Nestled in the serene and secluded setting of a full acre of Ponderosa pines in the Prescott National Forest with mountain views, guests can unwind in the peaceful surroundings and enjoy the charming decor throughout. With modern amenities like WiFi, AC, and flat screen TVs, new gas fireplace, along with cozy touches like a hair dryer, a hot tub on the lower of two decks, fire pit, horse shoe pit, and a recently resurfaced pool table in the loft, your stay will be comfortable and relaxing. You're sure to make fantastic memories with a stay at our place. Property is frequently visited by herd of deer that beds down in the adjacent forest.

Great stay! If they could have controlled the wind it would have been better lol. Daily visitors, wild turkeys, deer and javelinas made it more amazing. Thank you Eric and family.

We had so much fun at the cabin. We loved the views and the wild life. The cabin was clean and well supplied. The host was helpful and thoughtful. It was a great home base for exploring AZ and visiting the Grand Canyon.

The cabin was nice and cozy. It has all the amenities that you could need. We especially enjoyed the deer and turkeys that came to visit. The scenery is amazing!

We had a wonderful, restful stay at Ponderosa Retreat.Eric is a fantastic host in every way. The home and its setting in Prescott National Forest were just what we needed for an escape from the summer heat.We chose mid-August for the annual Perseid meteor shower, and the top-level deck was perfect for late-night viewing. Although cloudy nighttime weather occasionally interrupted our view, the show in the sky was still amazing!During the day, the wildlife put on its own show, with deer, turkeys, and javelina visiting nearby. The home is well-appointed and beyond comfortable, and the new hot tub was probably the best one I’ve ever enjoyed!Prescott, with all it has to offer, is an easy drive down the mountain. The forest was peaceful and very relaxing. We could not be happier with our stay at Ponderosa Retreat.

Eric’s cabin did not disappoint for my family’s AZ Christmas getaway. Plenty of hiking to do in the area and the animal watching was amazing at the cabin. Eric was a great host and very quick to respond!

This cabin was amazing and the views are beautiful. It was very clean and has everything you would need. Awesome place! The host was very easy to communicate with. We had a great rime and would definitely come back.

This is my second time staying here and defenitly not my last. I have stayed at other locations in prescott and have yet to find a place that delivers on serentiy and peace like this place does. Will defenitly be back. Thanks again for the outstanding hospitality!!

The cabin is in a quiet and peaceful area. There is wildlife all around. The neighbors are out of sight. The views are spectacular. All the amenities that were advertised were available. The cabin was comfortable, clean, and very well situated. A 10 out of 10, for sure.

The house was cute and had a lot of potential, but unfortunately, the cleanliness was very disappointing. There were cobwebs in nearly every lamp and chandelier, broken blinds, and the pantry area where the coffee maker was kept was covered in dirt and grime, with a dead spider smashed on the wall. Many of the dishes and most of the silverware still had food residue on them, so I had to wash everything before we could use it. The refrigerator and freezer were also old and dingy. Additionally, the neighbors played extremely loud music, which significantly disrupted the peace and enjoyment of our stay. With a thorough deep cleaning and a few basic repairs, this could be a very nice place, but it did not feel properly cleaned or prepared for guests.

I'm sorry you had a uniquely mixed experience with our cabin, Bridgitte. Jessica has been cleaning my property for many years and she (and I) take great pride in its upkeep, as I believe is reflected by every other review ever submitted being 10/10. While I have replaced to microwave, oven and dishwasher just this year, you are correct that the refrigerator is older....but has consistently cooled our guest food. While bugs and spiders are impossible to completely eliminate in a cabin deep in the woods, we will take your constructive criticism to heart! Thank you for taking the time to provide it.

Wonderfully Relaxing Stay

My family and I were needing some much-needed relaxation away from the city lights, and this cabin was everything and more that we needed! The sound of the wind through the trees, the hot tub, and countless stars were so healing. Plus, it had all the amenities that you (and a two-year-old) would need. The host was great to work with and had great communication. We cannot wait to be back!

Check-in was easy, owner communicated details ahead of arrival we had no problems. Kitchen does not have much counter space, but kitchen supplies are plentiful and appliances are clean and worked great. Highlight of the stay was amount wildlife encounters. A small herd of deer passed by the back porch every morning and evening

Great Spot, Good Views

Check in was a tad confusing, but I have to say the property manager did a good job of staying in communication. They allowed us to adjust the AC to our liking, and the house was stunning inside. Even though it was warm outside, there was always shade to sit in on the porch. We will for sure be back in the winter!

This property is first class. Tastefully decorated, comfortable & well equipped. Owners were very gracious. Deer, javelinas & turkeys wandered past the windows. View was amazing & location was perfect for access to hiking, lakes & downtown Prescott. Truly a gem.
