Lazy Bear Retreat

The location was perfect! The house was super clean and had all the amenities we needed. Loves that there were window AC units as our stay ended up happening on the three hottest days of the summer!

Beautiful spot to rest and recharge

We had the best time. We ate out, we shopped and we were able to just have fun and recharge. This was a lovely place to rest. Thank you!

Sweet cottage in Cheyenne canon 💗

Darling little cottage in the cutest neighborhood near great hiking in Cheyenne canon ! Great Communication with property manager Our dog made friends with the neighbors dogs which was fun to see. Morning walks to the reservoir were lovely way to tire him out 🐶

Great location but kitchen lacks a little

Overall a great place to stay. The house was very clean. The location was wonderful. Both Stratton Open Space park and North Cheyenne Canyon are within easy walking distance. The only issue we had was the lack of some basics (wine opener, cutting board) in the kitchen. Also the shower fixtures were tricky to get to work well.

The third bedroom is really only a porch with a single bed. The bedding was dirty and had to be laundered before we could sleep on it. The light in the kitchen is super dim; we had trouble seeing what we were doing. The outdoor spaces had not been maintained, perhaps because it is fall, but it would’ve been nice to be able to sit out on the deck. Otherwise, the stay was fine.

A few shortcomings

I wish it was more clear that you may not be the only people on the property. There is a studio also on the property and it was occupied. We had small kids and that might have factored in to our stay. Also, it has some plumbing issues with the showers that means low pressure and a dangerous mixing valve on one shower. Some rooms get hot and more fans would help. The place is in desperate need of new blinds and curtains; several windows and doors had nothing, even in bedrooms. That's just not safe/smart, especially with another occupant on the property.

The property was good. It was configured a bit weird with stairs where you would not expect them to be. The property was clean and well stocked. The reason for the three star rating comes from the bad air flow and hot bedrooms. Only one bedroom in the back had a window unit and a weak ceiling fan which made us very congested. The window unit in the living room was unable to keep up and had the filter light on the whole time. It looked old. It did nothing to keep the other two bedrooms cool. There were only two weak tower fans for those spaces.

Cozy and quiet

Very nice place. Great neighborhood. Close enough to all things Co Springs. We probably cook more than most people so would have like more items stocked in kitchen but we made do.
