The property was as expected. It is on the ocean front, it's clean and has everything that you need to have a fantastic time on the island. We stayed for a week that was very relaxing and enjoyable. We'll be back! The property is highly recommended for your stay on Daufuskie Island.

Great Vacation

This place made for an awesome vacation. No traffic, beach was not over crowed. A 10 out of 10. Would repeat this trip every year. Didn’t want to leave!

Charming Beach Cottage

This beachfront home is a find! It is exactly as pictured. Steps from the beach, with a great front porch overlooking the ocean. Everything is in great condition - linens, towels, furniture… The property management was very responsive and provided great information about groceries, ferry and land transportation. Will definitely come back.

Great Experience

This property was very clean and beautiful. The management company was great with communication and very accommodating to us. The entire process was seamless. Our family spent a lot of quality time relaxing to the sound of the waves.

A beautiful ocean front half cottage on Daufuskie Island. Very relaxing stay away from the noise of the big city. Empty beaches at this time. Water is warm, but not clear.Amenities provided all essentials. Very clean place.Will be back at some time...

Paradise away from home

The Beachcomber was very comfortable and up-dated. We enjoyed the porch overlooking the ocean with two ceiling fans. We spent much of our time relaxing and enjoying the scenery. This was our second trip to Daufuskie Island and we plan to return next year. The accommodations were as described. A great place to spend a week for relaxation and being in touch with nature.

First time on Dafuski

My friends and I were so lucky to get this property!!! The home is spotless, beautiful and the ocean is right out the back door. If we weren’t on the beach we were on the back porch. The beach is perfect! No crowds, no stress! The low tide would be amazing for children to run and play. We explored the island some but it was hard to tear ourselves away from the property. If you get the chance - GO! We will definitely go back!!!

Overall stay was good, a little hiccups with appliance such as the refrigerator and golf cart provided was old and seriously deteriorated. No side nor rear view mirrors. Communication is excellent with the management team.

We had the best week here! The house was beautiful and comfortable. The proximity to the beach was fabulous. We enjoyed exploring the island on the golf cart. We had everything we needed for a fabulous vacation.

Beach trip

Great place right at the ocean. House was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. When I needed information property manager got right back to me. Definitely would go back!

Beautiful cottage on ocean front

Friendly locals, interesting historical facts, fun time driving around on the golf cart visiting independent businesses like the Iron Fish and other shops. Will be back again without a doubtl!

Great spot on a beach to yourself or with your pups!

The house is truly steps from the beach with some great trees for Enos! We spent several afternoons swaying in the ocean breezes and napping to the sound of the surf. We loved long walks with the company of our dogs playing in the surf and chasing the birds. Sitting on the beach with only a few other families and seeing crowded Hilton Head across the horizon sharing the same surf was delightful. The house itself was just the right-size with 3 teen boys! The island makes you slow-down and enjoy time together. We’ve fallen in love with Daufuskie!

Wonderful Historical Place

My husband and I traveled to Daufuskie Island for the first time. The ferry ride was wonderful and they know their stuff! Our cottage was beautiful with a view to match. Let me first compliment Deborah Smith for her assistance and excellent overview of the cottage, island, things to see, and generally anything we needed to know!! The cottage was clean and comfy. People on the island were really wonderful, from the transportation people to the golf cart people and anyone else who wanted to make sure we had a wonderful first trip to the island. The two restaurants were great-I must really call out Lucy Bell's for their mouthwatering food and kind manner. I must really suggest going to Daufuskie Blues, School Grounds, and the rum distillery. We still didn't get to see everything I wanted, but that is what second, third, fourth, etc. trips are for. Can't want to come back. Go to Daufuskie Island - it is great!!!

Perfect relaxing getaway

Our family of four came to Daufuskie for Thanksgiving and really enjoyed our time. We didn’t leave the house on Thursday with bad weather, but the house was perfect for lounging around and cooking our Thanksgiving meal. The rest of the weekend we got out and enjoyed the beach and the use of the golf cart and explored the island. Our dog got to join us and he loved it as well.
