Very cute place to stay off King St - it was as advertised, very clean and comfortable, kitchen was stocked well enough to cook. Street/bar noise wasn't bothersome to me at all while inside, and the beds were really comfortable. (I wouldn't recommend if you have napping children/light sleepers). Quick to get to and from the highway as well as to some really good restaurants/bar. Parking was in a hard to find deck by the Hyatt House Charleston across the street and a half block up - you get a voucher to use to pay as you exit. I didn't realize this was a one-time use voucher, so I had to pay 35 to exit the deck very early in the morning on my way to the airport. Takes a good 25 minutes to walk to the french quarter, which I didn't know was that far away. This was my first visit to the area and I was surprised at how crowded, traffic-wise and people-wise, the area was, especially for a mid-week stay. Construction, narrow roads and sidewalks, one ways, closed roads, unhoused people begging/yelling... all felt a little too "big city" to me rather than the quiet, slow-paced southern charm I was hoping for. In hind site, Mt. Pleasant may have been better for me with day trips to Charleston proper. Just my 2 cents.
