This was our first time in Grand Lake and this space was perfect for our family vacation. The property was clean and well stocked for our week long stay. The hosts were quick to respond to our questions about the fire ban and amenities. We hope to come back again!

This was the second time we've stayed at Thompson Lodge. The host was always prompt with communication, the house was exceptionally well maintained, and the proximity to Grand Lake and RMNP was great. We even got to see a deer in the front yard one morning.

Very peaceful location close to historic town of Grand Lake. Excellent location for hike at RMNP where you can spot a lot of the wildlife. Home was immaculate clean. I wish there was a coffee pots for the first morning.

Weekend Getaway

Great location for our trip to Grand Lake, Rocky Mountain National Park, and the surrounding area. Would stay here again if coming to the Grand Lake area.

We loved staying in the cabin! It was clean and there was plenty of room for all of us to spend time together when we were there.

Wonderful home for our week long vacation for our family of 5 - plenty of space and sleeping areas for everyone. Close to everything, yet off the beaten path so it was private and quiet. All the windows provide beautiful views. Home was very clean and provided everything we could possibly need. We enjoyed the game cabinet and had a fun night in with pizza and some friendly competition. Will definitely stay again!

Wonderful Stay!

Had a wonderful stay! house was very clean and comfortable. Thr kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. Watching the sun come up in the mornings out the big picture windows was amazing. It was a really nice place to come into after our ventures every day.

Nice & relaxing

Had a wonderful stay at Grand Lake in the Thompson Lodge - house was clean and welcoming, we had a small hiccup with sheets for the fold out bed that was fixed within an hour of our arrival. Overall a wonderful property & we would stay there again!

Large spacious cabin / House

The Cabin / house was very spacious, clean, and well equipped with most everything we needed. Only five minutes from town. Very peaceful !

Excellent base camp for RMNP

We absolutely loved this home. It was bright comfortable and spotless. Great location for going into RMNP. Quiet location in the woods. Lots of wildlife. I would highly recommend this home and we plan to stay here next time we come to Colorado

Spacious home on beautiful property

We enjoyed the large deck outside. The house updates are very nice and well done. We loved the large windows and views and watched deer and a moose grazing in the backyard. Would definitely book again.

Wonderful, clean and such a relaxing getaway

We loved our time here. We spent a week with my parents, my aunt and uncle and my husband and me. We truly felt so relaxed and comfortable. Our host left instructions which were clear and we could tell that it was important to them that we enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much for a summer vacation that we will always remember as a wonderful time to spend time with family.

2nd stay here!

Our stay was just as amazing as last year when we first stayed here. We were disappointed that we could not use the fire place this time, but understand due to the forest fire risk. We love the little shops in Gand Lake downtown area. And the town of Winter Park with all its restaurants, community center, indoor swimming pool, bowling, and ice skating! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us again!

House was very comfortable. Area immediately around house was fair, but nondescript. Close to western entrance to the park. Need to go to Granby, 20 -30 minutes away for supermarket.

Grand Lake

Loved the house and location. Only thing disappointing was grill was not working. Only 1/2 the burners worked toward the back and non in front.

Spacious, comfortable, clean

Lovely home, very spacious and clean. Comfortable furniture. I would definitely stay here again. No A/C which was a little adjustment for us during afternoons and at night, but most windows can be easily opened and fans made it comfortable. We enjoyed the upstairs loft where we could watch movies as a family. Also liked the spacious areas to sit and drink morning coffee. Location is fantastic, only a few minutes drive to access the RMNP and Grand Lake.

Best vacation rental we've ever had

Thompson Lodge was far and away the best vacation rental we've ever had in15 years. The floorplan was fabulous (it would be a great house for a large group to stay). There were plenty of kitchen countertops to prepare meals. The house was clean and fully stocked with extra towels, pillows and blankets. The ceiling fans, along with opening the windows, kept the house plenty cool, even with above the average temperatures Colorado was experiencing. The house was fairly private and a short drive to Grand Lake and RMNP.
