We have two separate lovely, private condo-style suites with views of Lake Kalamazoo (Saugatuck's Harbor) and Coughlin Park in Saugatuck's downtown Historic District, steps away from premier shopping, dining and boating opportunities.

This listing is for Suite #1 (Amani Suite) which is located on the main floor at the back of the Amazwi Contemporary Art gallery building. See Listing # 40745 for information on Suite #2 (Ndoto Suite) which is on the second floor above the gallery.

The suites are located near the Saugatuck Center for the Arts where entertainment options range from live theater and music performances to workshops for the budding artist, and weekly Farmers' Market in the Summer. Stroll through town to the hand-cranked Chain Ferry that crosses the Kalamazoo River, then walk or take the Inter-Urban bus to world-renowned Oval Beach.

Art Lovers: during your stay, guests of Amazwi Suites enjoy a 10% discount on purchases at the Amazwi gallery, offering original fine art paintings, sculpture, jewelry and unique crafts from Africa.

Perfect cozy location

This suite is in the perfect location for a visit to Saugatuck. I could walk to everything I wanted to see. I was traveling alone; so this cozy, sophisticated space was just right! And, naturally, because it is owned & operated by the adjacent art gallery, there is lovely art throughout.

Ideal location

A great location for a short stay in Saugatuck. Unit looked out across a park and to the lake. It was a short walk to all of the spots in town and as attached to an art gallery. Bed was very comfortable and the original artwork thru out the apartment was a nice touch.

Wedding weekend

This was an ideal location for our stay. We were attending a wedding and several of our friends were at nearby locations in downtown Saugatuck. It was nice to be able to walk to get together with them and easily access the many shops and restaurants in town.

Cute and comfortable

This property was cute, clean, and in a perfect spot for shopping and sightseeing in Saugatuck. We normally stay in a B&B so this was a nice change to have more room and privacy. We were concerned about not having designated parking, but it worked out fine. We liked having windows that opened for a nice breeze and the park right across the street. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect Location

We had an amazing time! Everything was within walking distance and the property was extremely clean. The check in and check out process was easy. One thing to keep in mind is that the TV does not have streaming service, like Netflix, Hulu, AppleTav, etc., so if you want to wind down with a show at the end of the night, it is DIRECTV only

Venetian Festival Weekend

This is the perfect place to land and explore Saugatuck! Every aspect of my stay was easy and just right. The place was spotless and location was walkable to all things Saugatuck yet tucked away. Perfect rental in a perfect location

Stop looking! This is the rental you want. Pictures are an exact replica of what you will see when you open the door. This condo is super clean and immediately feels homey upon entry. Everything you need is there from a spacious bedroom, to the amenities in the kitchen and a great living room area with two huge floor to ceiling windows. You are half a block to the waterfront from one side and 10 steps from downtown from the other side. The unit has its own private patio with a bistro table as well as two lounge chairs. People watching is at a premium from this comfortable patio with coffee or wine in hand. The AC is central air - not one of those overbearing, noisy stand alone units that keeps you awake at night. It was a great stay in Saugatuck, and we will definitely return to this rental again. Thank you, Wally, for your hospitality!

Downtown Saugatuck!

This place is perfect! Very clean and comfortable! Butler street is right around the corner! It was only an easy 10 minute drive to Oval beach, Mount Baldhead Park as well as Saugatuck Dunes! Loved settling back in our cozy area, walk around Butler Street and grabbing something to eat.

Location, location, location!

Walking distance to the shopping and resaurants. Suite is well appointed with nice decor and very clean. All this with a view of the park and the harbor. Definitely will stay again.

Perfect location!

This was a very cozy apartment, just steps from the river and the whole downtown area. Well equipped kitchen. The apartment could have used more lighting, and the tub grout needs some TLC. Great mattress and linens, and would certainly stay again!

A lovely stay

We so enjoyed our stay at the Amazwi Gallery Peace suite. The location was perfect for shopping downtown Saugatuck and the water view was the cherry on top! Can’t wait to return.

This is a great 'in-town' location because it is within walking distance of everything, yet it is on a side street removed from the restaurants and bars so there is not street/sidewalk traffic at night. Across the street is Coughlin Park and views of Lake Kalamazoo Harbor.
