Wonderful Stay — We’ll Be Back!Our group had a fantastic time at this property! The home was wonderful—comfortable, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.We especially loved swimming off the dock, and having access to the water equipment was such a bonus! It made our time on the water even more fun and convenient.The location was perfect, and our VRBO host was very responsive, helpful, and wonderful to work with throughout our stay.We enjoyed the property so much that we’re hoping to book it again for next summer. We can’t wait to return!

Delightful house with gorgeous views. Everyone loved their bedroom. We enjoyed all the living spaces- the sunroom, the kitchen, the living room, the spacious dining room, the upstairs and downstairs porches, and of course the dock. We talked, we played, we ate, we went out on the lake, and made great memories.

Awesome SML House!

We had such a good time at this really nice house on SML. The house was so nice, clearly recently renovated, and not done cheaply. Beds and beddings were comfortable, kitchen well stocked, lots of bedrooms plus space for kids to play. And the dock was also great. In a nice cove that has less traffic so the kids had a great time swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, etc. Easy to rent a boat from nearby arenas and explore the lake. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun lake trip.

Fantastic house and a wonderful time for all

My wife and I rented the house for a summer vacation with my kids and grandson. It was better than even imagined. We also rented a pontoon boat for two days. We spent the days swimming off the dock and cruising in the boat. At night we played ping-pong, cornhole, other games and sipped wonderful cocktails. Only comment is that if you sleep in the bedrooms under the kitchen you will hear footsteps from above in the morning - solved that problem with earplugs and slept nice and late everyday!

What a blessing!

Our family had never been to Smith Mountain Lake VA and chose to come last minute because our planned trip to the NC mountains was canceled due to the hurricane. This house was PERFECT for our multi generational family from age 2 to 81! The bedrooms and bathrooms are beautiful and so very comfortable. The kitchen was an amazing gathering space and very well stocked. Living areas are super comfortable for people of all ages. We rented a boat from the marina and played putt putt and had ice cream there. What a wonderful trip! Everyone was so kind and we enjoyed our time tremendously. The host was very kind, responded quickly and communicated well. It was hard to leave the incredible views from almost every room and the built in comforts of this home to return to reality. Hope to be back in the future. Thank you for allowing us to make memories here!

The house and view are amazing. You can see the water from almost every room in the house. The provided consumables like hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, etc was greatly appreciated as many house on SML do not provide those things. The dock and all provided fun things like paddle boards, kayaks and especially the three and four person tube for tubbing were hits. We never had a four person dube before! The house had two twin air mattresses that were high quality and the twin floor mattress was used in the gym room which turned into a nice quiet spot for a family member. I would defintiely rent this house again. My 95 year old grandmother was able to get down to the dock with her walker because there is a complete outside travel path around the side of the house that is stepless and the sunroom was her favorite spot. It does have its own a/c unit so the temperature can be controlled. The only two subpar things were the very small gas grill (owner is working on getting a new one) and the cleanliness as some items were found underneath the vanities in the bathroom left from the previous renters.

This is a really great place and looks better in person than the pictures alone! It's right on the lake and has plenty of amenities for kids and adults to enjoy. We stayed for a long weekend with 8 adults and 3 kids and the house has plenty of space for everyone. The only feedback would be to provide more bath towels. I believe there were enough for each person to have 1, but with kids it's helpful to have extras. Luckily, we had friends driving in who could bring extras. A bonus would be to provide beach towels for the lake also, which would have been nice as my girlfriend and I flew in from NYC so we didn't bring them. Overall, this is a really great place for a large group and I'd recommend it!
