Surrounded by water, this Saugatuck home provides a unique experience unlike any other - as well as the perfect spot for a couple looking to experience a little peace and tranquility. Enjoy the sounds of the water from the back patio and take in the gorgeous views of the Kalamazoo River. Inside, you'll find warm, updated decor that still leaves behind a generous nod to the home's history. Please note that this home has stairs and two levels.



What's nearby:

Within a five-minute walk, you'll find yourself in downtown Saugatuck, where there are plenty of shops, art galleries, and sources of entertainment. In the same area is a selection of waterfront restaurants for dinner with a view. Don't forget to try The Southerner, a top-rated restaurant just a block from the house. To spend a day on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan, head to Oval Beach (one mile west), Douglas Beach (two miles southwest), or Saugatuck Dunes State Park (four miles north).

We loved the opportunity to stay in such a historic and unique place. It was very cozy and clean and the location was great. Saugatuck is such a beautiful area and we had a great time. We especially loved the sunset cruise on the Star of Saugatuck.

Everything was in good order, and we visited in literally the coldest days of this winter and the heat kept up magnificently, it was very cozy. We were sad when we had to leave early due to the weather, to make our changed flight. My only complaints: the parking situation could really be spelled out better in advance- but it's probably not a problem when the weather is nice and the signs aren't covered by snow; also, the pans in the kitchen are probably due for a refresh. Otherwise, everything else was perfect and cozy.

Super cute house

I stayed with my kids and we went fishing in the small river that runs around the house. We saw lots of wildlife—baby deer, geese, ducks, swans, and turtles—which was fun to watch. It’s a short walk into town or to the marina (though swimming isn’t allowed as far as I know). Oval Beach is very close, just a beautiful drive around the water.

Great, cozy spot for a work retreat!

I had a wonderful time at the mill. Very clean, very quiet. Definitely recommend for a solo traveler or couple.
