Lovely condo! Tile in Kitchen, dining and bath areas. The unit is approximately 850 SF. It is best suited for 4 but can accommodate up to 6. It is completely turnkey and furnished, ready for your get-a-way. Amenities include primary bedroom with king-size bed, and separate bath, Queen bed
in den/living area allowing room to convert into a second-style bedroom. There is also a sofa bed that may be used. 2nd bath and shower off hallway. Enjoy sitting outside to the sound of chirping, birds, or simply relax in the living room area. Our condo also houses a washer/dryer, dishwasher, and additional appliances to make a lovely culinary experience. Beach chairs, mats, towels, cold bag for beach and travel, air mattress available. Lanai faces a lovely golf course with the sound of tropical birds. Great parking, lower level, elderly and family-friendly. Pool and small exercise room are also available for your enjoyment.

Keauhou Palena is located approximately just 12 minutes south of Historic Kailua Village. This complex is surrounded by lush vegetation and the area was once occupied by the Ali'i (royal families) Amazing Keauhou Bay is just minutes walking distance away. There, you can take a dip, swim, paddle, or partake of the many excursions available on the island.

Nearby shopping at Keauhou Shopping Center is just a few minutes up the road with groceries, Longs, cinema, restaurants, stores, Farmers' market on Saturday, complementary Polynesian show on most Friday evenings at 6 PM.

SNORKELING can be found just a few minutes north at Kahalu'u Beach. You might even find a sea turtle swimming nearby! This beach has swimming, surfing, BBQ grills, and lifeguard available. Always watch for current tide advisories.
In addition, continue north, another few minutes where you can swim and boogie board!

This is a great location to simply enjoy some rest and relaxation or be as active as you like!

Our host Gladys was very welcoming. Our unit was provided with everything we needed for a lovely stay. We especially liked its location, just minutes walk to a secluded cove for enjoying the ocean. Also close to the Outrigger farmers market.

Great location!

Lovely place to stay on a beautiful golf course. Well stocked house and all the amenities. I would easily stay here again.

Owner made our stay very nice.

Excellent stock of kitchen utensils, beds comfortable, furniture dated but okay. Location very good. Owner was very responsive and made sure our stay was as nice as could be.

Cheap and cheerful condo well located for adventures in Kona. It fit 6 of us (4 adults, 2 children) reasonably well. Parking two cars was easy. There is a supermarket 2 minutes away. The internet was fast and consistent. The backyard patio is very peaceful (except for the occasional sound of golfballs being struck). The pool looked lovely but we did not get to use it because it closes at sunset. Gladys was a very welcoming and warm host.

Private community, Corner unit had private lanai facing west. Within walking distance to local stores, relatively close to all activities that we had scheduled. Private pool, well maintained grounds.

Nice stay

Newer appliances and a well stocked kitchen made preparing meals simple. It can heat up during the day, so the fans provided were a help. We enjoyed watching the wildlife from the back porch and soaking up the beauty.

Comfortable and a great location.

Nice and clean and comfortable bed. Plenty of supplies. Lovely private back yard area with nice furniture. Excellent washer and dryer. Owner is very helpful. Right on the Kona golf course but still private. Parking is close to the entry. Took walks down to the ocean every day. Lovely pool. Close to shopping. Recommended for couples to enjoy.

Perfect place to stay in Keauhou!

This was my first time traveling during the pandemic. My Covid test results were delayed so I had to get retested, which delayed my trip. Gladys was very understanding and accommodating and I appreciate her generosity! She was very attentive to my emails before my trip, as well as my texts during my trip. The condo was very clean and fully stocked! It is in a quiet and private location with shopping and farmers markets nearby. After I checked out, I realized I left something behind. Gladys was gracious enough to meet up with me to hand off my belongings. Thank you, Gladys for a wonderful stay!

Best hospitality!!

Gladys is a wonderful owner with amazing hospitality!! I own a timeshare and was not able to use it this weekend and have also stayed in many other condos and resorts. We were surprised to see many extras I have never gotten in other condos. She left us with some delicious fruit, all of the little thoughtful amenities missing from other condos such as extra linen, air bed, lots of towels, body boards, even stocked with kitchen supplies such and plastic wrap, foil and ziplock bags! Gladys let us know what time we were able to check in (earlier than we expected) and asked if I would like the pullout bed opened up. I answered and said that I did. She called later that night to apologize about not receiving my email on time and offered to stop by to help us. It must have been almost 9pm at night. I just felt everything from start to finish was above and beyond in the hospitality department!! Thank you Gladys!! She’s the best!!

A peaceful place to stay with all the comforts of home!

