Gem of a place nestled high above Estes Park. At night the twinkling of Estes Park lights gives a magical setting to the night sky. 8 minutes from Rocky Mountain Park. You just found your next VRBO!

This cabin was absolutely gorgeous!! The cabin was well stocked with kitchen supplies. Beautiful views!!! Plenty of towels and washcloths. The few things we needed fixed (batteries in smoke alarms) were fixed within an hour or so from contacting the host! She was extremely helpful and easy to get in contact with! The cabin was VERY clean. In fact, it was probably the cleanest please we’ve stayed through VRBO. We will definitely stay here again, if we get a chance. One item was that was an inconvenience was , it is not handicap accessible. All in all it was a great stay!!!

Wonderful home. Super clean. Spacious - views were great. Love all the outdoor seating. Great location - you feel like you’re up in the mountains but you’re still very close to everything. Kids loved all the chipmunks and deer around property. 10/10 - really great!

Amazing Stay!!

We rented the Monticello cabin with our adult children and in-laws who were visiting from Germany. The cabin was spectacular!! The accommodations were top-notch and the views were spectacular. We felt secluded, yet were able to get to town and the park to explore in minutes. We will definitely be going back and highly recommend Monticello for your families next special getaway...

Wish we could have been there longer

Very, very, nice place. Very close to town, far enough to be out of the way and high enough to enjoy the scenery below. Everything inside the home was nice and well maintained. Lots of room inside and sitting outside overlooking the mountains was fantastic.

Beautiful cabin

7 of us came for our daughter to get married in Estes Park. The cabin was beautiful. We loved it! We had mule deer and chipmunks daily. No washer/dryer which probably would have made it perfect though.

Ideal getaway

Beautiful home, lots of amenities, perfect for grandparents and small grandchildren. So quiet and peaceful and very convenient to Estes and RMNP. We loved every minute. The only downside is the queen bed instead of a king in the Master bedroom.

Mountain Log Home Gem!

This log home was designed for comfort and relaxation! It is a gem in the area and served as a wonderful home base during our trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. The home is private and surrounded by trees and nature on it's three acre property on Prospect Mountain! Our family already looks forward to our next stay at this location!

Great Place for multiple couples

Weekend reunion with 2 other couples. Great place for that. Plenty of room, great kitchen to cook in, the outside areas were fabulous. Spent the mornings watching the sun come up and rocking in the chairs with the evenings by the fire pit drinking wine and enjoying each others company.

Beautiful dream log cabin

Our family with three adults and two teenagers enjoyed staying at this picture perfect spacious quality log cabin secluded in trees high overlooking Lake Estes. The cabin is spectacular and the outer deck allowed us to enjoy deer and chipmunks in the area We just needed better directions for finding the cabin the first time since GSP was not helpful. . We would stay there again.

Thank you for the review - yes the GPS - is weird - you have to pull over and have it recalibrate then it will take you to the correct place. We are so happy you enjoyed your family time. We'd love to host you all again.

Absolutely wonderful cabin. The view and amenities were outstanding, especially the front porch and the fire pit. We were a little concerned about the cabin not having air but it really was never a big issue, especially as the night came on. We did miss not having a washer and dryer, but still loved the unit.

Great place in Estes Park

Staying with multiple family members for my daughter’s wedding in the park. The place was fantastic and I’d definitely stay there again. 8 of us all together and we had plenty of space. The wrap around deck was great for an evening cocktail as was the fire pit. We were there during a heat snap but the place was still perfectly comfortable. Didn’t even break out the fans. Perfect place for a group of 8.

Fantastic location and beautiful property

We stayed at this property with our party of 8, ages 1 through 70s. I can’t say enough good things about it, honestly. Though definitely off the beaten path, we loved the location and it was easy to find once we arrived the first time. The property was very well-maintained, stocked with the basics, and though only 8-10 minutes from downtown Estes Park, felt like it was a miles away from civilization. We are hoping to plan a return trip in the future. Highly recommended!

Second visit/stay here at Mounticello. Family loved it so much the first time, we came back exactly a year later. It is truly the coziest. The sunrise and sunset views are incredible. Wildlife (birds, chipmunks, deer, squirrels) were right at our doorstep. It was a 9.8/10 for us ONLY because we were informed during our follow-up check-in call that the fireplace was not working, which was so sad. We loved the fireplace last year, especially when it got cool at night- helped create that cozy ambience. But round up and our stay was still a 10/10. Would highly recommend.
