Located at the top of the hill on the northside (next to Aaron's Windy Hill Bed 'n Breakfast, across from The Lodge), this home has a newly renovated kitchen, freshly painted interior, and deocrated in a cottage/beach style.

Park your car for the week and walk to everything: enjoy maginificent sunsets over Lake Michigan, just one block away, as well as a public access beach to Lake Michigan.

Two 4/5 star restaurants sit at the base of the hill on the Pine River Channel. Take a morning stroll to the cafe/bakery just across the bridge. Take the wagon and do your grocery shopping at Oleson's, just downtown.

Spend your evenings eating ice cream as you stroll along the docks enjoying the beautiful boats and concerts in the park.

Hilltop Cottage is our new Happy Place!

I have only the best things to say about our stay at Hilltop Cottage. The entire experience exceeded any and all expectations! Hilltop Cottage had everything we needed (and then some), the location is out-of-this world and the host made the check-in/check-out process extremely simple and straightforward. The house has so much charm and truly felt like a home-away-from-home for our few days there. We thoroughly enjoyed playing board games, drinking coffee on the porch, campfires at night and being able to be downtown in a matter of minutes. Hilltop Cottage is our new Happy Place and we cannot wait to book our next trip!

Great stay

We love visiting Charlevoix and staying at the Hilltop Cottage. It is always clean and well stocked with the necessities. You can easily walk into town and enjoy the beaches, dining, and shopping.

Gorgeous location

Beautiful lake house, loved walking to the beach and into town. Perfect for our family (4 kids, ages 6 - 17) had all the beach supplies we needed. We also loved having coffee on the porch every morning.

The place was a great location and had a lot of amenities to the house. Including bicycles and beach chairs and spacious parking. Love they had beach towels for everybody.

Cute Cottage, great location!

We loved staying here! We were in town for a wedding and didn’t have a lot of down time so it was great exploring in the pockets of time we had! Literally 5 minute walk or drive. Comfy and clean!

We loved this house in Charlevoix! The location was great, we could walk to downtown and to Michigan beach. The house was clean with plenty of room for my husband, daughter, son-in-law and 22 month old grandson. Beautiful back yard! Would definitely stay here again.

Hilltop Cottage Marathon weekend

Perfect location and home for families and small groups. We had 4 adults and 3 children (ages 4-14). The home is comfortable with plenty of space for meals and games in the dinning room and outside. We used the grill on site, lemonade stand and backyard. It is a short walk to the beach, grocery store, playground and shopping downtown. This was our second year staying at Hilltop and we will definitely come back next year.

MI vacation

Really enjoyed our stay in Charlevoix. Having several young children, we loved the nice big fenced in yard! The location was great too! Easy walk to Lake Michigan and downtown.

Easy walk to downtown

The sun porch is a great place to enjoy morning coffee. Very clean and a convenient location. Several restaurants and shops withing easy walking distance and just a short drive to a very nice beach. Upstairs bathroom is a bit small.

Everything we hoped for and more!

I was the star of our sister's trip having found this gem in Charlevoix. We could easily walk to everything - shopping, coffee, the beach, etc. We loved to walk to the bridge and watch the sunset. A great base to visit Mackinac Island, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Petoskey. But the best part was getting back to the cottage for wine and talk on the front porch. Would book again in a minute!

Family vacation

We had a lovely stay at this house. The location is perfect for walking into town and the beach. Our teens loved the autonomy its proximity offered them. I was concerned that it was going to be too hot in the upstairs bedrooms but fans were provided and positioned near the AC vent, which kept it cool. Towels, beach towels, paper products, hand and dish soap were provided which was helpful. I loved spending time on the front porch in the morning and evenings. The house was equipped with everything that we needed. Thanks for sharing your home with us. We fell in love with Charlevoix!

Lovely lakeside town

I selected this property to stay at during the Charlevoix race weekend. This was the first time I had been to Charlevoix. It was a perfect location not only for race proximity, but also just a walk across the drawbridge to stores and restaurants. Our group would love to come back and stay at this property again. There was more than enough room for our families to enjoy this time together.

Wonderful Experience

Great house with a view directly down the road from downtown Charlevoix. Quick walk to anything in town and enjoyed the drawbridge with my 4 year old daughter who loved the boats. Quick trip to multiple beaches and many things to do in the area. Loved staying here and would strongly consider returning for future family vacations.

Adorable house, great location

Easy walk to town and the beach, spotless, well equipped. It was perfect. Zero complaints. I still miss coffee on the front porch. Charlevoix is also wonderful. Looking forward to returning.

Great Charlevoix location

Great location to visit Charlevoix. Walking distance to everything you need - beach, restaurants, grocery store, ice cream, coffee shops - or lounge in the shaded backyard or people watch in the front sitting room. Very tidy and plenty of room. Top of the list for our next visit.

Great location!

We had a great stay here. House was in a great location to walk to downtown and the beach. A/c worked great. Porch was so nice to enjoy morning coffee and late night drinks. Owners were easy to contact and quick to remedy a small issue we had with the bathroom. Kotchen was well stocked. Would stay here again!

Lovely & convenient to downtown Charlevoix

Girls get-a-way week in Charlevoix. We all appreciated losing the dependence on our cars and being able to walk everywhere around town. We did take a couple of day trips (Mackinac Island and Alden for the 2nd Annual Torch Lake Whitefish Festival) that were easy destinations to reach from Hilltop Cottage. Second time staying here and would gladly stay here again in the future.

Amazing location

We rented this house for one week for a family of 5. The location is perfect: 2 walking minutes from downtown Charlevoix, Depot beach very close. The house was very clean and very well organized. I liked the fact that linen, towels, laundry products and cleaning products were included in the rental. We felt at home immediately.