We stayed in January 2017. The things I liked best about the condo were that it is very private, we didn't have to go up any stairs, the assigned parking spot was close to the front door, the condo was extremely well stocked with kitchen items, linens, and beach gear, and the condo and resort grounds were nicely maintained. The condo is an end unit and is tucked up against shrubs on one side and a golf course behind the condo. This makes it very private. The king size bed is very comfortable. The condo was very clean. The condo is within walking distance of a KTA grocery store and shops and restaurants. It is also within walking distance of Keahou Bay where you can take cruises or snorkeling tours (and great sunsets). The farmers market on Saturdays in the shopping center parking lot was very good. There is also a farmers market at the Sheraton on Fridays and Saturdays that was more of a gift market (not any produce). The beach gear included beach towels, two camping chairs, two boogie boards, noodles, beach mats, and some snorkeling masks. There is also a bath mat provided that we used to line the trunk of our car to try to keep the trunk clean. Gladys has really thought of everything! We didn’t need to use the air conditioning since the condo has several ceiling fans and a pedestal fan. The condo cooled right down once the sun went down with the patio doors open since it is on the ground floor. We did not use the pool since there were too many other places to visit during the day and the pool is closed after sunset. One tip for travelers: Bring re-usable bags for groceries. Stores do not supply plastic shopping bags (most have paper bags though). We went to Walmart and were very surprised that they did not provide any bags for our groceries. They were even sold out of re-usable bags. The other tip is that if you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs since the golf course sprinkler system comes on in the middle of the night and it woke us up. We never met Gladys but we communicated by texting and she always got back to me quickly when I had questions. I would recommend this condo to anyone visiting Kona and would definitely stay there again. It is a very good value and is truly a very relaxing and comfortable place to stay.

Comfortable and convenient

What a beautiful and convenient place to stay while exploring the Kailua Kona area! This condo was beautifully decorated with all of the extras (snorkel gear, beach towels, kitchen accessories) to make it easy to feel at home. The Keauhou Shopping center was very convenient and packed full of places to get necessities (KTA grocery store), extras (yummy crepes, Hawaiian BBQ, independent book store, etc) as well as cultural events (lei making and hula performance). Our kids loved swimming in the pool and playing in the back yard. The only minor drawback is that it is a condo in a 4 unit building. The neighbors were mostly very quiet, but being used to living in a house, we had to adjust to the noises from people with different schedules than ours.

Wonderful home away from home!

Bright, cheery, clean and comfortable condo, with a spacious kitchen, 2 bathrooms and a nice king-sized bed for great sleeping-air conditioner in bedroom, 2 ceiling fans in main area plus cross ventilation through screened doors. The condo provided everything we needed for a wonderful stay (including a cooler, beach towels, and chairs for outings!). Washer/dryer was a real plus! A good location, felt private and safe, pool was great, very close to a shopping center, restaurants, theater and farmer's markets just up the hill. The bay was a nice short walk (or drive) just down the hill, great for a dip in the ocean. Enjoyed having coffee in the mornings on the back patio, looking at all the flowers and palms and listening to the birds. Gladys provided us real warm gracious hospitality, and we thank her for such a great experience. Mahalo!

Perfect stay at Kahaluu-Keauhou

This was an absolutely wonderful experience. The condo location is perfect - 5 min to the shore with perfect opportunity for an evening stroll and sunset. Condo fully equipped and has everything you need. Our family (two adults and two teenage boys) felt right at home were we found everything that required for comfortable stay at Big Island. Parking space was right at the door and fully secure. Gladys was so helpful and welcomed us as old friends. We will recommend this condo to our friends and already looking forward to visit it again!.

Great Condo, Great Location

This condo was perfect. It was very comfortably furnished. Loved having the washer dryer and the full kitchen. Great to have the BBQ on the lanai. The location is great. Very quiet and peaceful. The grounds of the complex are really nice too. Gladys has thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. We will definitely be back. We come over twice a year and are happy that we have found a new rental that we love.

Darling condo in a beautiful location!

My fiance' and I stayed at this condo during our first trip to Hawaii. It was SO much nicer than staying at a hotel! We felt very much at home and really enjoyed the location, quiet atmosphere and beautiful landscaping. Having a washer and dryer readily available was wonderful and being able to cook our own food saved on expenses and made us feel more at home. We enjoyed having coffee and breakfast on the patio while listening to the birds sing. Watching the lizards and gecko's run around was amusing as well! The air conditioning unit in the Master bedroom was greatly appreciated. Our parking was free and the spot was located right outside our door. The condo itself was darling; very clean with bright colors. Grocery stores and shops were right down the road and sightseeing adventures were right outside our door! Gladys made us feel very welcome, like we were friends already. I have already recommended this property to my parents, who are looking at coming out next year. We will definitely make reservations with Gladys for this property again in the future :)

Perfect vacation rental for those who are looking for something different than a hotel.

Simply put, I really enjoyed my stay. I wanted to try something different than saying at some of the hotels in the Kona area, and to my surprise, it was a good change. The rental is located in a nice area and faces a golf course. The place is clean, and it does not seem like there are many people around, so the place is nice and quiet. The furnishings are wonderful, along with the kitchen and the master bedroom and bathroom. This gives off a "warm Hawaiian" feel which I did not receive in other places I stayed. I would diffidently recommend this to someone, and expect to see me again.

Our oasis

We stayed many places on our trip and this was by far the best: the amount of space was wonderful, the bed was the most comfortable, the whole place was clean and quiet. The detail the owner had put into providing everything needed was wonderful.
