This is an awesome cottage! The perfect place to escape the bustle of normal life and immerse yourselves in nature. It’s completely secluded, but not that far off the beaten path, and the view is incredible - well worth the trip down the stairs. Amenities were great and we had everything we needed for a week’s getaway - especially appreciated the beach gear, fully equipped kitchen, and well functioning bathroom (decent water pressure). Highly recommended!

House has everything you need. It was clean, well supplied and had beautiful views as their pictures showed. The hosts replied right away to every question. We’ll definitely be back.

We loved everything about our stay. The host gave great instructions on how to get there (a Jeep or similar vehicle is a must for the last stretch). The place has everything one needs but is not cluttered. It’s clean. Have a cup of coffee while sitting out on the deck. We cannot wait to come back. THANK YOU!!

The views from the property were absolutely beautiful, well located for most amenities across St John. Emily the property manager was extremely timely and efficient in communicating with us which was appreciated. Owner Melissa was swift in reimbursing us after our arrival was delayed due to the closure of Carribean airspace.

Outstanding view and awesome hosts. There are a lot of stairs, 74, but well worth it. The view and the cottage itself are unbeatable!!! The place is brand new and there is everything you need; grill, stove, oven, fridge coffeemaker, TV…and did I mention the view? OMG!Props to Anthony who saved my day when I got a flat tire. He came and not only helped take it off but fixed it right there on the mountain, disaster avoided. I will definitely try to come to this place again!

This is a beautiful property with a breathtaking view. It looks brand new and comes fully stcked with everything you would need, and emily the property manager was great. Make sure you are repared for the remoteness of this cabin. You absolutely will need a car you will have to practically beg taxi drvers to take you there. There are almost 5 flights of stairs down to the cabin from the driveway and if something goes wrong (power goes out or flat tire) you are very far away from help. With all that being said if you are prepared and adventurous it will be an incredible experience

I couldn’t love this property more!! The view is unparalleled and the inside was well appointed and very cozy with everything I needed. The host Emily was an excellent communicator. She answered all of my questions before my trip very thoroughly so my mind was at ease knowing every detail of my travel and stay at the rental were taken care of. Emily also promptly answered any questions I had during my visit. The island of St. John is very unique and there are many aspects that are unfamiliar for a novice to navigate. She helped me figure out all sorts of things and made my visit very pleasant and smooth even when the unexpected arose. The stairs pictured at the end of the listing descend from the parking space to the entrance. Packing light and packing so you can carry things on your back is the way to go. As a payoff for the view it was absolutely worth the trouble and if you are in reasonable shape it is not a big deal. I found that bringing a headlamp flashlight and a power brick charger for my phone were very helpful. The power on St. John is not reliable at all times and having those items really helped me adapt. The water does not work in a power outage either. So having a bag of ice in the freezer to pack around cold items (a cold bag is provided) and a few gallons of water at the ready is all you need to get through. If you have an adventurous spirit, this is the place for you! St. John is a never ending adventure & this property is perfection.

Perfect little cottage for a couple to relax with a beautiful view and excellent breeze. Truly newly renovated, very clean, well-appointed with all the things you might need while there (spices, nice cookware, great towels, brand new dishes/cutlery, generous shampoo/condition/body wash, nice beach towels, light throw blankets, even an XL dry bag that doubled well as a backpack cooler). The AC works so well it barely had to run so they must have insulated quite well in the renovation which made a peaceful and comfortable sleep each night. It is tucked away 1 mile off the main road to make it convenient to access, but in a quiet spot. Dirt driveway access and parking are a bit rustic, but normal for STJ and better than the super steep driveways that some locations have- we found it easier to come and go from here than some other spots we have stayed in the past. We were trying to think of anything to suggest and could only come up with a comfy outdoor couch for one empty corner of the deck to truly lounge outdoors but they do have adirondack and bar stools already - really can't say they didn't try to think of everything. We truly enjoyed our stay!
