The Space:

With charm to spare and a great location within walking distance of Empire Beach, hiking and biking trails, quaint local restaurants and shops, and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, you've chosen wisely with this adorable cottage. The kids and family dog will love the fenced back yard, and you'll love the cozy firepit, perfect for roasting marshmallows at the end of the day. Inside, you'll find a colorful, open space, ideal for reconnecting with family and friends. Use the full kitchen to prep beach snacks, or sit down for a meal together at the sunny dining room table. After a day of exploration, grab a board game for more time together, stream the latest release on either TV, or use the free WiFi to post pics of the day's dune climb to your social media. End the day with a family cookout, and drift off to sleep dreaming of the next day's adventures. Please note that this property does not have A/C. Don’t expect much with this cottage. Even though not costly this cottage is well used and shows it. Cleanliness was acceptable only, but I’m picky.I didn’t find it especially comfortable, but it’s location worked for the reason we were there for.

The cottage has a fenced yard that is nice with a dog, big fridge in the kitchen and is walkable to beach and Main Street, all of which was nice. It was a hit musty when we arrived but not a big deal. The water filter in the fridge didn't work but we had our own filter with us. I think it was overall a nice place to stay but I feel like it was overpriced for what we got.

Love the location. Very clean. My third visit. Lots of moisture this year in Michigan so the deck (northern facing and not much direct sun) smelled a little funky. My dog was very happy with the fenced in yard -- as was I! It got plenty of sun. Issue with wasps at the front door. Not the fault of the property manager that the exterminator couldn't get there before we left. Will stay there again!
