The apartment is in a house with numerous other apts. just blocks to downtown. The two bedrooms were spacious and clean. The pictures are pretty close to what you get with the exception of some decorations are different.Two things: there is a back door to the apt that leads to a main hall of other apartments. That door, instead of being a solid core or metal door for security with a dead bolt, it’s an interior bedroom door with a typical BR lock that can be easily picked. Also, the back bedroom light turns up and down at will. The price though was better than any other apt I could find so if you can get over these things, I recommend.

The best thing about this rental was the location. It can’t be beat. Walking distance to restaurants, cafes, shops. It was so convenient! The place was very clean and well maintained. Communication with the host was great as well. The parking, however, was tricky. It was very tight. If someone parked poorly, it messed up the parking for everyone else. But we managed. The only other gripe was the noise. The walls are thin and you can hear every footstep and door closing. If you happen to get loud neighbors during your stay, you can hear their entire conversation in the back hallway. Otherwise, this place was great!

If you would like to visit Newport I would recommend this property. Everything was within walking distance and there is this cute little diner across the street that served breakfast and had the best coffee. Parking was a little tricky but other than that I would stay here again.

Weekend vacation

Property was exactly like the pictures. Location was perfect distance from restaurants without being too close to noise. Communication was easy. Nothing wrong/not working and extremely clean. Great time and will definitely be booking this same place again!

Unfortunately, this place needs some serious TLC. While the host was helpful in getting some of the issues fixed (once we got in touch with her) and the location is excellent, I don't think this place was worth the price tag - for a few reasons:- Our bed frame was completely broken, causing the mattress to cave in. The host did send someone to fix this, but not until 2/3 of the way through our trip, so the rest of the time we had to sleep on a mattress on the floor (first the host didn't reply on the app, then once I reached out over text she said she would send someone but they didn't show up, so 2 days later it got fixed)- The AC's were COVERED in mold, so we couldn't use them until she sent someone to clean them (which, same as above, was 2 days later). Summer without AC was not fun, and we couldn't even open the windows because there were people downstairs smoking weed right outside our apartment and it filled the place with smoke- Once we could use the AC, we found that you can't use the AC in one of the bedrooms with the lights on, or the power goes out - this was not able to be fixed- Kitchen was not stocked at all - only salt and expired oil & vinegar but no other kitchen basics - Bathtub blocker didn't work - not the end of the world but made things tough with a toddler (especially when we specific looked for places with tubs) Again, location is great, but you are really just paying for location with this place - don't expect to spend a lot if time inside.

Great location and wonderful stay! Close to everything, including the free #67 bus (in between 2 of the stops), 15-minute walk to 2 grocery stores, darling restaurants and pubs are a block away. Quiet location and spacious for a family of 4. The only small issue was the laundry; it is onsite but not in the unit, you will need to bring quarters and detergent. Newport was one stop on our trip and doing laundry was a key reason for choosing the unit. Other than that, I would not hesitate to book this unit! PS check out the Charter bookstore on Broadway on your way to the wharf-they have authors regularly scheduled to speak.

Great location, no-frills unit

The unit is in a great location, a short walk to all things in downtown Newport. The unit is clean and works for a short stay in town. However, the photos in the listing display a different unit in the same building (this unit has smaller and/or less furniture), the beds are small and rather uncomfortable, the couch in the living room is smaller than the one shown and is broken, and the walls are extremely thin so you can hear your neighbors pretty easily. Overall, it's a fine place to stay to be close to downtown Newport, but provides minimal amenities.

Decent place, just needs some touches to make it a 5

Place wasn’t the same as in the listing for the living room there was a coffee table (there wasn’t which would’ve been nice), kitchen was different color, and beds were different. Property itself is in a great location. Rooms need some work though. Beds were flimsy, couch arm was broken and couch itself was very small. place is better suited for 2 people rather than 4. Also extremely loud. Could constantly hear the people in other units slamming their doors and someone’s dog barked into all hours of the night. Parking was fine as there is a driveway with 1 spot reserved and then we were able to find a spot in a lot for the other car since it was a weekend. Overall it was a nice place and it suited our needs, I just wish there was a little more space to sit and that the couch was broken!

The place was clean and very close to the main streets. We walked everywhere. Host was very responsive and helpful. Only downfall was parking. But it was a nice place and area.

The place was some what clean but a bit outdated. Communication was good. The entry to the apartments could use some TLC and some new paint. The place is close to the wharfs and restaurants and shops. Don’t need to drive and it’s walkable. There is parking but limited space.

Great location!! 1 unit in a house. Upstairs. Easy code check in. Other units were also booked so we had to park in the garage. Was a tight squeeze. Overall no issue! There were instructions for check in, otherwise did not have to contact host. Thank you for hosting us!
