to be sure we completed the check out process and were not additionally charged).

Cozy spot

Our considerate host had the walk shovelled and warm lighting to greet us when we arrived. The home is decorated in what I’d call a shabby chic aesthetic, very cute. Loads of blankets and pillows and enough towels for showers and hot tubbing each day. It is very close to downtown & was the perfect location for us. Thank you Stephanie!

A bag of trash was on the sink when we arrived. The entire house smelled like cat urine and cat fur was evident. My son is allergic and had physical issues as a result. Hot tub smells weird.Back yard was nice.

Nice but not comfortable

House is decorated very cute but the bed is older and not comfortable. Not sure how this rental sleeps 5. There is a full bed in bedroom 1 which was the uncomfortable one, twin bed in bedroom 2 that appeared to be a trundle but the bottom would not pull out. Water pressure was terrible in the shower. Jacuzzi tub in the back yard was the best part of our trip.

Unclean

Dirty floors; cat urine odor in back bedroom; broken kitchen faucet; outdoor area filthy; unsure of chlorine level in hot tub; exterior was was scattered with fallen branches. When I reached out to host only said she would talk to her cleaning staff.
Broken light bulb socket, and plugged in.
Full garbage can outside that smelled like dog feces.
Outdoor area unkept.
Cloudy water in hot tub

Blue Bungalow

We received the check in instructions the day before we arrived, since we were already on the road it was not real easy to access these. The host contacted us that the cleaning people were still working, so it was after 5 pm before we could get into the house. I contacted the host because there was no soap for the dishwasher and no dish towels or hot pads only to be told that the cleaners forgot to supply them. I also contacted the host on a maintence issue, but it was glossed over. No washer and dryer in the house and the beds were only doubles. This location was close to pikes peak, garden of the gods and a lot of other attractions.

Too many issues

Booked for a week. Quiet spot but if pets are allowed it should be properly cleaned between guests. My husband and I spent 3 hours cleaning up dog hair after waiting to check in. Cupcakes were left but we had to keep the vacuum out all week due to all the animal hair. Only one roll of TP, dishwasher but no soap, dog poop in the back yard, dirty dishes in the cupboards and dangerous, slippery tub with no mat. Host didn't know how to edit check in date and wanted money to be left under door mat. Unprofessional, unclean, harassed us on the night before check out saying that another guest was arriving. Books on Airbnb as well and doesn't keep track of her reservations.

This neighborhood is so quaint and overlooks downtown Colorado Springs (walking distance) set to the epic backdrop of the Rockies, notably Pikes Peak, front and center. If you look for it, you can even see Garden of the Gods from the front porch, and Memorial Park and Prospect Lake are a short 3 block walk away.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

It was built in 1904 and has all the charms of the turn of the century, but with tasteful 21st century updates. It is a fabulous little place.
