Highlights

This is no ordinary beachfront home. The owners have thought of everything a large group might want and need in a vacation home, and we mean everything. The home offers a secluded beachfront location so you can escape the crowds, yet you are still close to town. Swim, sunbathe or fish from the beach and enjoy the convenience of being just steps away from the home.

This newly renovated beach house, as seen on HGTV's Beach Hunters, is located on the sandy white beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama. Almost Heaven is a spacious single-story, Gulf-front house featuring granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, equipped with double sinks, refrigerators, stoves, microwaves, dishwashers and washer/dryers - plus addition seating for dining or playing games! There is also a separate kitchenette.

Challenge your loved ones to some friendly competition with a game of Ping-Pong. Walk out onto the large deck overlooking the Gulf of Mexico and enjoy the sunrise and beautiful views with your morning cup of coffee. You can even spot dolphins from this wonderful vantage point! After your coffee, throw on your bathing suits and head out the back door and spend the day relaxing on the beach!

Almost Heaven is located five miles down West Beach Blvd, close to many great restaurants, local shops, and activities for all ages! The Hangout, home to the annual Hangout Music Festival, is just 5.3 miles away. Take a day to explore the Alabama Gulf State Park, only six and a half miles away, with various trails, fishing, kayak rentals, and bicycle paths.

Additional amenities include an electric vehicle charger, built-in charcoal grill, enclosed storage for beach gear, an outdoor shower, and fish-gleaning station. Whether you are enjoying some fun in the sun at the house or exploring Gulf Shores, you are sure to enjoy yourself!

Christmas 2024

This house was perfect for our large family. The kitchen had 2 refrigerators, 2 ovens, 2 microwaves, 2 dishwashers and 2 sinks with garbage disposals. The dining room table was also doubled sized. Plenty of room on the decks to enjoy the ocean view. 2 family rooms. Plenty of parking for multiple cars. The management company was very responsive and accommodating.

Rating Details: The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was beautiful and plenty spacious for everyone to be comfortable. The only issue we had was the heat was not working in the main living space; we contacted the property manager, and they sent someone out, but they never really got it fixed so we bought space heaters to keep warm. Other than that, everything was great. Would recommend and stay there again as long as the heat is working this time of the year.

Huge house - great location and view

Pros: LOTS of space, bedrooms-bathrooms-shared areas. Beautiful views of the gulf water and beach. At this time of year (November), it was very quiet, with just a few people walking the beach. Weather was ideal - 70s and sunny except for one stormy day. Spent time most days on the porch reading, playing games, talking and just listening to the waves. Lots of sea birds, and saw dolphins a couple of times. Wide variety of shells discovered on long walks on the beach. Visibility to both sunrise AND sunset! Cons: As mentioned by someone else, for older people, a ramp or boardwalk across the sand dunes would be very helpful. The sand dunes right in front of the porch block the beach view to some extent. One of the bathrooms could use a shower liner replacement. Would have liked screens on more of the patio doors.

Perfect quiet Getaway

This beach house was absolutely perfect! The layout was fabulous! The huge double stocked appliances in the kitchen was very functional! We had some adults that had to work remote and the kitchenette on the opposite end of the house was quite office for several to work at with the high speed internet!!!! Would definitely book again!

Great stay at Almost Heaven!

Stayed at Almost Heaven for a week with friends and family late May 2024. There was a lot of space, with tons of beds for all guests. Kitchen was fabulous, equipped with two of EVERYTHING - sinks, stoves, microwaves, fridges, plus another full-sized fridge in a second living room and a mini-fridge and wine fridge in the bar. Ping-pong! Games! Outdoor shower! EV charger! It has it all!

Favorite family vacation home!!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love almost heaven this was our second year and have already booked for 2025. The house has 6 bedrooms (one is a bunk room). All with their own baths. The back porch is our favorite. We brought two baby gates to close off the stairs and our 2 and 4 year olds had free reign. WYou are close enough to the beach to enjoy it even if you don't get in the sand. We had our 3 grown children and their families and their families and there is plenty of room!!!!

Almost Heaven? More like Heaven!

The property was amazing! Perfect location. Close enough to town but not so close to be bothered. The house was absolutely beautiful and it perfectly accommodated my group of family and friends. Honestly, it's named "Almost Heaven" but as a rental vacation home.....it IS heaven.

Loved it!

Excellent!! Relaxing!!!

We housed the groomsmen for our sons wedding and this house was perfect they boys loved the beach access! We had our rehearsal dinner here and everybody enjoyed the deck area and listening to the waves on the beach they didn’t want to leave they were so relaxed. Having 2 ovens and the large double fridge freezer in the main kitchen was a major hit!!!! Suggestion if you plan on staying at this property. Pack dish towels, dishwasher soap and paper towels. You will have everything else you need provided!

Gorgeous Gulf Getaway

We absolutely loved our stay at Almost Heaven! There were 14 of us and we had room to spare. The house was very clean and comfortable. There was PLENTY of space for us to eat and hang out, particularly on the huge beachside deck. There was tons of space for tinies, teens and adults. The location is amazing; literally steps from the water. The beach is beautiful and felt as if it was our own private, secluded getaway. The home is far enough away from the city, but close enough to get to restaurants and stores by car. The two of everything kitchen was incredible. There was plenty of storage, room to cook, and seating for us to eat (inside and outside). Multiple washers/dryers made reluctant packing easy. The bedrooms were great for our group to be together, but have some privacy. We cannot wait to stay here again!
