OCEANFRONT with Golf cart & Amenity Access

- Please note that it is necessary to take a ferry to Daufuskie Island and the cost of boat and ground transportation is around $90 per person roundtrip, with discounts available for children 5 and under. (Parking fees may apply.) Options for ferry, water taxi, grocery shopping, etc. are provided on our site and we're happy to assist with the details.

JonBie Maisons guests have access to Beach Club amenties: pool, fitness center, pickleball courts, etc.

This premium cottage has it all. Situated on the ocean-front row of Daufuskie’s beautiful Avenue of Oaks, JonBie Maison guests will look to the Atlantic Ocean beach from the screened-in front porch. The cottage has a wonderful location, and cottage guests will be just steps away from the pristine Melrose Beach .

The interior of the cottage is open and spacious living/dining/kitchen area that is great for family and friend time. The cottage includes roku enabled flat screen TVs in the living room and both bedrooms. WIFI is Free during your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with service for 8 or more with full size stainless steel appliances, garbage disposal, dishwasher, and a stocked Coffee/Tea Bar, making meal preparation easy for you and your family throughout your stay - even Holidays! Meals can be enjoyed in the dining area or screened porch.

A laundry room with full size washer and dryer is also available to make island life more convenient and comfortable; and there is a high chair and pack & play for your infant and toddler needs.

A golf cart is also included with your booking and additional golf carts are available at discounted rate. Information for reserving additional carts will be provided at booking GAS CARTS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED AT ALL JONBIE COTTAGES & VILLAS and Carts are NOT to be used for hauling luggage, coolers, groceries, etc.

Information on transportation to and from the island along with getting groceries and activities will be provided with your rental. JonBie Maison is an owner vacation home and we’re happy to share our dream come true with you along with all that we know of beautiful, special Daufuskie Island.

Great getaway

We were not really sure what to expect in our first trip to the island. Our hosts were very helpful with all of their knowledge to help us get acclimated- there wasn’t a single thing they suggested that wasn’t great. Great, relaxing girls weekend!

Excellent property! We are already planning our next stay at the same beautiful home. Great communication with Tammy and they even sent over firewood and accessories for a last night fire pit fire evening. Such a wonderful home!!

A wonderful family trip!

This was out first time visit Daufuskie Island and it was everything described. Beautiful, peaceful and a great experience! Our beach house was perfect and had everything we needed. We hope to be back, next year!

Great place, great view and very clean

Very nice and comfortable cottage! Just steps from the beach. Beautiful view. We had a great time exploring the island on the golf cart provided.

Just What We Needed!

JonBie's beach house on Daufuski was just the vacation we needed! My husband and two teenage daughters and our dog met up with my parents and their dog for four nights. We used the information JonBie provided in order to make reservations at Bull River Marina and Daufuski Island Transit. Both companies were incredibly easy to work with- responsive, friendly and on time. The beach house was beautiful and clean with every amenity on hand: cofee grinder? Check! Hair dryer? Check! SUP? Check! Golf cart? Check! We took advantage of all of it, and spent our days cruising the island in the cart, letting our dogs romp on the beach and enjoying family dinners in the evening. Kurt was helpful and laid back and helped orient us to the island life. We all enjoyed this special family time and would definitely stay here again!

Beach front stay

This place is amazing. It was just my wife, myself and my dog (60lb GSP) and we loved it here. The beach is directly in front of the house just over the dunes. We never saw more than 3 people on the entire beach the entire week we were there. We cooked and grilled every night, and the kitchen is well stocked for anything you would need! They do provide food and water bowls for the dogs but the dog bed provided is very small! Something to keep in mind if you’re bringing a larger dog. This was a fantastic place to stay and we are already planning out return

Unfortunately disappointing

We had numerous issues with this stay and left early. The units bathrooms and bedrooms were very nice and clean. The coffee maker was very old and dirty and should be replaced. The golf cart offered to us to use was dirty, had garbage in the back and all the seats were circled with mold. We lost heat the second night and the unit went down to 58 degrees, as well the fireplace didn’t work. The biggest issue is that Daufuskie Island is apparently in disrepair. The resort area where we were staying is bankrupt and actually boarded up. The beach club, restaurants and many restaurants on the island were either closed or had very limited hours and none of this information was given to us. As of this posting, the owner has not contacted us or made any inquiries as to our satisfaction. I would not recommend this property or the island until it is restored and fully functional again. Our loss I guess? I will say the the on site gentleman was responsive, we did get the heat back on, I do want to make that clear.

You must visit and stay

The house and experience of the property was so good that my family is already planning our next trip. The host had everything you could need on a location that is quasi-remote. If you want a place to slow down; have the things you need, want and did not even know you wanted, then you must stay here.

