One of my favorite places we have stayed. Everything was as described in the listing. Hopefully we can come back again. Will definitely be the house we want to stay in. Our host, Margaret, was the best. I recommend staying here.

This is my third stay at the Mermaid Cottage. Martha is such an excellent host and provides so much great information. The house is beautifully decorated and well stocked. Extremely close to the beach in a beautiful neighborhood.I would highly recommend this home!

This was just the best location for our girls getaway weekend. The beds are comfy. The couches are over stuffed - there’s cute little corners to tuck yourself in - the pool is wonderful - the location is perfect with convenient access to restaurants or the beach to walk to. Everything about this home was absolutely wonderful. Martha was very hands-on in communicating with us very promptly if we sent a message. This was someone’s loved home that feels like it was generations of great memories in it. the yard and home was very clean, the kitchen well stocked with dishes and pans. I have nothing negative at all to say there - good parking, plenty of towels and an abundance of blankets and pillows and it was just absolutely amazing! The back cottage is just adorable. Everything is decorated so cute. I definitely will be returning to this property. It was just perfect!.

Great relaxing place to house family as we celebrated our 100th annual reunion at crooked river.Easy kitchen, great pool, tons of table talk with my 99 year old aunt. See you next year!

Everything about Mermaid Cottage was wonderful! The property was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The pool was great and we thoroughly enjoyed spending hours outside next to it. Martha also thought of every imaginable thing a family would need for a great trip to St. Simon's Island. The kitchen was well supplied and there were plenty of towels. There were also ample beach chairs and a beach umbrella, which made packing for our trip very easy. The cottage is in a great location. Both Pier Village and the beach were within a 10 minute walk. We truly enjoyed our time staying at Mermaid Cottage and cannot say enough positive things about this location.

Wonderful Vacation Spot on SSI

We have stayed at Mermaid numerous times over the year when visiting SSI and it has never disappointed us. We will be back again soon!

Wonderful place

Great location for quick access to beach, shops, restaurants. The cottage has everything we could have possibly needed. Lots of room for our big family. And the detached guest house was wonderful for gram and gramps to go to have quiet time while the kiddos were still running wild lol!

Nice space

We really enjoyed having the space for 5 adults to relax in the evenings. The kitchen was well-stocked and very nice. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Stay

The Mermaid Cottage was a “home away from home” for us for a month and we hope to return. It’s a great location with an easy walk to the beach and downtown. The cottage is well equipped with quality linens, paper goods and kitchen ware. No thin towels or scratchy toilet paper! The heated pool and guest house set this property above the competition. The owner was very communicative and responded immediately to a very minor problem with the dishwasher. In four weeks that was our only issue, and it's hardly worth mentioning. This property is highly recommended!

Family trip

The property location is in a great location. The cabins layout allowed for family dinner and game night. Having the pool room was great for allowing family to have their own space.

Wonderful!

We had such a great stay! The house was exactly as described, very well stocked with everything you’d need. The pool was very warm. Beaches close by, beach chairs to use at the house.

Wedding weekend

Our family stayed for a long weekend while celebrating our daughter’s wedding. The cottage is cute, with plenty of space, nice short walk to beach and village area. Loved it!

Our stay in SSI

The mermaid cottage is the perfect place to stay on SSI. Close to everything and every detail is taken care of at the house. The pool and guest house is fantastic as well. Martha is a fantastic host and we will be back to this beautiful home away from home.

We had 8 family members ranging from 22 - 85 years of age. We all had a wonderful time and we very comfortable in the beautiful cottage!

Perfect SSI Vacation Spot

We spent the week with our older teens and young 20s kids and their partners. The house was very well stocked for cooking large meals and was set up perfectly for family conversations, games and fun. We loved the pool and the proximity to the beach and the village was awesome as well. Fantastic home, you can’t go wrong!

May Mermaid Experience

Our family loved the charming cottage and the location. We walked to beach and restaurants , rode bikes and always enjoyed the safe environment. We appreciate that the cottage is so well equipped. There is already talk about a trip there again in the future. Thank you The info about restaurants etc, you provided was great.
