Well... the location is great! Upon entering this unit we were severely disappointed. At the very least a clean, functional, well-maintained place and an adherence to the written and photographic description in the online listing is a minimum. This place is neglected. The living area sliding door facing the beach in the photo online displayed a glass door with a door covering. It wasn't there. No privacy whatsoever. We inquired of the host and her response was that the owner said that people keep tearing it up so he removed it. After dark you are on full display. The upstairs bedroom had a partial blind that almost covered half the siding door. Again, FULLY EXPOSED TO THE BEACH AT NIGHT! The 2 recliners listed were electric and inoperable. Both. One was stuck half up, the other was folded down, neither would function. After complaining the host offered to send someone over, and I did decline the offer. The ice maker listed was non existent. A refrigerator with no installed ice maker. The carpets were dirty & stained. Bathroom doors and cabinets were raw, sanded wood, no paint. Wall and trim paint peeling off. Soap dispenser on sink broken in half but propped up. Sand washing hose did not work, no washing feet. We arrived right before Hurricane Isaias and had to evacuate and are still fighting for a refund of unused time, WHICH VRBO INSTRUCTED THEM TO ISSUE WITHIN 48 HRS, and they have refused. RENT THIS UNIT AT YOUR PERIL. We go twice annually and this is the worst unit ever.
