An extremely relaxing setting. Give plenty of time for arrival if using the ferry to the island.

A wonderful beachfront view and totally relaxing ambiance. Even our pups enjoyed the beach environment. Weather didn’t matter— clouds, rain, sun, breeze— complete relaxation to the sound of surf breaking,.Convenient to Melrose Oyster House for food, drinks, and grocery.

Great spot GREAT back porch

This was a great relaxing getaway We rented the golf cart which was a must to get anywhere The back porch was so great in the morning and in the evening We walked right onto to the beach and also hung out at the Melrose poolOwner of property was quick to respond and very accommodating. Would highly recommend!!

Relaxing get away

Incredibly comfortable and very well equipped cottage by the water. Honestly can’t say enough about how relaxing this place is. We really appreciated the owner helping us navigate our first, but definitely not last visit.

What a beautiful, peaceful, serene, stunning island. This house has large rooms that help with respite feelings. The golf cart is a must if staying here. Explore the whole island. Bring meats and drinks over in a cooler. The home has stunning views and a very comfy house with everything you need.

Beautiful property

We had the best time at the beach house! Everything was clean and up to date. We rented the golf cart from owner (highly recommend) and had no problems navigating the island within a day! It really does feel like you have this secret place that’s protected by locals and also equally loved. We will absolutely be back to this property in the future. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Quiet and Relaxing Getaway

This location is perfect for a quiet relaxing getaway. Clean and well appointed 2 bedroom unit with plenty of room. The view from the screened in back porch spans from Hilton Head across the sound over to Tybee. It is steps from the beach. It is also walking distance to Melrose Oyster House for a meal, quick stop at the bar or the pool. The Owner was very responsive and offered suggestions for the ferry, transportation, dinner and groceries. The optional 6-seat golf cart was very convenient. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.

We stayed at this property during our family vacation. There was enough room for the 6 of us to relax and prepare meals comfortably. We were disappointed that the kayaks advertised in the listing were not available. We noticed the kayaks have since been removed from the listing. We asked if beach towels were included and were told that they were not. When we got to the property there were plenty of beach towels. Would highly recommend renting the golf cart that is offered. Overall, the area was beautiful and we will definitely be visiting Daufuskie again!

Thank you! We have decided that the kayaks are too much of a liability to be offered. The cottage is oceanfront, and the riptides have been really bad this summer with several drownings in the Hilton Head area and we are not willing to offer kayak use for those reasons. As far as beach towels go. I do not stock them or offer them because I don’t know if they’ll be there or not when the next guests visit because they tend to disappear and that is why I do not include that with the listing. If there happens to be some beach towels, great, but I do not guarantee. My housekeeping company does not stock them.

We had a great time last week. Renee was great with communication. The cottage had plenty of room for our family of 4 but could accommodate 8 if needed. Kitchen was fully stocked with anything you could need. Plenty of spices too. The only thing I wish they had was a vacuum or broom for the inside of the cottage. We also struggled with the water spout at the rear of the house. Never could get it to work correctly so we used the front spout. Not convenient, but worked. We would definitely return.

Thank you! I’ve always had a cordless vacuum in the laundry/pantry area. Was it not there? I have always had a broom and dustpan next to the stackable washer and dryer. Let me know if those things are all missing or if you did not look there. I will check with my Cleaning Lady to make sure those things are still there and if not, I will have them replaced.

This place is amazing! Be sure to bring K Cup coffee pods, if you are a coffee drinker as that is the only pot! The location is perfect and the beach is stunning!

Thank you! However, I have resolved the K cup only problem. I have purchased and added a regular drip pot and an electric coffee bean grinder. This way, everybody should be accommodated with whatever kind of coffee they bring.
