This was a very good location for families that are flying in and then want to go to Sea World, San Diego Zoo/Safari and its museums. Very easy in and out. Plus the beach was lovely for relaxation.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay. Communication was excellent. The first morning we had issues with the wifi that were taken care of right away, which was great, because we didn't have very good cell signal anywhere nearby. There is no air conditioning, but more than enough fans to cool the place off. We ate outside most of the time and the little fans to keep the flies off of the food worked so great that I bought a set when I got home. The kitchen is fully stocked with glasses, appliances, pots, serving dishes, and even a several sets of children's dishes/cups. There were plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, and sand toys for a day at the beach. The location can't be beat. Just off the strand so it's quiet at night, but close enough that you can haul everything down to the sand and not be exhausted. Walking distance to taco shops, a couple of bars, and surf shop. We really had a great time and hope that we can return again soon. Thanks for helping make it a wonderful family vacation.

This was a perfect location for our needs this week. super close to the beach with plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy our family. The host was very responsive when there was a small issue with the water filter. Billy responded within a few minutes and sent a handyman out to fix the problem. Very easy and helpful. Highly recommend!

We absolutely love our stay at this Mission Beach gem! The ocean was visible from the house and it was just a short walk to the beach - a perfect location to be close to the action but enough away to have a little bit of privacy from the hustle and bustle of the actual beach walk.The house is fully stocked with anything you may need (and done so tastefully may I add) - from the kitchen to the bathroom to the bedrooms. We did not lack anything we needed. The lay out is awesome for a larger group - we had 7 women and we all felt like we had a good amount of privacy, sleeping space and hanging out space. We loved that there was a good stock of beach chairs that we could borrow and use - made it so easy to enjoy the beach. The house just has GOOD VIBES and we loved it!

The house was absolutely fantastic!! More than we expected. Perfect location!!!

I would rent here again. By far the best I have stayed to date in San Diego. It was like home away from home, with amazing comfortable beds.

Another week at the Whalen beach houe

This was our 4th Thankgiving week at the beach house. Every amenity you could want and a great location Coming back again for sure.

Great Beach House

Our family of 5 loved our stay here. Close to the beach, spacious house with room for everyone. We especially liked the rooftop with views of the ocean. Hope to stay here again sometime!
