Loved everything except the shower on top floor was not easiest to use but I know space was a factor. All was perfect for our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at the Red Rose Cottage. The place was updated and very warm and inviting. There's plenty of room for everyone, and we will stay here once we visit this area again.

We enjoyed the park like setting of the historic home, a small bit of nature in Lancaster. Nice sized refrigerator for longer stays. Loved the artistic touches and sense of eclectic architecture. The stories I'm sure these walls could tell... The wooden floors and nature of the older house does mean that voices and sounds will carry from room to room, but that is manageable. The upstairs shower is a bit tight but is still doable for someone 6 foot or so. Would recommend this property to any family.

Super nice host! Very clean and charming Red Rose Cottage! We park between the cottage and the vintage old mill right next to the river. The 3 bedrooms are lovely. The lemon themed kitchen is so fun! Flower lamps, gas fireplace, & creative ideas of a very small workout rm, connected to a hang out room foosball table, bar area. Thankyou for beautiful accommodations!
1st 2 nights beautiful 35-40° This is the rustic old mill

Thank you for shoveling the ice and snow off the steps! We still found some patches, but your provided salt made a big difference! We had a wonderful stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the herbal tea, the beautiful rooms, and the charming location. One room didn’t seem to warm up with the rest of the house, but that worked out okay because a person in our party likes to sleep in a cool room with provided extra blankets. Thank you!!!

This is a beautiful and well maintained historic property. The interior is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We traveled with another couple and the beds in the rooms we used were very comfortable. The house is quiet and traffic on the nearby street was barely noticeable. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed the Keurig in the kitchen A LOT! 🙂 We were here for a wedding and it rained most of the weekend, but we did get a chance to explore the beautiful backyard. A creek runs across the back of the property and there are comfortable seating areas as well as a disc golf basket. The property is close to town and close to a nearby supermarket so no worries about filling up on needed supplies or finding fun things to do. Communication with the host was easy and fast. If you're in this area needing a place to stay, I definitely recommend this property.

This is a lovely home, full of character. It is one of the cleanest places we've stayed which made it very comfortable. The hosts go out of their way to make you feel welcome by stocking possible needed supplies, including coffee and tea! The kitchen has many items that you may need, the beds were comfortable and communication with host was quick and easy. Good location - Can be many places within 20 minutes. Highly recommend this home!

We have stayed at a lot of vacation rentals, and this one absolutely knocked it out of the park! We were so impressed with both the house and the property. But what blew us away the most was how incredibly well-stocked it was. They thought of almost everything you could possibly need—not just the usual basic toiletries, but extra toothbrushes and toothpaste, too. They even provided baby monitors! We had my 1-year-old grandson with us, and while we didn't end up opening the brand-new box, we truly appreciated that and the other kid-friendly touches. The pantry was incredibly organized-having pens, scissors, and a Polaroid camera ready to go was fantastic. It needed batteries for us to take our picture for the guest board, and yep—the batteries were right there. Absolutely would stay there again.

Everything about the house was perfect. We were 5 older women. The house was spotless and very tastefully decorated. Everything you could possibly need is provided, including all the cookware, dishes, bathroom supplies, and toiletries. I was especially impressed by the coffee bar. Being a coffee junkie, it was nice to have pods and everything else available. The landscaping is beautiful. Very nice country atmosphere, with an "old world" touch.Ashleigh was very responsive to all our needs and responded immediately.

The house was clean, beautifully decorated and well stocked. Lots of stairs, which didn't bother us, but good to note if you have people in your party who can't do stairs. Wonderful little cottage with lots of charm. Would happily return.
