Our unit listing is in the Kihei Kai Nani Resort and is "Resort - Hotel" designated property and not apartment zoned. We have enjoyed hosting guests since 2011 in short term rental stays and are able to continue as is everyone in the Kihei Kai Nani Resort.

Overview: The Kihei Kai Nani resort is situated across from one of Maui's highest rated beaches, Kamaole Beach II with easy access to beach. Lifeguarded, sandy, soft beach and calm waters with great snorkeling with turtles sometime swimming through the water close to shore. Beach has flush toilets in restrooms, picnic tables and at the joining park (Kam III) there is a playground.
Tropical grounds, huge resort pool open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., BBQ areas including group area you can reserve through the KKN office. We feel safe to go out in our neighbourhood anytime.
Some highlights of our deluxe ground floor unit:
This renovated unit is in a quiet area of complex with a large yard - garden view. It is quiet, as it's away from South Kihei Rd. and is located in building 10, unit 166. As you walk up the driveway, the unit is on the right hand side after you pass the office and pool. Sit on the patio anytime and smell the plumeria trees while listening to the wild birds singing.
We leave men's and women's golf clubs, beach towels, beach chairs and coolers for your use. Also snorkels, masks, fins, boogie boards and pool noodles are left, but can't be guaranteed.
Wash your laundry in the unit and dry on outside racks or use either the washers or dryers that are coin operated pool side.
The kitchen has new appliances in 2024 so there is less chance of your food spoiling. The well equipped kitchen has most everything you can think of and need. If you unwind in the evening watching TV, we have 2 TV's, 50" TV and 48" Smart TV (bedroom Ruku) including cable in the unit and a wi-fi extender in the bedroom (hooray!).
We have enjoyed having this unit for 14 years and many upgrades have been done to make it look like a modern, Hawaiian unit. We have smooth ceilings and walls, tile floors and new ceiling fans. Although the ground floor is cooler than second and third floors, there is air conditioning in the living room and many floor/window fans (see photos). If you happen to not have a phone plan to phone home, please request information to download an app for free calling to US or Canada from our unit or the pool. We have hosted couples that don't rent a car while here and it's easy to get around on the bus. The location is on the bus loop and a two-minute walk to beach, Fred's Mexican Restaurant, alcohol stores, clothing and gift shops and other restaurants. Our sleeping possibilities include room for five people. Tell us how many you need to sleep and we will be happy to discuss the possibilities so our cleaner can have the unit set up, so you are all comfortable.

-One newer sofa-a-bed queen bed (sleeps 2) with comfortable memory foam mattress
-Pack and play for baby or toddler (sleeps 1)
-Queen raised blow up mattress
-One single air mattress, not raised and more suitable for a child when three guests or more stay (sleeps 1).

All the units in the Kihei Kai Nani were originally built with the same square footage of 717 sq. ft. including patio (lani) or 621 sq. ft inside, one bedroom and one bathroom.
We hope to welcome you to our condo. The upgrades in the unit along with activities like whale watching, fishing, surfing, boogie boarding, paddle boarding, jogging and snorkeling nearby lend to a great vacation.
Our guests' enjoyment is a top priority for us, and we are here to answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding our unit or complex before, during your stay, or after you book.

No flushable wipes, band-Aids, pads, paper, towels or garbage in the toilet or it will clog and I will keep your damage deposit.

We have traveled to lots of beaches in the world but fell in love with Maui because of the warm evening temperatures and the beautiful sand beach across the street. We bought our home there in 2011 and are still in love with Maui.
We enjoy being active and healthy and Maui lends itself to that. We enjoy snorkeling, shuffleboard, golfing (golf clubs in unit),going for walks and star gazing,
We enjoy being social, welcoming guests and keeping in touch. The BBQ and gazebo with gathering area allows us to (reserve it!) be social, enjoy dinner and mingling with friends and other guests.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

When we came across the Kihei Kai Nani we knew we struck gold on location for sure. It was love at first sight with the white sand beach, sunshine and lifeguards included. We wanted the waterfront across from where we were buying to be sand instead of lava rock so we could easily swim off a sandy shore - we do that almost daily when we are here!
Ground floor is cooler than upper floors and no stairs from the pool or parking lot into our unit(easy carrying groceries). We enjoy the swimming, snorkeling and paddle boarding across the street at Kam II beach where we also watch the sunset. We like the short walking distance to budget friendly restaurants or upscale ones. Walking distance for happy hour can be a good idea. Shopping is also nearby if we need clothes, groceries, sunscreen or a bottle of wine.

- Two nearby BBQ's. We have one just 75 ft. away and a second bbq out our front door.
- Pool location is just across the main driveway.
- Grass, just off the patio seems like an extra room.
- Walking distance to stay without rental car.
- Budget friendly and upscale restaurants are close walking distance. The City bus runs on our road every half hour to the Shops of wailea or King Kameah Kameah Mall. Star fruit can be picked off a tree on our grounds by going to the office and borrowing a star frui t picker.
