This home has been a "Guest's Favorite" for the past four years, with no less than five star ratings and "Premier Host" status. Uunfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, the account was deleted along with all 40+ reviews. Therefore, this listing is starting over but currently has the same rating on another site with 30+ reviews where they remain "Super Hosts."

In a quiet neighborhood, this quaint vintage home has a cozy feel with all the amenities of home. Stroll down the road to the Hollywood Casino, restaurants, shopping, entertainment, and historic sites. Just a short drive away, enjoy Harpers Ferry Historic National Park, biking, hiking, water rafting, canoeing, ghost tours, wineries, and breweries.A 30-minute drive will take you to Frederick MD, Leesburg VA, Winchester VA. 1 hour will take you to Washington DC, Balitmore MD, and Gettysburg, PA.

The WiIt house is suitable for business travelers and vacationers. There are two bedrooms, the one downstairs has a queen-size bed and the upstairs bedroom has a full-size bed, both have extra linens and blankets. There is a steep staircase leading to the rooms upstairs. The living room also has extra lap blankets. Complimentary Wi-Fi with Netflix is provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with complementary and starter items. The bathroom has starter items: soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash and toilet paper. Towels are provided. Extra electric heaters and fans are provided throughout the home. Water pressure is low if more than one water source is running at the same time. No Laundry facilities on-site. Laundry mat nearby.

Guests will have access to the homes main floor, upstairs, backyard, parking, and patio area. No entry is allowed into the basement, attic, or sheds. These areas and outside common areas have cameras for property and guest security only!! Please do not disturb the neighbors.

Reservations exceeding 14 days at one time cannot be approved due to City Regulations/ Policy. Longer stays are not permitted!!

The property was as described. Any negatives I have are our own fault for being older. It would have been 5 stars across if we were forty years younger looking for a nice long weekend away.

We are sorry that you did not fully enjoy your stay as others have. If you would have communicated your concerns with us, we could have tried to rectify any issues you were having. However, since you departed the property early, did not follow the check-out instructions or notify us, we were not able to help you out. We are business owners and our future guests rely on previous guests reviews, therefore it was unnecessary to leave a bad review since you feel like the issues you had were entirely your fault. Age should not be a factor if the property was as described. Thanks again for choosing to stay with us.

It was a great location for us, central to family and activities. Quiet neighborhood and daughter found lots of historical sites out jogging through Charles Town. Lowered the overall rating because the site indicated there was AC but apparently only seasonally (was advised after arrival that they don't install AC until May). It was high 80's to 90 degrees the week before we came and the inside was over 80 degrees. Couldn't use the bedroom on the 2nd floor as it was almost 90. The fact that AC is only available in certain months should be disclosed in advance.

A lovely, cozy, quaint and quiet home.Everything was lovely inside the home and met all of our needs. Enjoyed the history of ‘ The Wilt House. Truly appreciated a home from the past.We did not use any of the outside amenities due to the extreme heat and did find those areas a bit dirty. The host was very accommodating allowing us to arrive earlier than stated check in time.The little ‘special touches’ inside the home did not go unnoticed and were so appreciated.

We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay. I want to apologize for some of the outside side areas not being as clean as inside, but it has been extremely hot lately and my husband is recovering from a recent heart attack and cannot be out in the extreme weather so it has been alittle neglected. We will do our best rectify this. Thanks for being an outstanding guest!!
