Newly listed toVRBO this 121-year-old cottage is nestled in the town of Cascade, close to Pikes Peak and Santa's North Pole, Cliff Dwellings, Cave of the Winds, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.
The mountain stream across the street, hiking trails, and waterfall make this an exciting getaway for vacations, anniversary, and honeymoons.

The Ramona cottage has a large moss stone fireplace, Streaming, TV, DVD and VCR movies in the great room. The master bedroom has a king size bed, the master bath has a claw foot tub, full service bath with dressing room. The sunny front bedroom has two queen beds. The dining room has a large window to view the mountains and a full kitchen with all the extras. Private hot tub you can almost reach up and touch the stars...Great for a romantic getaway or family vacations, girls getaway, anniversary or birthday celebrations.

Private, cozy and clean cottage. It had a great location to enjoy restaurants and exploration but also secluded enough to relax at the end of the day with your honey. Hot tub was amazing as was the fireplace.

A great place to get away from the city. Cozy and a great location. We spent two nights here. The master bed was super comfortable and the porch was a great place to relax. Communication with the owner was excellent. Overall a wonderful stay.

Exactly as advertised. Fantastic, cozy and charming cottage with a gracious and responsive host. Highly recommended, but bring your coffee /breakfast supplies because it's a few miles from town.

We enjoyed this cute little town that had a small park a short walk away for the kids to play at. We loved walking around and exploring the creek. The property was conveniently located between mountain towns that allowed us to drive either direction for food or attractions. We even got to see a deer and a bear from the front porch!

Really cute cottage. Very clean. No light on the front porch so it was hard to enjoy the patio at night. But overall very nice. Would stay again.

Cute place, comfortable. Appreciated the fireplace, hot tub, bedroom fan, and well-stocked kitchen. Disliked: shower. Don't love standing in inches of water, no good place to set large toiletries (floor, too high, or sideways?). Place looked clean, but quickly noticed trash from prior guests in living room (stir stick, ear bud cover). Also disappointed that listing advertised DVDs and VHS, but no players found. Brought Christmas dvds but ended up streaming Netflix instead.

Hot tub in the mountains

You must dine at Creekside, while here, sit outside, along the creek. Quiet and charming, little cabin in the woods. Neighbors are great, too.

Honeymoon cottage

Cute little cottage and located near attractions. We wish it would have been more secluded but had neighbors on all four sides. Sandra was very accommodating when we needed to change our date. Plenty of great suggestions with local restaurant information and parks.

Great location! Very close to Pike’sPeak entrance and Garden of the Gods. Quiet neighborhood. The beds were very comfortable. There was plenty of hot water at a good volume.Both bathroom sinks need some attention; the stopper on the sink in the master bedroom bath had the sink stopped up (so the bowl filled with water). The lever to unstop the sink was broken, and there was no access to the underside of the sink, so we had no way of draining the water from the sink. As a result, we could not use that sink at all.The drain in the sink in the other bathroom needs attention as this sink drained very slowly. The sink was usable but only in stops and starts as you had to wait for the bowl to drain between uses.

Birthday

The cottage is super cute, cozy, and tucked away on a quiet street but conveniently close to all the Manitou/C Springs activities, restaurants, etc. It was clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay! My only issue is that the hot tub was not warm enough to use. We sat in it for 10 minutes or so and had to get out as we were cold. I have made recommendation to host to have the temperature higher as 95 is not warm enough. But otherwise we really enjoyed our stay!enough.

Nostalgic and Cozy getaway

My friend and I stayes here a night because we needed a hot tub soak in the mountains sans kids. This place was perfect. We came after a blizzard and the walk was shoveled and the heat turned on. Our host even made sure the fireplace was on for us! Lots of quick communication for those little questions. The hot water heater was surprisingly quick and generous for the age of the cottage. My friend and I especially enjoyed the wall of vhs films and game shelf. Gave us rec room from the 90s feels. Very beautiful cottage over all!

Ramona Cottage

Pros: The beds were clean and very comfortable. It is a very quiet location except for a barking dog. Cons: The place smelled like gas and old bacon grease. Most of the windows were painted shut so we couldn't use the fresh mountain air. The sink in the second bathroom was clogged so we used the bathroom sink where the tub was. Quite inconvenient. The tub hadn't been cleaned. The trash cans were dirty. Any kitchen utensils used had to be prewashed.

Bob and I came out to Colorado in 1997 and fell in love with the mountain town of Cascade. Being close to Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs, the airport and all needed shopping areas, we felt if we were going to live in Colorado we had to be in the mountains. We purchased the B & B and then the Ramona cottage. We love entertaining and gourmet cooking.

The cottage is just a short walk to the Wines of Colorado as they offer wine tasting and great entrees for lunch or dinner,or Mildreds Cafe has great breakfasts, and homemade cinnamon rolls to die for. We are close to the drive up Pikes Peak or visiting Santa's Workshop at the North Pole.
