We loved the location and the view was magnificent. The owners were very warm and welcoming. Overall, this was a wonderful, relaxing stay and we will definitely be back!

Joel & Amy are easy to share time with and have interesting stories to tell! They treated the Little House like it was their own and are welcome back anytime. They were not only appreciative as guests, but were very generous in offering us the most wonderful coffee from their company, High Point Coffee! The Dark Roast is superb! ☕️

We were looking for a quiet place for just the two of us to get away and recharge. This was perfect! Don was a gracious host, and the home was just a dollhouse with an amazing view and super location! We had hoped to fish a little, but the heat was intense and we opted for the A/C! Lots to see and do in the area. Just a short drive from restaurants and a little market. An over all comfortable place with that lake house magic!!

We enjoyed Pamela staying at the “Little House.” She provided interesting conversation and constructive suggestions that any host would welcome. She left the property in remarkable condition and is welcome back anytime! An excellent guest!

Kentucky Lake Couple's Getaway

This is a great place for a couple to stay. The house was in a great location with access to the lake. The hosts were welcoming and helpful with where to go in the area. The house was comfortable with beautiful views of the lake.

Beautiful View

Great location. Great view, Great Host! We truley enjoyed our 4th of July weekend at this amazingly location. Visited daily by a cute boxer named Diesel just made it that much better! Easy walk to the marina for drinks and entertainment. Book now

It was easy hosting Deb & Dan over the 4th of July weekend. Easy to relate to with interesting stories of their own to share. They are friendly and always made our interaction's a welcome experience, even granting Diesel, the dog, all the attention he loves. Weekend getaway

The owner was wonderful and kind! He was very helpful and accommodating to meet all our needs. The view cannot be beat. We had an unobstructed view of the lake and it was perfect for our weekend away to relax.

Right on the water

Don≤ta(and Diesel) were the most amazing hosts. The house has the BEST view of the lake, great view of boat activity, very close to the boat ramp which is great for launching a kayak. The house has everything and more you could want for a getaway or holiday weekend! The house is cozy with amazing views, great coffee and fun games. Neighborhood is great for walking! Would recommend this property and will stay again! The hosts are so nice, easy and quick to communicate with and treat you like family! We enjoyed our stay so much!

View was great however the house wasn't clean. Had to wipe down the bathroom and put clean sheets on the bed. Kitchen sink and stove top had dried food on it. Toilet seat was broken so we had to sit carefully to avoid falling in the floor. The internet quit working on the first day we were there. Disappointing trip to say the least.

It’s difficult to remedy issue's when you’re not aware they exist. I met Cindy & Danny while walking the first morning of their stay. I wasn’t informed of any issues! Had any of these issues been brought to my attention I would have resolved them immediately! I want guests to be happy! I am disappointed in this outcome!

Million Dollar View Experience❤️

My overall impression was the awesome lakeside view, watching the beautiful sunrise on the lake, the heartwarming coffee they had for us, the fine Gilbertsville hospitality, the relaxing most comfortable futon, loved kayaking, the little balcony to enjoy the quietness, the lit up wall full of lighthouses was beautifully romantic at night, the two comfy bamboo chairs with foot rests. Oh, that’s just a few of the features that come with that million dollar view! And, I left accomplishing exactly what I went for: to leave feeling 100% rested and refreshed from a busy summer of gardening, mowing and mulching. Thank you, Don & Leta, and Diesel! I will recommend this cottage to our son and a couple others❤️‼️

Fantastic location and views. Pet friendly with a vey well behaved next door dog , Diesel. Donald was very accommodating and went above and beyond to help us kayak. His restaurant recommendation (Popi’s) was also fantastic. We enjoyed renting a pontoon boat from a local marina, fishing off the dock, several trips kayaking up and down the shoreline, exploring the Land Between the Lakes (Hematite Lake hike, Elk and Bison Prairie), Grand Rivers and Green Turtle Bay (Tiki Turtle).
