Shoalwater Condominiums is awesome with plenty of amenities to enjoy including; an outdoor pool, indoor pool, outdoor kiddie pool, tennis courts, fitness room, grilling area, outdoor shower, indoor hot tub and fantastic boardwalk to the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Location is great as well, close to shopping, dining, and lots of fun in the sun. Some activities include: charter fishing boats, boat & jet ski rentals, Para-sailing, dolphin cruises, sunset sailboat cruises, beautiful back bays for boating, tubing, skiing and fishing, amusement parks, great restaurants with entertainment for all ages, golf, outlet malls, shopping, live concerts at The Wharf Amphitheater, and of course, plenty of powder-white sand. You will not be disappointed nor will you find this level of luxury anywhere for this price!

We enjoyed our stay very much. Staff was very helpful. The condo was clean and comfortable. There was plenty of room for 6 adults and a toddler. Facilities were very nice. Especially enjoyed the pools.

Everything was great, except outdoor pool was being resurfaced. A whole week for repairs.

Great Condo!

The condo was perfect for our family vacation. Enjoyed the facilities and the beach. Plenty space for 6 adults and 1 toddler. The pools were wonderful! Quiet and comfortable. Our only complaints were that the bed in the master was extremely soft and the dryer did not stop running when opened. But those were minor things.

Great location

The condo was great and in a good location. However the rental company Gulf Coast getaways was unresponsive once they were paid. My emails and phone calls were not returned.

Great location

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Plus side is this is a great location and only steps from the beach. Negative side is there was sand in the beds, floors were very dirty, hair clogging bath tub drains, and there was no ice (no ice maker).

We will address the tile floors and have them steam cleaned since they do take quite a lot of traffic during the busy summer season. We have found most people don't realize how much sand they have on their feet and legs when they jump in bed and it falls off on the sheets but we are glad to drop off more sheets if you let us know. Always feel free to give us a call if you have issues with drains and we will be right out. They do get a lot of sand in them as you can imagine. Keep us in mind for your next trip down. Great location and well maintained property!

We enjoyed being right on the beach, of course. Access was easy. The entire property was spotless and beautiful, from pool to landscaping to walkways. I didn’t cook one time, so I could not speak to much in the kitchen other than storage. :) The only complaint we had was the fact that walkway lights shine bright into the guest bedroom, even with the blinds closed. A nice upgrade to the unit would be blinds that really darken the rooms at night. Thanks for a great stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Shoalwater was the perfect place for a girls trip getaway. The condo was cute and clean. I love that Shoalwater is quiet and quaint and has easy access to the beach. The balcony was perfect for coffee time. We wanted a simple relaxing weekend and that is exactly what you will experience at Shoalwater. Our unit had everything we needed. This was my third stay and I will be coming back.

Spacious Beachfront Getaway

We stayed in Unit 902. It was clean upon arrival, though with one vent in the Master Bath unhinged. They did fix it during our stay. The unit was plenty of room for our family of 8, 6 children and 2 adults. The amenities were perfect! Indoor pool area, outdoor pool area and a little wading shallow pool area for younger kids that we all used. I would have given 5 stars if not for the elevator that had no fan or moving air, so was unusually hot inside along with some very loud teenage guests Saturday night that were screaming from the pool at midnight. Sometimes that can't be helped. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time! The location is perfect on the beach and close to everything fun at the beach as well as the best restaurants of Orange Beach. We would book here again!

Construction

The entire building was under construction. The construction worker showed up early and we’re extremely loud. There is dust and debris everywhere! This was not properly listed on the listing. We could not use any of the public facilities including the pool and outdoor spots near the pool due to the construction on every tower.

Just ok

The photos make it look very nice. It’s not. Besides changing the sheets and vacuuming, nothing has been cleaned in some time. The dryer vent was so clogged, the dryer wouldn’t dry. We fixed that. I refused to empty the canister in the vacuum, but it doesn’t wrk bc it’s so dirty. The remote to one tv was missing, the other didn’t wrk. My sister was able to fix the tv which wasn’t working at all when we arrived. A maintenance guy came, shrugged his shoulders and we nvr saw him again. If they cared, it could be nice-ish but since they don’t, it’s on the way to total trash.

Family Vacation

Condo was smaller than the average 3 bed/2 bath condo. The glass on the sliding glass door in the den has some type of film on it so you can't clearly see the gulf or beach. It wasn't dirt because I tried to clean it. Bedroom doors wouldn't close or would have to be slammed to close all the way. The same for the pantry door. Closets were small and packed with old blankets, pillows and vacuums. The kitchen was so small that only 2 people could be in it at a time. The kitchen table only seats 4 and counter 2 people for meals. There weren't enough towels for our family so we called housekeeping. Nobody ever came with more. We wouldn't stay in this condo again. The complex had a nice pool area, BBQ pits, plenty of carts. and there was never a problem with elevators.

Great place

Awesome place. Great access to beach. No noise from other guests. Condo was very nice and comfortable. Loved the balcony for watching ocean while waiting out thunderstorms. Great place for families.
