Paddle 2 miles down Swan Pond River to Nantucket Sound or take it easy and explore Great Island a short distance away! Great location! All of the conveniences when you exit the highway, then escape to the sound of the wind whispering through the trees. Osprey and Swans call this place home! A short distance to the bike trail and hiking trails. Double french doors open to a spacious deck with beautiful views of Swan Pond. Table with 4 chairs on a paved patio for a wonderful outdoor dining experience. One king bed, 2 twin beds, 3 seat sofa, full futon. Fully equipped kitchen with Keurig coffee maker! Internet and extended cable with flat screen TV. New refrigerator and stackable washer and dryer. Gas grill with propane, beach chairs, umbrella and cooler. Plenty of parking!

Fall get away

My Girlfriend Annie and I loved the cottage and the location on the pond with the amazing sunrise. The only issue which was a minor one was that the fire place didn't work but that happens sometimes. All in all we had wonderful time here

Beautiful location

My husband and I stayed for a fall weekend. The cottage was clean and well appointed. The location on Swan Pond was beautiful -- sunrises over the pond were spectacular and could be viewed from the deck or anywhere in the house as well!. The dirt road approach was not as bad as some reported if taken slow. We had no problem with it. Very peaceful and relaxing. Thanks!

Birder’s delight!

We came up in October for a long weekend. The house is just as pictured, and Peggy was a gracious host. The highlight for me was waking up to both a beautiful view of the lake and an amazing array of birds. The sunrises over Swan Pond are spectacular. Our 11-year-old daughter loved the hammock. Just a cautionary note- watch out for ticks! It’s in the woods. All in all a great vacation.

Weekend get away

Great little house on Swan Pond. Though it rained all weekend we enjoyed the rest by watching movies and reading books.

Swan Pond

This property is right on the pond. It is cozy, clean, beautiful, and peaceful. Kitchen is fully stocked. The living room has two sofas that are very comfortable and so are the beds! We had a wonderful time!

A beautiful vacation property

This fabulous property was perfect for our 5-night getaway! The house was immaculate and included towels & linens, air conditioning, 2 kayaks & a canoe for exploring Swan Pond, in addition to beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers & life jackets. I was happy to be able to bring my dog and she loved hanging out with us on the patio while enjoying the water views and nature all around. This was my idea of a perfect vacation home - it was well equipped, had comfortable furniture and the owners responded quickly to any questions I had. I look forward to another vacation in this well-kept home on Swan Pond!

Swan Pond Getaway

Swan Pond views are exceptional. Road into the property in poor shape. Glad our vehicle had good ground clearance. Would be nice to have instruction for the TV system and washer/dryer. Needs a conventional Mr Coffee like coffee maker. Grind and brew no help. Nice outdoor amenities and seating for younger folks.

A Hidden Gem

We stayed at this property for 2 weeks and highly recommend it. The views of Swan River are so lovely. We sat on the large patio overlooking the water whenever we could. The view from the bedroom is spectacular. We loved the kitchen and routinely ate our meals at the island. The only drawback were the surrounding properties are pretty junky but fortunately, there is enough privacy at this property that we could put our gaze elsewhere. The location of the property is a short distance away from restaurants and beaches. We went to Clancy's, The Ocean House Grill, and did a lot of shopping at Ring Brothers. It's a great stay!

Peaceful

Second time staying at this wonderful home. We enjoyed mornings on the deck over looking the lake, days kayaking down the river to the ocean and peaceful nights under the blanket of stars. The house is packed full of windows, so even on our one rain day we were able to enjoy the panoramic views of the lake and nature. Thanks for allowing us to enjoy your little slice of heaven for a few days! I am sure we will be back again!!

Very cute cottage

We had a lovely time at Swan Pond Cottage. Everything was as described, cottage was clean and well provisioned with essentials. Per other reviews, we decided to take our larger vehicle with more clearance due to the road in. It is rough and I’m not sure if our sedan would have had enough clearance. This is the road itself and not the driveway, so not the responsibility of the owners.

It’s all about the view!

When I saw the pictures of this little hide away and the view of Swan Pond, I was hooked! It is exactly as described. Very clean, kitchen was well stocked, the bed was a bit hard for my taste but perfect for my husband’s bad back. There’s a Stop & Shop very close by so no worries if you forget something. There’s also an Urgent Care in the same shopping center. We did a few things over weekend but honestly, I could have just sat and stared at the beautiful view all weekend and I would have been very happy! Would love to go back one day.

We love this little place

This is our second time coming to the cottage and we are going to try to book it for the fall. Also, we love the quiet and the pond. Everything about this little cottage is amazing if I had the money I would try so hard to buy this property.

Nice pond view however…..

We had a difficult time finding the house. We finally found the cottage, rather. So … the road had many pot holes, its a long dirt road. We past a very odd property with lots of junk, lots of junk. This property is a couple of houses away. The bathroom cabinet, dirty. I cleaned it. The shower very old, run down The TV needed help, my husband fixed it. Plastic dishes in the kitchen. My husband cut his foot in the bathroom.l, heal area. A small peice of glass by the toilet. The house smelled smokey. The plus side- Great views, the bed was very comfortable. Get a truck if you plan on staying here.

Beautiful site

We came in October. The cottage is well-furnished and in a quiet and lovely location right on the pond. We had our dog with us. All had a refreshing and relaxing time. Highly recommend.

October on the Cape

Beautiful Water Location

This home is right on the water of Swan Pond, exactly as it is shown in the pictures. There is a nice size deck with ample furniture, a picnic table, and kayaks. The bedding was quite comfortable. The only improvement that I can suggest is to supply better toiletries. We had a kids formula 3-in-1 soap/shampoo/conditioner that we found hard to rinse off our bodies and out of our hair. And some facial tissues would have been helpful. Our favorite day at this location was a nice sunny one where we could hang out during the afternoon to kayak, read, and play games. Loved that day!

Wonderful Spot

Wonderful central location. Photos of the rental are very accurate. Nice airy, open floorplan with lots of windows and lots of light! And right on the water. Very cozy and comfortable space. It rained a lot while we were there so it was nice to have lots of natural light as we snuggled up to the fire place to read books or watch a movie. We hope to return!

The house is very well taken care of and very clean. Close to beaches and very quiet. I think the trees should be trimmed so you can get a complete view of the pond.
