Great place for a family get together. Lots of areas to sit and relax inside and out , in the shade or the sun. Kayaks were used to enjoy the lake and water was lovely warm for swimming as expected in July.

Beautiful place

The home was beautiful, the views from the balconies and the dock were phenomenal. The pictures truly don’t do this place justice because it has everything you could ask for and more!

Beautiful Lake House

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The view of the lake was spectacular and we were very pleased with the accommodations. The host was very responsive and helpful in regards to our schedule and we would definitely stay here again.

The Weerdos

We loved it! It's beautiful and in a fantastic location. We stayed for 4 nights and loved every minute of it. We had everything we needed for a family of 6.

We had a very good time at the property. The interior was well appointed, with many nice touches, and we found cooking in the kitchen was an attractive option. The interior porch overlooking the lake was great - we tended to gather there every day at some point. Most of us didn't venture down to the lake...we're into a point in our lives where the stairs that are common to lake houses in this area can be daunting...but did spend time on the upper deck. Overall, it was a really nice place to enjoy a week away from the cares of life at home!

We loved the property. It was in good condition and clean and ready for us. The only challenge we had was keeping all of the bedrooms cool for sleeping. Only two of the sleeping areas have an AC unit in them. It would be great to have an AC unit in the other three bedrooms.Overall we loved the property and the lake is beautiful. We would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this Honeoye Lake house! The location was fantastic - right on the Lake with its own dock and the house had plenty of room for our group of 12 (5 adults, 7 kids). We did have a few issues come up- the range/oven didn’t work due to some issue with the breaker box and when we arrived the air conditioning had not been on in a while so it was VERY warm and took a while to cool down. We contacted the host about both issues and she was very quick to respond. She even found a handyman to try to fix the range, but it didn’t end up getting fixed during our stay so we went without (but the grill worked great!) It also would have been nice to have a couple of shade umbrellas out on the deck as there are such beautiful views of the lake to enjoy, but it was mostly in full sun the whole day. Overall, our stay was wonderful though and I would recommend this place to others!

Lovely property. Roomy and comfy bedrooms, and everything you need. Especially loved the day room, with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the lake. Enjoyed evenings sitting on the outside decks. So many stars on a clear night! Kids loved using the kayaks, lake was very calm. One caution... there are a lot of stairs outside, and a spiral staircase inside. May present challenges for folks with mobility issues..

Our stay was during non-peak lake rental season (mid-April). Quiet neighborhood during off-season. A/C units were still winterized and inoperable during the unexpected heat wave. After our brief 4 night stay, we notified hosts of sub-par cleaning prior to and various mechanical issues encountered during our stay. Evidence of recent upgrades (including parts delivered during our stay) to the property. Dishwasher works well. Lovely views of the lake. As we were cleaning and closing up, we discovered a mallard hen made a nest and laid eggs under the stairs to the upper deck--my granddaughter loved seeing that.

Regarding the air conditioning, we’re sorry to hear you weren’t able to use it. During the cooler months, we place protective plastic covers over the window A/C units, but they are fully operational and can be used at any time by simply removing the covers. Unfortunately, this wasn’t brought to our attention during your stay. Had you reached out, we would have been happy to guide you through it so you could have been comfortable during the unexpected warm weather. Thank you again for your feedback. The hosts were very communicative and accommodating. The check-in/checkout process was smooth. The property was clean and well-supplied with plenty of towels, soaps, linens, and cookware. The climate controls inside worked well and cooling every room on warm days was no problem. The lake view and access are amazing, and the pier is in excellent condition - a great spot for fishing! All in all, we had a great family vacation here.
