The Cottage at Dagget Hollow benefits from its prime location along the Great River Road in Grafton, Illinois, providing guests with a unique blend of natural beauty, recreational opportunities, entertainment venues, and cultural experiences.

The Illinois Suite studio offers an open floor plan that is perfect for a romantic weekend away.

Living Area The living area features an open-concept design with luxury vinyl flooring throughout and large windows allow ample natural light to flood the space, creating a bright and airy atmosphere. The room is furnished with a comfortable sofa and TV.

Kitchenette The kitchenette boasts a modern design with a stainless steel full-size refrigerator, granite countertops, large sink, microwave, Keurig coffee maker with a variety of k-cups, toaster/convection oven, and single burner cooktop. Fully outfitted with utensils, plates, glasses, bowls and cookware. Two-person dining table nestled cozy in the corner

Sleeping Area Bright, sunlit room with a queen bed, fluffy pillows, and luxury linens.

Terrace The outdoor dining area with umbrella and fire pit has amazing views of the Mississippi River The entire studio unit and deck are for the use of our guest.

Absolutely adorable cottage! The owner had so many added personal touches. Pet friendly! There were even little goodies for our dog! Highly recommend!

Its a comfy and cozy retreat. Perfect distance away from all the bars a restaurants to be able to enjoy a nice meal and get away from the rowdier night life

No bath soap or shampoo In shower. Notified the owner, reply was “Oh, sorry about that.” So were we, so 1/2 star off for none being there and 1/2 star off for not bringing any when we noted it.

We chose to stay at Dagget Hollow for our annual bald eagle trip this year.....it was such a cute and comfy space! It was super easy to get to and the host communication was excellent regarding check-in. We had dinner at Fountain Hill Steak & Seafood which was only a few blocks away! The welcome gift was so thoughtful and we enjoyed brewing our morning coffee using the Keurig.....they even had to-go cups! The snacks in the kitchen were great and there was even cold water in the fridge to drink. Little extras like that really make a stay even more special. We will definitely be back!

Cozy Anniversary

This place is exactly what we needed to celebrate our anniversary and one of our favorite towns. They had everything that was needed, including stuff that we didn’t think to bring. The decorations were extremely cute. In fact, I took so many pictures for inspiration for my home! The owners were very vigilant in their responses and replied quickly. Can’t wait to stay again.

Didn't talk to host. Room was SUPER CLEAN AND NICE. No curtains on 2 windows. 2 didn't work properly. There was a return air vent or air filter that ran the whole time. And it was right above the bed. I didn't get very much sleep listening to that.

Place was as expected...cozy and private. The only issue was that the on demand hot water never reached the shower even after a very long period. It did work in the kitchen and bathroom sink. A warm shower would have been appreciated.

Sorry you had an issue with the hot water. I wish you would have told me while you were here. The cottage uses a tankless water heater and some times you have to run the hot water in the bathroom sinks and shower to get the water flowing if the water heater has sat idle for a time.

Great place to stay. Only suggestion is with the lack of internet at check in if there are any questions a direct phone number would be helpful to contact the host.

The location of the Cottage at Dagget Hollow is walking distance to all the fun activities that the town center of Grafton has to offer. It is right across the street from the Sam Vandalabene bike trail that parallels the Great River Road from Alton to the south to Pere Marquette State Park to the north. The cottage is peaceful and has amazing, unobstructed views of the river.
