Two separate lovely, private condo-style suites with Lake Kalamazoo and park views in Saugatuck's downtown historic district, steps away from premier shopping, dining and boating opportunities.

This listing is for Suite #2 (Ndoto) which is located on the second floor above the gallery. See Listing #564572 for information on Suite #1 (Amani Suite) which is located on the main floor at the back of the building.

The suites are located near the Saugatuck Center for the Arts where entertainment options range from live theater and music performances to workshops for the accomplished and budding artist. Stroll through town to the hand-cranked chain ferry that crosses the Kalamazoo River, then walk or take the Inter-Urban bus to world-renowned Oval Beach.

Art Lovers: during your stay, guests of Amazwi Suite enjoy a 10% discount on purchases at Amazwi Contemporary Art, offering original Fine Art from Africa.

2-night minimum stay required, except for the three big holiday weekends of Summer (Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day) when a minimum of 3 nights are required.

Excellent Stay

I’ve visit Saugatuck several times but this was a first for my husband so I wanted a super good spot. I’ve been to the gallery many times and when the suite popped up, I knew it was the place. It did not disappoint!! The location is perfect. The suite is clean, quiet, pretty, comfy and just what we needed. Thank you!

Phenomenal

We will be back! Great property. Very clean. Cannot beat the location. Absolutely loved the porch too. I’m surprised no one mentioned the mirror in the bedroom! The largest we had ever seen! Loved the overall decor too. I would recommend bringing a fire tv stick or Roku if you want access to apps like Netflix. Not a deal breaker by any means, just a recommendation to future guests! Phenomenal and we will absolutely be back!

Nice location

This place is right downtown, so very convenient for walking to everything. It was clean and comfortable, plenty of towels and hot water, and the porch is very nice in good weather. We would come back and stay again.

Second Stay

Just as great as last time. Perfect for a couple, location is great. Everything is walkable with views of the lake. The city has it all, very friendly service between shops and restaurants. Plenty to do. Will be back.

Anniversary trip

Saugatuck

Our second trip to saugatuck. We love the area. The rental was perfect for two people! Very clean and supplied with all the basic amenities! Enjoyed the balcony to people watch. The small park across the street and the water view was great. Nice full size fridge but ice maker didn’t work although there were trays for making ice the old fashioned way. There are steps up to unit but manageable. Shower could be challenge for older group to enter but grab bar was helpful! Small suggestion would be a shelf to left of sink. The narrow ledge over sink did not provide enough room for cosmetic bags, etc. All in all we would stay here again for our next trip to the area! Enjoyed our time there!

Great location!

We really enjoyed our stay at Wally's unit. Comfortable and stylishly furnished. We spent a lot of time on the front deck, gazing at the water and people watching. Close to many things. Would stay again! Also recommend renting one of the little retro boats for 90 min on the river--fun and reasonably priced. A few things the unit was missing was a cutting board (we brought cheese and crackers and wine on our boat ride), coffee filters, and beach towels (or bring your own). It's odd that we could not locate a little store in downtown Saugatuck for essentials like milk for your coffee, so recommend stopping at the store before you get into town. There is a gourmet food shop down the street, but just for things like cheese and crackers! Good restaurants nearby.

Wonderful location!

We had a great time at this property. It was in a wonderful location, was very clean, and had everything we needed. The balcony was a nice bonus. I think it would be a little tight with our kids, but was perfect for a couple's getaway. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect Space, Perfect Location

My husband and I were in Saugatuck for the first time and couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place to stay. The apartment is located near the water next to a lovely park with a nice deck to enjoy the view of the lake. It was clean and comfortable. Shops and restaurants are just steps away. Hiking and beaches were just a short drive.

Great downtown location

The suite had everything you needed and was very comfortable. Best part is the beautiful views from the 2nd floor balcony. We have stayed here before and just booked for next year.

Great location

Nice size and wonderful location with parking nearby. Not big enough for more than 3-4 people but plenty of room. Nice hot shower. Beautiful view of the park and water. Nice porch to relax on

Great location

This place was great for two of us. We enjoyed the fact we could walk to nearby restaurants. There is a balcony with chairs to sit and watch the park and also see the water.

Great location

This unit is very clean and easy walking distance to everything in town. The porch is wonderful to sit on and enjoy the water view. The bed is so comfortable and the sheets were like sleeping on a cloud. I’d definitely stay here again .

A Dream Come True

Our stay in the Ndoto (Swahili word for “dream”) was an absolute delight in every way imaginable. The unit was impeccably clean and our host, Wally, was incredibly welcoming and communicative, and made the check-in process extremely easy. Location could not be beat—it’s right on the outskirts of where all the shops and restaurants are, making it a convenient place to recharge after a full afternoon of exploring while relatively quiet in the mornings and evening. Bed was super comfy and the modern (and have I already mentioned CLEAN) appliances and jacuzzi tub were luxurious touches to cap a dreamy weekend getaway in beautiful Saugatuck.
