We were a little early, the place was notready and the maid had to show us around. The jacuzzi did not work during out visit and the outdoor grill grate was broken beyond usability There was nothing nice to say about grounds keeping. Hi Stewart, I appreciate you taking the time out to right a response. The Hottub was 104 degrees your entire stay. I know it can be frustrating it’s not a jacuzzi if you didn’t know that (it’s mentioned in the instructions a few times that the jacuzzi doesn’t have jets). We have multiple new grill pieces always as they do need to be changed out often and of course sometimes our cleaners don’t always let us know, but our manager would’ve changed that out in a jiffy if you would’ve let us know. Our goal is exceptional 5 star stays always! Unfortunately Stewart was early, rude to our cleaning staff who was not ready for him and yelled at me on the phone. I would not recommend Stewart to any host. We are always 100% communicative and go above and beyond whatever our guests needs. We have over 500 5 star reviews on other sites. 😃

This is a nice property but not nearly a 10. The view of the trees is great but there is really no view of the lake. The house is cozy but the kitchen and living spaces are small. Upon entering there is an overwhelming musty smell presumably from the steam room in the downstairs bathroom.

This property has hundreds of 5 Star reviews on airbnb and I am so sorry to hear you didn't have a 10/10 experience like so many of our other guests. Sometimes when guests use the steam room and do not allow the door to stay open for the steam to be let out they can create a musty smell during their stay! So sorry that was your experience but I can confidently say that is usually just a guest error that they can easily fix! Our views are amazing and the ambience of the yard can't be beat as so many of the other guests have commented :)

Very responsive and friendly host. Amazing home! The hot tub, steam shower, pool- it is literally your very own spa!!! Chef’s kitchen appliances make cooking fun. A gorgeous living room with floor-to-ceiling windows and peek-a-boo views of Lake Washington and the beautiful green trees. The photos don’t do it justice!

Lovely Stay!

We very much enjoyed our experience at this Seward Park gem! The home highlights and features were exactly as pictured/described, yet more enjoyable in person. The pool and hot tub were particular favorites of ours. Just as described, we were able to watch local bald eagles right in the back yard. The location was perfect for us visiting friends in the Mt. Baker/Columbia City neighborhoods and a relatively easy trip to the proper downtown Seattle area. Lake Washington is right at the end of the street. Parking was ample. Communication was friendly & timely. Recommended!

I can’t think of a better area of Seattle to be based in August than the neighborhood and situation of Jessica’s house . She was easy to talk to and very honest . The setting is very unique shared with ancient evergreens and stone pathways classic to northwest . One large tree truck that greets you in the courtyard on entering is larger than many you’ll find in the forests of the Cascades. The garden in back is friendly and pleasant with a stone hot pool to dunk for relief from sore muscles or a full day of activity . Our early mornings heading directly to the lake for swims or walks all the way to Seward Park not even a mile we’re exactly as August mornings should be. The house was a little quirky but we expected it in the most part and in many ways I would say gave it charm , some of our family members might not use the word charm despite how unique our stay was . It felt like an original wooded lake house with modern a nice modern kitchen .. It was a spa like feel on the ground level needing some potential maintenance but the soaking tubs straight from bedroom doors were nice .. I amVery happy we had the time there with our grandson ,daughter and son in law

A little bit of luxury

My daughter and I came to run the half marathon, which started at Seward Park. Our family came to support us (hence the 7 bedroom place). This house was 0.9 miles from the start line. A perfect warm-up walk to the start line. The run along the ocean (every part of the run was less than a mile from this house, even though the entire run was 13.1 miles!). It was a cold wet run along the ocean, but we had a hot tub to end it. It also had laundry facilities (important to wash our wet clothing after the run) and a great kitchen, and living room with big wide windows. Honestly, I cannot describe how wonderful this house was for a group of people who just want some luxury, as well as nice walks and runs along the edge of the ocean. The check-in was super easy. We also took public transport down to Pike Place Market for a day which was very easy to do.

We were disappointed. We did not find this to be a 10/10 property. The rooms were clean, but the property was not. From cigarette butts on the deck railing to dog toys on the back yard tables to pool toys too dirty to use. Three of the 4 bedrooms are on the lower level, which smelled very musty. It would have been helpful to have s book of instructions to help you with the idiosyncrasies of the property, such as the door locks. We were surprised there was an additional dwelling unit in the back yard which was occupied. All that said, it was a great location for us. The soaking tub was very nice. The view of the yard from the living room makes you feel in the woods. It's only a few hundred steps to Lake Washington (which isn't actually visible from the house).

Hi Curt! I am so surprised by your review and am sincerely sorry you didn't have an awesome stay. We pride ourselves in having almost all 5 star reviews on other platforms and we often have repeat visitors. We do not allow smoking on our property so I am surprised to hear that and disappointed the cleaners didn't see this and take care of it for you, I have of course shared your review with them and know they will not let this happen again. I have hosted over 1000 guests here and I stay here whenever I am home and love the property. I am sorry you didn't find it up to a 5 star review.

This is my childhood home! I can’t imagine a more idyllic place. We share the property with an ADU in the front that houses my father and the groundskeeper. They will not disturb and will not enter your space unless you need help! You only share the front gate entrance with them otherwise the oasis and backyard are all your own.