A beautiful oceanfront getaway

Modern updates and beautiful views in this quiet community! Enjoy the sounds of the water and the views of deer and birds, or escape to the comfy interior with lots of space for "only" a two-bedroom duplex. A well-appointed kitchen and game cabinets keep you occupied on rainy days. The JonBie management team kept us well-informed and helped with many of the logistics reminders that are unique to Dafuskie. We'll definitely look for JonBie properties when we return next time!

Quiet Beach House / Neighborhood

We had a great visit and truly enjoyed the quiet neighborhood of Melrose. The 2 bedrooms were laid out perfectly for the four of us. All the amenities we needed were available. We were impressed with how little sound could be heard between the adjacent bathrooms. The beachfront location was perfect for watching the waves while drinking morning coffee, or taking frequent walks on the beach. Kurt and Tammy were very helpful and we would highly recommend them and any of their homes in their portfolio.

We survived Idalia!

Even though there was a tropical storm on our second day and we were without power for little over a day, our hosts were great! They brought us coffee the morning the power was out. We will definitely be back!

Perfect Location

It was our first time on Daufuskie and we couldn’t have picked a better cottage for our stay! The cottage was clean, well stocked and a perfect location for easy beach access. This section of beach is perfect for younger kids - great swimming and sand! Our daughter loved having toys to use and a bike she could cruise around on. Tammy and Kurt have thought of everything! Check-in is personal - which was appreciated but unfortunately we were not mentally prepared for. We were dripping in sweat and distracted by our dog who wanted to go out and a 5yo who had been cooped up in a car/ferry for over 5 hours. Probably would’ve benefited from a buffer of time to transition to island vibes. Regardless, Kurt had great local knowledge to share from what I was able to retain and their guide book is very helpful. Golf cart ran well and is an absolute must for those staying on the island. Overall was a fantastic experience and we look forward to returning next year!

Wonderful home!

We stayed 12 nights and could have stayed longer! The island certainty isn't for everyone- there are mosquitos and limited options for dining/ shopping/ activities- but all of that was fine for us. The house was well stocked with towels, games, beach needs etc. Beds were comfortable, furniture was in good condition, and the AC worked LOL. The location was perfect in that it is close to the beach and easy access to the pool area. I recommend clarifying the cost of the pool if you stay multiple days. The first day we stopped by (not ready to swim) we were told it would be $250 for 10 days of pool access for our family, the next day a different person was working and we paid $150 for 9 days of swimming. All in all highly recommend!

Fun Island Vibe

Everything was great. This was our first trip to the island; we stayed 3 nights (extended weekend). This was a perfect amount of time to relax a little bit on the beach and to also run out to the crab co. for a bite to eat, drop by the small shops, farm market, coffee shop, distillery, etc. The house had everything needed for the beach and games/puzzles/bikes for the kids. The island has its own vibe and totally different compared to Hilton Head. It was quiet at night, felt very safe. The house has a great layout and plenty of room for our family of four. Kitchen was stocked with everything needed to cook (if you wanted), beds were comfortable, and the place was clean. Only thing i would have liked better would have been Keurig for coffee. I struggled with the machine there but that was probably user error. Overall, We had a great time. Thanks,

Hard Reset on Daufuskie

Lovely cottage with all of the modern amenities, but a world away on Daufuskie Island. Disconnect and breathe in the fresh air. Quick walk to the beach. Fun riding the included golf cart all over the island. Hosts available and responsive. We will be back!

Kurt and I are finally official ISLANDERS. While we have travelled and lived all over the United States, from Minnesota, Colorado, and Montana to Georgia and most recently the NC Mountains we have just finished our permanent residence on Daufuskie Island. He as a utility contractor and me as community manager stay pretty busy, but we both find time to volunteer with the Humane Society and SENC RESCUE - a group dedicated to rescuing Newfoundlands. Our family of two Newfies, 2 cats, and a goofy little terrier mix keeps us on our toes and we enjoying spending our free time with the furry family.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

Years ago when we were living in Savannah, Ga we visited Daufuskie Island. It scored our hearts then and when we returned in 2015 to celebrate a big birthday we knew we wanted to make the island our second home. In 2017 we were blessed with the opportunity to make this little cottage our own and we couldn't be happier! The respite the island offers is priceless. To me, its where luxury meets wilderness and everyone should experience the Daufuskie Island mantra of "You're on island time now" :)

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

The cottage puts us directly on the ocean with a view of Hilton Head Island to the north and Tybee Island to the south; and the vast horizon in between. Being in the resort area of Melrose also means we get to meet and greet many of the guests to the island and make new friends. A short cart ride and we can watch the sunset with our friends at Old Daufuskie Crab Company and return to home to ocean breeze and screen porch sittin'. It just doesn't get any better and we're truly excited to open our cottage to others.
